Hey just want some guidance and suggestions. I have type-r's which I'm really starting to get sick of. The 6.5 is in stock location and tweeter is flush mounted in the door. All I really want to do is replace it, and not change the locations. I want component set with a passive crossover which has good sound quality. My price range is around $400. But give me some suggestions in the 300-200 price range as well. I know anything will sound better then these Alpines. I need the new tweeter to fit into the hole which is there for the type-r tweeter. So, iv finally got my subwoofer enclosure finished, and set up in my trunk. After listening to it for a while it was surprisingly accurate, id say even more accurate than my Type X's which are actually supposed to be SQ drivers. Overall super impressed, and obviously it gets nice and loud.

Hello all fellow bass heads Like the title says I need help, getting my recones for my subs but I failed to order the glue, (I ass umed it came with the KIT) but was wrong. is there any thing I can use for recones in place of the ca glue that works as well, I have a show in 2 weeks and im afraid I wont be ready in time (break in the subs) Thanks

Alright, I have narrowed down my decision to three choices and I need help deciding which one to go with. The three possible choices i have come up with are, 2x 12" DC Level 3s 1x 15" DC Level 4 or 1x Fi Bl I will be using a Audioque 1200d for my amp with a stock alt and a extra battery in back. The boxes will all be tuned in between 32-34 hz built to specs given by the manufactures. I have heard great things about all these subs and I am stuck on which to choose. I am mainly looking for a loud but still clean sounding set up to play mainly rap/hip-hop music. I would like to hear any reasons you may have for which set up to choose. Thanks.

Just curious at what your set up is (box type, size, brand, and amps, etc). and most importantly, how does it sound?

Hey guys im kinda new to the audio world and i am disappointed in the system i got now (two 12's 600rms each) so im looking for somthing a little bigger, I got two Kenwood KAC-9105D amps, i was wondering if i could strap them together for the 1800 rms roughly and get the 15" SSA XCON D2 (1750rms) if the wiring capabilities were there and if not anyother options that would hit n use the amps well -Thanks

alright in a ported box, where does the bass sound come out of? entirely the port.. or the port and the sub.. or what. im wondering cus im going to port my box into my rear deck and i need to know whether or not i need to seal the sub off into my car also. thanks.

ok I have finally decided what my substage will consist of and I am looking for suggestions on if it is good or not, the setup will consist of 2 10" or 12" Diamond D6 dual 4 subs and a sundown sae1000 amp, each D6 will be seein about 500rms each, tell me what you think

I haven't had a sub in over a year now, and I miss that portion of my music. I'm very picky when it comes to my subs. I've just stumbled upon the xcon, and i've just about had my mind made up on the AE AV12x or h. I've heard nothing but good things about the AV's, but I came across the xcon. What topology is the driver (ie underhung, overhung, etc..) the magnet reminds me of my old Audiomobile MASS 2012, which i absolutely loved, and regret getting rid of it. The MASS was damn near dead on perfect. I've always leaned more towards SQ, rather than SPL, but I do like to crank it up at times. So I know that the output of any system is going to be install dependent. However, because I don't have the opportunity to hear any of these subs in person, I was hoping that maybe someone could tell me (read guess) which setup would be the loudest, in general. I am considering running one of the following setups in the trunk of my Sonata. I was comin home today and why Mag stopped hittin so I was like WTF. I went and took it out of my box and the Cone came detached from the Spider. So I guess I should contact SI now or does any1 else have any suggestions. Does SI have a phone number I can call? How much do you think it will cost to fix? I am planning on ordering 4 sundown sa-8 v2 subs for my Silverado crew cab. I am gonna build a box for them that will be 2.2 net cubes, maybe a little more, and with at least 32 square inches of port area. I am wandering if since I am going to be using a crescendo bc2000, should I get 4 dual 4 subs and wire them to .5 ohms or 4 dual 2 and wire them to 1 ohm? I have done the big 3 in 1/0, have a stinger spp1500d, and have all wiring in 1/0. I will also be buying a new alt here soon.

So, ive known abt digital designs subs for a long time but have always thought that its all SPL and no SQ. A friend of mine recently got thier 3512 12" sub and told me that not only does it pound, but the SQ is nothing to be laughed at. He's a good friend of mine so I trust his opinion, but he lives in another state so I cant hear it for myself. Now for the match up... -in one corner, the digital designs 3512 ported with 1200 watts -in the other corner a mag 12" ported with 1200 watts now I assume that the DD sub would beat the mag in SPL (tell me if im wrong) but how much would the DD sub be lacking in SQ versus the mag any help, thoughts, comments, or opinions would be…

i am gonna build a box sealed and i have just purchased a used 15" mag off a guy for a good price. i want the volume to be 2.5 cubes and have figured out the size i want to accomidate it in my chrysler 300 trunk. the measuremants will be L 24" H 18" and W 10" which comes to exactly 2.5 cubes and i want to know is the width of 10" enough since it requires a mounting depth of 8 1/8"?

can anyone find the t/s parameters for these. I've looked everywhere and can't find anything. Thanks!
