I am thinking of either doing 2 10's or 1 12. It's going in a trunk car. Honda prelude. Small trunk :/ Space I have for box = Height - 16. Width - 16. Length - 28(side to side) Watt is best for this much space? The 2 10's(witch are going to be 2 xcons) Or 1 12(1 Zcon) If the 2 10 xcons are doable I am going to be powering them with a crescendo bc3500. If the zcon is possible I am also planning on powering it with the crescendo bc3500 (with caution of course don't want to blow it) or would the bc2000D be enough?

  2. been browsing some more known sites known for their technicality and knowledge instead of CA Forum Flame fests. i need some suggestions on which dedicated 7" midbass drivers work best in IB enclosures when installed in properly deadened doors. im looking to spend up to 250$ for the 2 drivers. and the size cant exceed 7", i plan on high passing the midbasses around 65hz - 70hz with a high 24 db slope. and playing them up to 300hz where my cdt hd 4" will take it from there. Will be feeding up to 125 - 130 watts at 4 ohms from a 100.2 sundown amp. I need some driver suggestions but as of now, i hear the following are some respectable drivers. AA Poly's Adire Extremis Peerles…

Yep, splurged on the Civic. Any type of volume that allowed you to hear over the road noise was polluted by the slap of a limp dick suspension, so while at the world with me madre today I happened to walk through the audio section and saw some 5 1/4" drivers for somethin like $5.99. I had some radioshack 4" drivers a while back and they actually sounded somewhat decent, so I figured the same would hold true for these, at least somewhat. It didn't really... At least now in the mornings on the way to school, I can listen to the talk shows. I guess.

Alright ive been looking around at subs for a while now and ive kind of narrowed my search down a bit i want to keep it around 400 bucks if i do a single 12" or under 500 for two 10"s (i can buy one at a time). So the drivers ive been looking at so far are the Mach 5 SPL 12 which already has a triple stack magnet. The btl 12" with the third mag and longer coil (no cooling cant afford it), or two fi Q10"s. I like loud bass. I want to hear the words over the bass, but dont mind if the music is flooded with bass (running four boston coax's til i have money for two sets of components to replace em). This is mostly for daily driving I will be powering it with a PA a3000db (not…

  9. It's looking like I may be picking up an Eclipse SW9182Pro...18"...need to decide on an enclosure for it. I'm limited to 1.4kW, so I'm thinking of using a larger box to lower the Qtc and increase efficiency - space is not a concern. Porting it is another idea, but it would have to be to an extremely low frequency - I'd like to use this enclosure over when I move it inside, I'm buying this with the intention of using it at home someday. I'm thinking even 27Hz would be too high of a tuning frequency for music/HT. Any ideas?

  10. Ok I bought an rd sonance last year for my girls car. I didn't install it for 3 4 weeks after recieving it. After maybe a week of playtime it started cutting out and if I pushed on the cone it'd start back up so I figured it was a bad tinsel lead. Then one side of the coil died off completely so I ran it on one coil for awhile and it was fine until we decided to introduce it to a wall socket lol. Now I have a rd super paper weight lol.. Is it worth a recone or should I just sell the motor n basket if possible?

looking at either 2 BM 10's ported or 1 Mag 12 sealed, i figure price will be about the same and box size shouldn't be huge issue. which would be a more efficient use of the power available?

  12. by using the re audio box calculator and attempting to account for the displacement of the sub listed on the ssa site ive come up with these specs i would like thoughts please and thank you im going for a mix of rap country and rock on probably 400 rms i figure once i get my components my midbasses would be mainly responsible for the kick is that correct where as if that is the case i would like for the sub to go low and hit the deep bass my available area is w38in h 15.5 in d 18.5 in the re box calculator says 36.5x12x13.5 with .75 for mdf would give 2.249 ft3^ that is with the ssa listed sub displacement of .14 included it also shows port height 10.5 width 1.5 length 1 …

I have 2 12 inch pioneer champion pro's. The amp I am running is an hifonics zeus 3000 watt running at 4 ohms. When the subs are played there is a knocking sound coming from in the box. I dont think the speaker is blown though because when I put pressure on the back of the box, the knocking sound goes away. Any ideas?

I convinced myself to go ahead and put a couple subs in my truck. I don't want to have to raise my seat or anything, so I'm going with a enclosure from Fox acoustics designed for my truck. But I still have a couple of questions... I know I will not be able to get ground shaking bass out of two tens or twelves, so I'm going for a sq setup. as for power I don't have an amp yet but I don't want to go overboard with power. 1. should I go with two vented 10's or two sealed 12's? 2 what's a good shallow mount dub to go with for under $300

What do you look for in an SQ sub? What t/s parameters and such makes a geat SQ sub. Now I know that SQ is subjective, but most companies make an SQ geared sub. As a buyer, what should we look for in this type of sub?

I was using SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) tweets for a while and really liked them. They got stolen and my plan was to either buy new ones or go with the LPGs. Any opinions? They are currently paired with a Dayton RS125-8 5" but the the daytons don't output enough for me. I threw them in my doors because they were all that I could fit. I'll likely switch them out for a pair of my MLI65s or something. Deck is a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS running active. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello, After hearing a few of my recent builds a friend of mine wants me to build him a subsystem with a price right around 1k (not including labor) so here are a few combos I thought of. Amp Adire ada 1200 (1200wrms at 4ohm) Tapco J2500 (2500wrms at 4ohm) Subs The new 15" RLS (one) a pair of RLP 15's or 12 A single SSA adire made 18 8 RE 8's on sale! I don't have much more than 10 cubic feet to work with. He listens to rock mostly. large room, gothic rocker looking house. I was thinking a pair of rlp 12s in a wicked one with this african mask mounted in the front with red lit eyes would be sweet. He has lots of skeletons and gargoyles in his house. go ahead and get …

So I plan on taking advantage of the SAZ-1500D sale this month and I am going to need to decide which sub(s) to purchase as well. I'm looking for a little guidance in this respect. I own a trunk car so I'd like to keep the size of the box down if at all possible - I'm thinking under 3 cubes. So that probably leaves me with either one 12" ported, or 2 12" sealed. I guess I could do 1 15" sealed too. I listen to mostly rap, so SQ is of little concern, but I don't want it to sound like complete crap either, at least to me. I have been thinking of either a 12" BL or 2 12" SSDs. However, I'm definitely not firm with these choices. I'm looking for recommendations. Again, lookin…

I am thinking about down stepping down from my 18's and going with something more practical. I have a 2001 gmc 1500 extended cab and im thinking about putting 2 10'' subs underneath the seat. I plan on raising the seat 2'' and hope to have about 3.5 cubic ft. so I would like some recommendations on subs please. I have been looking at the psi platform 1 or ssa gcon but I am open for other options. I would like to go for as much spl as I can get with an under the seat setup. I have a AQ3500.1D and a dc power alt and 3 batteries. thanks for any help......
