Well i just got an absolute powerhouse of a sub .. an Ava 15 do you think itll take an kx1200.1? ne one with expierience wiht it?

ok so i finally got rid of my audiobahn flames q 12's and i ordered a set of custom D4 RE SX hybrids from scott...(former engineer of RE) for 350 for the pair.Do you guys think i will see a good overall diff from the audiobahns to the new ones??? they will be going in the same box i have now which is 4.5cu and 38hz.

ok so i found these and they are well within my price range. are these eclipse 3 way component sets any good? anyone here that has used or heard them? they seem like a steal for a 3 way set. 6 1/2 eclipse 3 way set

ok i'm switching out my 2 15"kicker cvx's for two Fi Q 15"s and don't know which voice coil option to get dual 1 or dual 2ohm?? my amp is 1ohm mono..but i hear the fi subs have some weird voice coil they say the ohm's are like .8 or 1.5 ohm subs???what's the deal with that? if so what do i need to do?

Quick question... What would 6 dual 2 ohm subs wire down to? For example... If I got 6 SA-8s d2 what ohm would they wire to.. Lowest ohm together or all possibilities.

I purchased the 6 $100 special they had a while back, and I'm now ready to install 4 of the 6. I have an 880HU, and an Infinity 7541a (4ch) to run my mids & highs. I need some suggestions for tweeters (4) that will go good with what I currently have. Thx guys, Vic.

Hey what's up I'm new here and I'm on here because I have been looking at these two sets of speakers for a few weeks now and I can't decide between the two. The first one is a pair of Focal 165A1s they look really nice and they sound great as far as I could tell in the local shop. I can get those for 300 from them. The other pair is a pair of Image Dynamics CTX 65cs I heard these briefly and they sounded ok and they are super loud I just can't decide if the difference is enough to warrant a 100 dollar price increase for for the Focals. Does anyone have any first hand experience with both of these sets. I'd have either set powered adequately with what ever amplifier I need…

I was looking at subs at Partsexpress and I saw this. I didn't know who the original manufacturer was but I was hoping you guys might be able to guess. Does parts express have a good reputation (as in, was this really a 550 sub?) My guess would be maybe one the earliest Brahmas, but who knows. hi, i have a 12" type r that needs a recone (burnt vc) and since i can get a new one for almost the same price for a recone kit i figure that i would try to do a hybrid sub with it. but here is my problem. the type r uses a 2 " diameter vc and the basket has an opening for that size vc. so while i was looking around and i could find any sub that had a 2" vc that was worth doing something like this to. so i was wondering if anybody knows any subs that uses 2" vc. and also if anybody could tell me how a type r gets a burnt vc from only 375 watts. i see that tc sounds epic have a 2" diameter vc.

1999 mercedes benz kompressor c230 I plans are to stay full IA apart from components/coaxials via CDT. But I don't consider this a car really "usable" for spl so i'm at a loss as to what I should go for now, original plans were 6 10" 187 in a s10 extended cab on a new 20.1 but... didn't go that route and this is what I ended up with for 3000 dollars. Hey, it's a benz I still would like to do the 20.1 down the road but i'm at a total loss as to what subs to try now as room/trunk would be an issue, never had a trunk car so i'm unsure how those setups work exactly. Whats up guys. Ive been trying to build a box for my (yet to arrive) 18" Ascendant Audio Chaos but it isn't really turning out how i would like it. You guys must have some tricks/ideas that i just dont know about yet (ive only built L-Ported boxes)! I'm trying to get this box as big as possible with the small dimensions i have to work with. I dont know about the tuning frequency, i've been happy with 33hz in previous setups, but i dont know, what do you recommend? I listen to rap music. First post here so excuse me if this is a dumb question. I have an RE SEX 12 in a sealed downfiring box with a Hifonics series 7 Zeus bridged at 4 ohms. The setup sounds great and hits all notes effortlessly. This sub started popping after a day or two at high levels though so i adjusted the gains way down. Will a sub with a higher power handling capacity help this or am i doing something wrong?

i need to ship a sub to get it reconed and need some tips on pakaging...i am going to wrap the sub with a bag and spandy foam around it but need tips on what size box i would need the sub is 9" from tip of motor to rim

I convinced myself to go ahead and put a couple subs in my truck. I don't want to have to raise my seat or anything, so I'm going with a enclosure from Fox acoustics designed for my truck. But I still have a couple of questions... I know I will not be able to get ground shaking bass out of two tens or twelves, so I'm going for a sq setup. as for power I don't have an amp yet but I don't want to go overboard with power. 1. should I go with two vented 10's or two sealed 12's? 2 what's a good shallow mount dub to go with for under $300

Just wondering if ne1 went Sunday,about 50 cars were on hand.It was hot as *ell,got to see some decent cars but wasn't too impressed,had I had my ported box for the Mag I would've definitely got metered.The loudest vehicles were a pick-up(JL stuff) & some rust bucket on wheels ,dont know what he was rocking.Nonetheless we had a good time,got some free t-shirts & other misc. stuff.

So I'm really considering picking up two 12" RL-Ps for the new car. I've been reading through the forum here and it seems like people have nothing but great things to say about them. Add that to the fact that they have relatively small ported enclosure recommendations, and you have piqued my interest. The old system was 2 12" Infinity Reference subs (sealed) with 300W on each in a Cavalier. Sounded like crap, but at least I had some bass. I have said goodbye to that car/setup almost a year ago now and I really need something in the new car. I still have to measure the trunk to figure out how much space I want to give up. well i got a alpine R type last year model 12" but there is a crackly sound coming from it when it hits it goes with the music but it crackles, if i called alpine could they do something about it? i bought it a week ago from ultimate electronics. but htey are all closed in texas.

after doing a "uninstall" i ended up scuffing the surround on the subs. one is pretty bad (atleast i think). what can i do to fix this? just silicon it? it did not punture the sub its just looks bad.

Im getting ready to buy my first subs, I cant decide on either a 15' or 18' fi bl (price doesnt matter) i want a sub that people can hear from a mile away lol...anyways which would hit harder for my needs?

Okay, well, I'm almost complete with the fiberglass enclosure for the MAG 15, but it's about 80% glass. I am having a little trouble with panel resonance. Now, this was just the first listening session and it was without any poly in the box. I'm wondering if polyfil will cure this or is there some other means I should look to? The actual interior has been sealed with rubberized undercoating, but it is not a very thick layer and hasn't seemed to do much other than completely seal it up just in case there were any small holes (which I know there's not because I'm just that good). Any help?
