Ok, so I'm about to have some graduation money and I'm thinking about starting my new setup. I would like to go with a single 10" this time though, and go ported still I believe. I think the amp of choice will be an orion 1200D. So let's say I have a max of $350 to spend on this sub. My box right now is 2cubes net, I'm not sure how much more space I could get, I could go longer but I would have to go down in how tall the box can be. so just keep all those factors in please.

Alright guys need some help i have 2 sets of subs i have 2 12 inch MTX 9500s and Two 12 inch FI BTLs i was wondering which set i should put in my car with the two SAZ 3000ds. Im wants SPL and SQ but preping for competition just wanting to see opinions thanks!

1999 mercedes benz kompressor c230 I plans are to stay full IA apart from components/coaxials via CDT. But I don't consider this a car really "usable" for spl so i'm at a loss as to what I should go for now, original plans were 6 10" 187 in a s10 extended cab on a new 20.1 but... didn't go that route and this is what I ended up with for 3000 dollars. Hey, it's a benz I still would like to do the 20.1 down the road but i'm at a total loss as to what subs to try now as room/trunk would be an issue, never had a trunk car so i'm unsure how those setups work exactly. Whats up guys. Ive been trying to build a box for my (yet to arrive) 18" Ascendant Audio Chaos but it isn't really turning out how i would like it. You guys must have some tricks/ideas that i just dont know about yet (ive only built L-Ported boxes)! I'm trying to get this box as big as possible with the small dimensions i have to work with. I dont know about the tuning frequency, i've been happy with 33hz in previous setups, but i dont know, what do you recommend? I listen to rap music. Is a true 1500 watts too much for a single Fi Q 18" to handle with the BP option? I was trying to decide between going this route, or going with a dual 15" setup with a 2500watt amp...I'm leaning towards the 18 since it'll be cheaper and more electrically friendly. (vehicle is a dodge magnum)

First post here so excuse me if this is a dumb question. I have an RE SEX 12 in a sealed downfiring box with a Hifonics series 7 Zeus bridged at 4 ohms. The setup sounds great and hits all notes effortlessly. This sub started popping after a day or two at high levels though so i adjusted the gains way down. Will a sub with a higher power handling capacity help this or am i doing something wrong?

ok, so yesterday, i took out my cheapo 3.5" dash speakers and taped off the ends of the wires with electrical tape. now, my right door speaker is very quiet, pretty much not even working, and when i turn up my stereo, the music cuts out in my front speakers. is this a short? i assume it is but just checking i guess.

i listen to mostly rock/metal and need a budget comp set with good midbass.. doors will be deadened with raamaat and have an mdf baffle.. budget is around $150. any suggestion?

at the show i saturday i only did a 149.6 and thats on a term lab mic. i currently have the 2 in a 5. cube box after port displacement and before sub. my port is 5 by 14. im looking for a good all around loud box but i want it to sound decent. if anybody has any experience please post what worked best for you or any recommendations. thanks in advance.

i need to ship a sub to get it reconed and need some tips on pakaging...i am going to wrap the sub with a bag and spandy foam around it but need tips on what size box i would need the sub is 9" from tip of motor to rim

I convinced myself to go ahead and put a couple subs in my truck. I don't want to have to raise my seat or anything, so I'm going with a enclosure from Fox acoustics designed for my truck. But I still have a couple of questions... I know I will not be able to get ground shaking bass out of two tens or twelves, so I'm going for a sq setup. as for power I don't have an amp yet but I don't want to go overboard with power. 1. should I go with two vented 10's or two sealed 12's? 2 what's a good shallow mount dub to go with for under $300

A friend of mine is doing a budget system and wants some good coaxle's. He just wants a pair of 3 way 6x9s for the rear and 5 1/4s for his front doors. What kind of watts does this thing need to be PERFECT, i mean reguarless of price i want a perfect sounding Mag D2. I have no idea on wattage, and im probaly going with a HIFONICS amp. So let me know how many wats and at what ohms im going to need if i orded 1 and if i even orded 2 15" mag d2??? THANKS!!!

after doing a "uninstall" i ended up scuffing the surround on the subs. one is pretty bad (atleast i think). what can i do to fix this? just silicon it? it did not punture the sub its just looks bad.

Im getting ready to buy my first subs, I cant decide on either a 15' or 18' fi bl (price doesnt matter) i want a sub that people can hear from a mile away lol...anyways which would hit harder for my needs?

does anyone on this forum have any experience with orion hcca's? buying some very shortly and i want some testimony as to how they perform and if they experience any common problems. i watched their head to head comp on youtube but that doesnt tell me much. any feedback is greatly appreciated. they are for daily street beating and are gonna be powered by a zx2500.1 and in a 6 cub ft. box @ 35hz.

i have 99 f350 reg cab long box and would love to build a system but dont want to loose comfortablity i would like to put some shallow subs in a box behind the seat 3-4 shallows dont know what brand and or will it sound loud and nice any help will be apreciated
