It was a local audio shop's competition that I heard about and entered at the last minute (I got metered at their last one with my previous setup: 2 RF HX2 subs on a 1001D Fosgate amp and I got a 146.0) This time around..... 159.9 outlaw on SPL170 mic (I think this is the right mic) Second overall, first in class Running one 15" D2 on a Hifonics 1500D in 3.2ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure I was satisfied with my score and I think I suprised (and scared) some people

I am looking to run double midbasses along with a midrange and tweeter in each door. They are Hertz HSK 165 components, HL 70 mids, and these crossovers: http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/Doc/pdf_3W20.pdf All of the speakers are 4 ohm versions. (Picture of this type of setup is also on the link) Could you tell me what they would be running at? I figured it was they would be running at 4 ohm per side when wired up, but got confused when looking at a bunch of different charts. It's looking like I may be picking up an Eclipse SW9182Pro...18"...need to decide on an enclosure for it. I'm limited to 1.4kW, so I'm thinking of using a larger box to lower the Qtc and increase efficiency - space is not a concern. Porting it is another idea, but it would have to be to an extremely low frequency - I'd like to use this enclosure over when I move it inside, I'm buying this with the intention of using it at home someday. I'm thinking even 27Hz would be too high of a tuning frequency for music/HT. Any ideas?

I am currently getting all the peices together on my new setup. I will be running 3 12" Memphis pr's in a ported box. I believe the box is tuned in the low 30's. Stock alternator, and a ed Nine.1, giving each around 400 watts a peice. it's going into an extended cab truck.... anyone have a guess at around how loud this setup is going to be? i'm just curious at what you guys think.

I have a 09 Silverado and I'm thinking about getting something like a console custom built so I can mount my iPad in it. I always have my iPad connected to my radio and I think it will look much cleaner mounted.. but anyway I want to have a set of components installed I'm the console also. how do you guys think it would should and will it be a waste of money to do so? these are the component sets that's I'm most interested in alpine type r sundown sa series comps incriminator audio comps

Ok now I need your guys unbiased opinion on which subs should I get. I will be getting a Sundown 3000D:). I have about 10-11 C.F to work with. Which combo will or has the potential to get louder? The BL's are less expensive but with the NS's I can always upgrade to another 3000D if I feel its not loud enough lol. Will the NS's be louder enough to compensate for the price difference? OK. So I've recently come into a little bit of money (retroactive pay from finally getting a contract). So I booked a trip to Disney world for the FAM and still have a little kicking around so... you guys may disagree with the drivers i chose, but this is what im going with. im selling the boston pro60s, and my jbl 6x9s in the rear, so ill only be adding maybe 70 bux to switch out to this setup, which is now going to be active as well. Front Stage: 2x B&C 6PEV13's Rear Stage: 2x Selenium 6W4P's (OR 2x Selenium 8PW3-SLF's) not sure yet, if the 8s will fit, i might run those. if not, ill do the 6.5s amp for the front and rear Mids: RF Punch P550.2 (ch1 will be the front and rear Left mids, and channel 2 will be front and rear right mids) same with the tweets, except a RF Punch P200.2 amps are like 240 shipped on ebay new for both, not bad. i need tweets though.…

both dual 2ohm running at 1ohm. My question, which would be better for numbers. The 9512 in a 2.75cuft box tuned to 37hertz or a 9515 in a 3cuft tuned to 37hertz. My amp is a sundown 2000d. As of right now, my suv peaks at 50hertz with now deadening.

as my sig says...i did run two 15" treo ss's off a single memphis 1000d in a dodge ram..... now i don't have the dodge..the memphis is sold and my treo's are sitting in the garage.... here is what i am wanting to do....two 15's, either 3000wrms or 4800wrms to the subs (depends on what amps i decide to go with), iggy altenator, 3 svr batts(one under hood, two for the sub amps) a 6.5 componet set and around 150 wrms for them.... now here is the reason for the post....... i am considering 2 15" memphis mojo max's...2 memphis 1500d's or mojo's...memphis sq componets and a memphis pr series amp for them(maybe a 4 channel so i can run a pair of m series 8's for mid bass..dunno)…

its some what shy of 4 ft. the box is currently tuned at 40hz, which i can lower if need be. I am looking for the loudest subwoofers. I am not too worried about SPL but i dont want it to sound like pure shit. I was thinking about l7s, but thought id ask to get others advice. thanks! btw, i need two and would like to stay under 500 but i can change my price a little higher......... edit, just realized i typed SPL when i meant SQ. its time for me to get sleep. lol

Can i wire two 4 ohm dvc to 1 ohm or two ohms i have a monoblock class d amp us amps xt2000d

I dont know how comparable these drivers are but if you had the choice what would you pick and why. What is the SQ like, how loud, how low all of those good things. It would be on 1000RMS.

well my subwoofer fund for a 15 went up to the 300-350 range cuz i dont wana be dissapointed, and i was wanting to know which would sound better and still have mad bass between the aq hdc3 and the fi bl ran off a hifonics 1600d? in a box at 4cubes and hopefully 32hz if not 30hz. and input will be greatly appreciated thnx in advance ~Bill

I have 2 12 inch pioneer champion pro's. The amp I am running is an hifonics zeus 3000 watt running at 4 ohms. When the subs are played there is a knocking sound coming from in the box. I dont think the speaker is blown though because when I put pressure on the back of the box, the knocking sound goes away. Any ideas?

In the market for some new subwoofers. So far i have stuck with name brand only. I now have 2 mtx 7500s in an mtx spec ported box, 1 1501d sub amp, 2 mtx 6152 2 channels, and a kinetik cap killer. I just discovered the ssa subs today and I am interested but just looking for some advice. Obviously want something louder but want to keep the current amp that i have. Thanks

I am getting either two 12" fi q's or two 12" fi bl's and i was wondering if the rockford fosgate t.1500 amp is enough to power them and if the bl's are a big difference over the q's and how loud they are. I care about sound quality but if the q's are a lot quiter i would rather just go louder and get the bl's

I am buying 2 ssa icon 12" subs... I have a mmats 2000d which puts out 2000 rms at 1 ohm which subs should i buy? the d2? or the d1s? and how should they be wired.. any help would be appriciated?

ok so i got my sub running and i love it but there is many settings on the orion 1200d amp what do i set my crossovers at? my box is sealed at 2.65
