Just wondering, will the M series will still be in production once the IXL series has been filled out? Does anyone have an opinion about this? PS: Can't wait to see what the IXL 15 is like!

Somehow I've ended up with an 07' RE XXX 12" sub.....lol....Couldn't pass the deal up, so I snagged it. Was just wondering...I've got 2 Sundown Audio 3000D's..If I wire this thing to 4 ohms, let each amp see 2 ohms...that would equal 3200 RMS going to the subwoofer. Can this thing handle that much power day to day? I may end up not running this woofer, I may just keep it for the future....but if I do, I want to know if it can take the power. I know RE claims 2000 RMS, but if I keep my gains true and do not go full tilt, will it be ok....or am I going to be breaking out the BBQ sauce pretty soon? Any one have experience with this woofer? I'd appreciate it, if you would g…

Would a RE SX 15" do well in a 2.0-2.5ft^3 Ported Enclosure tuned at like 33-35Hz, how would it sound, good or bad? RE recommends 3ft^3 as compact, but I've read on Tempro that a guy

I have seen several good comments about their amps. My question is, are their 6.5" comps as good as their amps?? Pricing looks VERY inviting. On both the comps and their 4 channel.

I already have one rl-i8 soundsplinter but i worried that I won't get enough out of it (not in car yet) so ive been lookin at porting it I can't go any bigger then 1 cube after port. it will get 400watts. I would just get one more and do two sealed but I can't afford another one. I have never built a ported box before, what size chamber and port do I use? can I just build one like this guy? this would fit in where I want it. at 400watts would this get plenty loud? want to hit at least 135db. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=246811 thanks all before hand

Ok now I need your guys unbiased opinion on which subs should I get. I will be getting a Sundown 3000D:). I have about 10-11 C.F to work with. Which combo will or has the potential to get louder? The BL's are less expensive but with the NS's I can always upgrade to another 3000D if I feel its not loud enough lol. Will the NS's be louder enough to compensate for the price difference? What do you guys think? This is what it will be going in below I will be taking the back seat out;) Thanks,

My friend needs a single 15 sub setup that will perform nicely off 750-1000 rms in 3 cube ported box. He is trying to spend 200$ or less on the subwoofer. Probably going to get slightly used or new, but most new are out of his range. Ive been thinking RE SX, FI Q, Fi SSd.. something along those lines. Would like your recommendations. Thanks

I just installed a set of image dynamics x69. I am running them full range right now with the high pass set at 60hz. The 3sixty.2 hasn't even been tuned yet. I am not even bridging the sax 50.4 yet. For some reason I am getting a scratching noise on some of the mid-high frequencies (ex:someone singing a higher octave). I was not playing these loud at all. In fact we were just testing them to make sure sound came out. Is this because the speaker was not meant to play higher frequencies? When I integrate my horn tweeters should I be fine or is there a possibility that something is wrong with either the install or the product itself? Any input would be great. Thanks!

What do you look for in an SQ sub? What t/s parameters and such makes a geat SQ sub. Now I know that SQ is subjective, but most companies make an SQ geared sub. As a buyer, what should we look for in this type of sub?

so i was searchin around on another forum i go to and i found where dayton just released a new driver. it is their reference series. well recently i had planned on buying a RL-p but i realized i couldnt afford it. so then i decided on an RL-i 10, but now for about $50 less i can get one of these daytona drivers. here is the link: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=295-464 i was just curious if i would be happy with one of these. i plan on gettin 1 10" whether i go with the dayton or the Rl-i and i will be giving it 400 watts. i mainly want SQ, i want to hit every note, hit it hard, and hit low, loudness isnt much of a factor. i would be perfectly happy w…

  21. by using the re audio box calculator and attempting to account for the displacement of the sub listed on the ssa site ive come up with these specs i would like thoughts please and thank you im going for a mix of rap country and rock on probably 400 rms i figure once i get my components my midbasses would be mainly responsible for the kick is that correct where as if that is the case i would like for the sub to go low and hit the deep bass my available area is w38in h 15.5 in d 18.5 in the re box calculator says 36.5x12x13.5 with .75 for mdf would give 2.249 ft3^ that is with the ssa listed sub displacement of .14 included it also shows port height 10.5 width 1.5 length 1 …

I convinced myself to go ahead and put a couple subs in my truck. I don't want to have to raise my seat or anything, so I'm going with a enclosure from Fox acoustics designed for my truck. But I still have a couple of questions... I know I will not be able to get ground shaking bass out of two tens or twelves, so I'm going for a sq setup. as for power I don't have an amp yet but I don't want to go overboard with power. 1. should I go with two vented 10's or two sealed 12's? 2 what's a good shallow mount dub to go with for under $300

Found a helluva deal on ScanSpeak D2904/6000-01. Check out their prices at Madisound then go to www.pacparts.com. Click on Consumer Electronics and do a parts search for Alpine Model Number SPXF17T. It will pull up a page with all the parts associated with the sets and you will see the part number D2904/600001. It is the raw tweeter of the set sourced from ScanSpeak and guess which model they picked? It is the same exact specs wise. Just says lowly alpine on it......and they say there isn't a price for the label. I just ordered a set to go with the Lotus Ref's and I should see them in a week and a half. They don't stock them, they source them right from Alpine, t…

Hey all, I was thinking about getting 2 RL-i8's for my 99 4door Tahoe, would this be enough to get decent bass? I know I have a lot of room for subs but I don't want to take up too much space (I have 2 kids). I have not heard these subs before, but from the vedio that was put out from the hellboy box amazed me. I know I wont get thoes numbers they put up but I still want some decent sound and loudness. Thanks for any input.

you guys may disagree with the drivers i chose, but this is what im going with. im selling the boston pro60s, and my jbl 6x9s in the rear, so ill only be adding maybe 70 bux to switch out to this setup, which is now going to be active as well. Front Stage: 2x B&C 6PEV13's Rear Stage: 2x Selenium 6W4P's (OR 2x Selenium 8PW3-SLF's) not sure yet, if the 8s will fit, i might run those. if not, ill do the 6.5s amp for the front and rear Mids: RF Punch P550.2 (ch1 will be the front and rear Left mids, and channel 2 will be front and rear right mids) same with the tweets, except a RF Punch P200.2 amps are like 240 shipped on ebay new for both, not bad. i need tweets though.…
