does anyone on this forum have any experience with orion hcca's? buying some very shortly and i want some testimony as to how they perform and if they experience any common problems. i watched their head to head comp on youtube but that doesnt tell me much. any feedback is greatly appreciated. they are for daily street beating and are gonna be powered by a zx2500.1 and in a 6 cub ft. box @ 35hz.

I already have one rl-i8 soundsplinter but i worried that I won't get enough out of it (not in car yet) so ive been lookin at porting it I can't go any bigger then 1 cube after port. it will get 400watts. I would just get one more and do two sealed but I can't afford another one. I have never built a ported box before, what size chamber and port do I use? can I just build one like this guy? this would fit in where I want it. at 400watts would this get plenty loud? want to hit at least 135db. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=246811 thanks all before hand

i have 99 f350 reg cab long box and would love to build a system but dont want to loose comfortablity i would like to put some shallow subs in a box behind the seat 3-4 shallows dont know what brand and or will it sound loud and nice any help will be apreciated

Hey guys I was wondering what's the difference between tweeters and image tweeters? I'm just curious. Thanks for the answers.

I want to get something like a single 12 or 10 and a 500 watt rms amp. Been looking at the store on here and cant seem to match anything. Ive always had jl, and had a 12 w6v2 with the 500 watt slash amp and liked it. I want to see if there is a cheaper alternative (there has to be) i like the look of the sundown amps, but 1200 watts is the smallest, yikes. any ideas. I was thinkning maybe the dual 10 setup they have in the store. I think its 2 10" dcons or something with the 125.2 amp. Any other ideas. Not looking for tons of bass, just some smooth low end to put in the car.

Ok, i bought a us amp md3d. I am having trouble choosing what subwoofer to get. I cant go over 6-7 for the subs. Im not looking for "alot" of SQ and this for a daily driver. 1. 2 FI BL 15's 2. 1 FI BTL 15 3. 2 SSA ICON 15's 4. I just installed a set of image dynamics x69. I am running them full range right now with the high pass set at 60hz. The 3sixty.2 hasn't even been tuned yet. I am not even bridging the sax 50.4 yet. For some reason I am getting a scratching noise on some of the mid-high frequencies (ex:someone singing a higher octave). I was not playing these loud at all. In fact we were just testing them to make sure sound came out. Is this because the speaker was not meant to play higher frequencies? When I integrate my horn tweeters should I be fine or is there a possibility that something is wrong with either the install or the product itself? Any input would be great. Thanks!

Does anyone know the cutout for an eclipse Ti 12"? I've got box built, just need to make the cutout, but don't know what it is. Help would be nice since eclipses site doesn't say anything.

I just wondering if there is a way to calculate how much port area you need? I know a basic way to do this is to have 16 square inches of port area for every cube of box volume. I also know that port area needed for a driver has nothing to do with the volume of the enclosure. so how would I calculate the right amount of port area for a driver?

I am going to be ordering a 10" FI Q in the next couple of days. It will be going in a sealed box with .57 cu. ft. or airspace after displacement. I will probably be running it with an older Memphis 1000d I have laying around. I know I need to add the high QTS option to it, but should I add the cooling option as well? This may actually be a stupid question but does the cooling option add any length to the mounting depth? My box is only 7" deep so I dont have any room to play with being that the mounting depth for the Q is already 6.5". Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Well just payed for an ordered a FI x 10" I plan to run it sealed off the back two channels of my amp. It set me back a bit more than i wanted but everything i hear about this woofer is really good.

How much power would you guys recommend for a DC Level 4 XL 10 or 12. I just want the shock factor of holy shit thats a 10?!?!?! lol

Okay so I want to get new subs I have 2 memphis C3's right now and looking for something that is loud and clean and you can feel it in your chest my dubget is under $900 and no bigger than 15's please help me having trouble choosing new subs.

I am building a new enclosure to put in the trunk of a car... It will be built with the sub facing upward, so which direction should i face the port? Should it fire towards the front, side, or back? I do not want to fire it towards the back if I do not have to because it make the trunk lid rattle more... Please help me w/ this asap... Thanks guys.

Is there any programs off the top of your head that i can play with for a sub enclosure for my new build.Still going back and forth between F1 15s or L715s.This would go in a 1996 Chevy exdt.cab without the rear seat.

How much volume is occupied by the mj-18 driver? Are the recommended box volumes the internal volume of the box, or is it the internal volume minus the drivers volume? Thanks

i got 2 12's with a pg tantrum 1200.1 to power them. i'm running them sealed and would like to go to ported. i want to go for LSQ but a little more on the spl side. i totally suck at designing ports. if someone can come up with some measurements or a design i would really really really appreciate it.
