Subwoofers / Speakers

I've dwindled my options down to the SSA GCON 15 and the FI SSD 15 (based on price and the power I plan to use.) So i'm going with 2.5cu sealed for either sub on 500-750watts. I'm just need some options on which would be the better overall sub for my application. Or if the difference won't be that noticeable.

I purchased the 6 $100 special they had a while back, and I'm now ready to install 4 of the 6. I have an 880HU, and an Infinity 7541a (4ch) to run my mids & highs. I need some suggestions for tweeters (4) that will go good with what I currently have. Thx guys, Vic.

Since I have a son my girl wants a car seat in both cars I have to take the 15s out the back seat and I won't be able to do my dp21 I'm thinking about 3 10s facing into the car and porting the back deck. I'm about to pick up a crunch 3000d and its going into a 02 Pontiac sunfire. Alright ive been looking around at subs for a while now and ive kind of narrowed my search down a bit i want to keep it around 400 bucks if i do a single 12" or under 500 for two 10"s (i can buy one at a time). So the drivers ive been looking at so far are the Mach 5 SPL 12 which already has a triple stack magnet. The btl 12" with the third mag and longer coil (no cooling cant afford it), or two fi Q10"s. OK, so im trying to put new 6.5's in my moms car for christmas. and her stock speakers (blown) had 2 sets of wires coming to them, they were 2 negative and 2 positive. to each speaker. and the speakers i bought have only 1 set.(1 positive and 1 negavitve). so how do i hook it up. just put both positive to the 1 on the spaker? or only use 1 set of wires?

I just ordered to Fi Q 15 subs and a AQ2200D amp. I currently have some Best Buy pioneer speakers in my truck and would like to know what i should up-grade to for better sound quality at high bass volumes. I am putting this setup in an ext. cab dodge dakota, so i will have to get 2 pair of these speakers or component system. I am will to spend up to about the $200 range. Any suggestions? I was wondering if there was anyone around that can recone 6.5in mids? One was defective when I recieved the set and the store I bought it from wants me to uninstall the entire comp set and then pay to have them warrantied (not happening). Anyway, I haven't done much research so if anyone knows anybody who can do it then great. They are the mids from the Cadence CWM-6KIT. The recent ones, they're all over eBay. Thanks in advance.

I am thinking about down stepping down from my 18's and going with something more practical. I have a 2001 gmc 1500 extended cab and im thinking about putting 2 10'' subs underneath the seat. I plan on raising the seat 2'' and hope to have about 3.5 cubic ft. so I would like some recommendations on subs please. I have been looking at the psi platform 1 or ssa gcon but I am open for other options. I would like to go for as much spl as I can get with an under the seat setup. I'm looking at the RE SR subs for 600 watts and I may run a pair of the 10s. However I saw that the 12s only require 1.5 subs per sub tuned to 35 hz. Does that sound right? If it is correct what type of sound would that produce? Would it have good SQ and get loud?

I spent some time on the net looking a different box design programs ,as I'm getting to build my first box ,and now more confused than ever. esp. with WinISD which many seem to use. There always seems to be a box or component of the software I don't know how to complete and so never seem to realize any ultimate box design. I'm leaning to making a sealed box ultimately, but am somewhat interested in a slot ported box if I can get the dimensions right that will fit in one side of the trunk of my car "95 Impala SS" and a programme that will let me configure those measurements. Greetings, i'm looking at purchasing some new mids/high speakers for my car. i was going to go find the AA componets or get the Infinity Kappa coax's. my question is if i get the kappa's will i regret not buying the AA's? i plan to get 2 pairs of 6x9's (threeway), 1 pair of 3.5's. now my next question is would it be recommended to get the kappas as well as the componets? like maybe get a set of componets for the doors? also are the kicker KS's better quality then the kappa's?

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy. I'm running 2 Sundown SA15's on a Hifonics BRE1600.1 I'm getting ready to start a new box because i realized a measured the last one wrong so i only have about 4.5 cubes net. Clearly not enough for the subs . Here are my maximum dimensions. I can go 37 wide THE'ts right on the wheels wells would probably have about a 1/4" on each side. I would go 25 deep. Gives me about 7 1/2 inches to the back hatch. 24 high gives about a foot to the roof. Any idea's for a box. Probably just gonna stick with 35hz and I want it to be very loud but i want to be able to listen to music not just do burps. I think that's all the needed info right?

Does anyone know what this sub is. I have somebody looking to sell it to me but we don't know what it its. \ And yes it is a 10".

Hey guys! got a bit of a scenario I'm hoping you can help me with. In about august every year we have a local competition that we compete in and every year we've won our class. Typically every year i buy a new sub and try to beat our old score and so on and so on. Last year I used an 18" BL with D1 coils. I ran it off my JBL BP amp and things weren't to bad. Recently though i've acquired a Sundown and am very happy to be using it to its full potential. Problem #1, the BP puts out max power @ 2 ohms and the sundown puts it out @ 1 ohms and my BL is either a .5 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofer. (its not universal) This got me thinking though and this is where I am hoping to get some…

Yep, splurged on the Civic. Any type of volume that allowed you to hear over the road noise was polluted by the slap of a limp dick suspension, so while at the world with me madre today I happened to walk through the audio section and saw some 5 1/4" drivers for somethin like $5.99. I had some radioshack 4" drivers a while back and they actually sounded somewhat decent, so I figured the same would hold true for these, at least somewhat. It didn't really... At least now in the mornings on the way to school, I can listen to the talk shows. I guess.

will going from a 15" JBL GTO 300w rms sub in a sealed box to a 12" icon in a ported box be louder for spl

my plan was to run a single 15 sealed in about 2.3cuft. i did some more measuring last night and i could maybe get 3cuft. i may have to rethink my amp mounting. so i narrowed it down to an Fi 15Q (will work if i go sealed), Fi 15SSA, (will not work sealed), and the DC level 3 15 (sealed or ported). my amp will run 800rms at 4ohm, 1600peak. i am interested in the level 3 15; it is the lowest rated sub in the group. are those numbers conservative? i did pm rusty. he said it would run fine at that level sealed. how are hard have those who own one pushed it? am i really losing much going sealed. i guess i am gun shy. thanks.
