Does anyone know if boston acoustic pro 60's are too deep to fit in kick panels in a large suv? What do you think about kick panels verses stock door speakers.

I have a pair of Infinity Kappa 60.9 components. The left tweeter fried after a week. I cannot figure out why. I was feeding them around 80 watts and they seemed to shine. Anyway I am looking to replace the tweeters with something better. I need something large to fill the huge 2 3/8 inch mounting hole from the infinitys. and it needs to be 4 ohm. I am going to cross it over at 3.5khz. Please help me find something. My budget is tight. I cannot go over 25 bucks a pop. I found these and they seem to fit the bill. Anybody have anything to say about peerless? http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8500 Also keep in mind. I am in college, which is worse tha…

Someone at a norwegian forum actually said the 307 and 326 comps looked like a Morel Midbass and cheap peerless tweets. I female dogslapped him lightly. Anyone care to slap him some more? Damn what Ignorance! Why import Peerless from Denmark and resell it from the US? Peerless is ok, by all means, but nowhere like the 307 or 327`s I gather. Still pissed of at the damn thieves! Those fcukers ought to taste my semi-automatic shotgun loaded with buckshots! ARGH!

Guys, I have a really dumb question that I'm a little embarrassed to ask. I'm in the planning phase of doing a sealed fiberglass sub enclosure for a friend. My personal sub setup is infinite baffle. I did one sealed enclosure like 5 years ago and have since forgotten the answer to this question. When the sub manufacturer gives you the cubic footage for a sealed enclosure (in this case, .75 cu ft), does this INCLUDE or EXCLUDE the displacement of the sub itself? In other words, do I need to add to the .75 to allow for the space taken up by the magnet/etc, or do I simply make a box that has .75 cu ft of air space? If the answer is that I have to add the displacement of …

I see a lot of people that's wanting to sell a pair of sundown x 10's. The thing is idk if I have enough mounting depth for them to fit in a wedge type enclosure for my truck. I know I have enough air space for them, but mounting depth is what kicking me in the a$$. How do you guys think they would work in a wedge style enclosure? Here are the dimensions of the area I have to play with... Front height-10.5" Rear height-8" Depth-17.5" Width-55"

Hi, im new. LoL hooray for introductions. Anyhow, I currently have the following: 1 12" JL 12w3v2-d4 1 12" Alpine Swr-1242D 1 Kenwood KAC-7202 At this time, I love having both subs but can only hook one up at a time. I drive a GrandAm, and its a pain in the ass to try to fix any boxes between the wheel-wells. Ive only had success with one box so far, and that was the ThunderTC enclosure I had for my 5500's before I sold them. I have two seperate sealed boxes for each, and want to try to place them in both corners of my trunk, but wire them to the sub to provide the most bass possible. Either one works great in parallel, but when I do that and bridge it, the amp runs VERY …

I'm just curious is all. Looking at these for my application they don't look back spec wise. $ wise is really good for me. I'm broke as a joke right now. Sealed box like .8ft^3 ish depending on where I buy the box. Could be .5 could be .65 could be .85. So this 10" wants .75 so im in the ballpark. I've just never heard of these. Tried the search and 0 results found. Gotta be an error. Are these as bad as the price reflects?

  12. Does anyone know of a thiele-small parameter database or where I could go to get this info for a slightly older sub? In this case I have an original RE Audio SE 12 d2 that I am trying to build a box for but I cant find the needed info. I called the company and the lady said they don't have the info since they were discontinued. P.S. there have been two versions released since the one I have. Any help would be great.

Well, they are shipping and I do have mine. It sounds great, the output is less than I am used to, but still more than I need. Listening to songs the biggest difference I notice is how pointed and short some of the notes actually are compared to how long they seemed on my BMs. They sound much closer to my B&Ws in my room, just pin pricks of sound where it should be with no hangover. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a true SQ sub. Now the caveats: If you are looking for a loud sub that can take more than 1000 watts this is not the sub for you. This is designed specifically for a 1 cubic foot sealed box, that is it. They are also designed to only take 1000 w…

To start off with, I have a 2000 Silverado ext.cab with RF 400.4 on mids/highs. Diamond Audio m361 components in the front doors and m341 components in the ream so I have quality mids/highs to hang with the subs I choose. I want to go with 2 12" subs in a 1.15cub ft box per sub(sealed). I will be running a RF BD1500.1 on the subs, at 13.8volts it puts out 1,627watts @ 2ohms. I was dead set on the IA Lethal Injection's, but I wanted to know what was everyone's impression of the FI Q. How does it compare to the LI in the air space I have and what are the pros and cons of each? I know the LI's come fully loaded, but you have to pay for the extras in the FI Q. I want s…

Ok so I *finally* got my Bravox order. The part shipped via UPS got here quick. The USPS part... not so much. I was getting worried cause they were 4 days past due but they showed up today. Besides, I'm not in a big hurry so no worries. Now for the really important part. I see the midrange and the tweeter are pre-mounted in their respective housings with the really nice aluminum trim rings, etc. But.... how do these babies come apart? Do they come apart? They have to come apart otherwise I am screwed. The plan is to mount the tweeters in the factory locations in the mirror trim pods and the midranges next to the midbass drivers in the door. This will NOT work if I can'…

Also what are some good midrange speakers. ranging from $100 - 250 for a pair. Would be in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not completely sure of install yet.

  20. Started by Dollar,

I have an old JL enclosure that had 2 10" w3s. These are the first w3s from the late 90's early 2000 that only handled 250 watts per sub. Those subs required about .60-.90 cubic feet (litres) The enclosure was a prowedge. These are the dimensions: 32.25 x 14.5 x 12.75. The enclosure is sealed with a divider in between the subs. I wanted to use the enclosure and put some other subs instead of JL. So given the dimensions of the enclosure, can anyone recommend which SSA subs would be perfect for that enclosure? Or even any other subs out there? As far as cost and power, Im willing to work with what ever. Thanks

im looking to change my setup. if i go the bl route, my box cuft will be 5-5.4cuft total including port area. if i go btl route, the box will be about the same total. they will be powered by a zx2500 which in the birth certificate says 2700 (if that matters) now i want to know which will be louder. this will be for daily use in my dodge charger. i currently have 2-15" L7's sealed in a 4.2cuft box and it pounds, but i just want to change it up. plus, i have a feeling that i can get louder than it if i go the FI route. thanx im also open to other suggestions.
