And don`t forget the 12" version of the 15" Stereo Integrity magnums I have in the Escort. The box is 2.5 Cu.Ft. before sub & port displacement and is tuned to 28Hz. I`ve still got to neaten a few things up. But the whole lot is not fitted permanently, everything is wedged in place as this stuff only gets fitted before it attends sounds offs etc - it takes literally minutes to fit or remove everything. Im fixing to start a box for a 12 for some guy over in jacksonville and between all of my scrap wood and the scrap wood from his enclosure i should be able to pull off a 2.4cuft @34Hz enclosure for the assasins with a F3 at ~28Hz. I've decided to finally install my RE 6.5's after having them for about a year. I have been waiting to take some time off of work, but I haven't since last June so I took two whole weeks off . I tried two different methods for laying the molds. I first tried using painters tape to tape off the whole area for the drivers kick, when removing the mold taking off the tape seemed to be a pain and took forever to get off, not to mention the fact that all the tack on the tape came off on my hands and is still there 4 hours later. I`m a newbie here at this forum so be paitent with me...I need to know what size port to use on a 12 mag tuned to 32 hz? how do i convert square inches into w x h x l for the port i will be using a slot port Nick said that i would need a least 24 square inches...correct me if i`m wrong but would`nt 24 sq inches be like 12" x12" or 12^2?

Well I have a SI 12" sub thats been in my room all winter waiting to be installed. Well then early spring I decided to change almost my entire system. I now have a Arc Audio 2500XXK to run my sub. This is one sick powerful amp at 1 Ohm which I plan to run that way for 1050+ watts. Anyway, I entertained the idea of putting 2 12" subs in my car, but then realized due to space problems in my trunk, that would not be a good idea. So now I am wondering with that amp, should I go with a single 15" instead? I assume the box would be a little bigger, then the box for the 12" but not nearly as big as what two 12" would take up!

hey, i got a pair of MTX coaxials, they were $30 brand new so you can't beat that. i wanted to get components but i was low on cash and this was a pretty good deal. i am pretty happy with them other than the stupid tweeters. they are way too harsh and too loud for my liking. how can i fix this? i've messed with the 7 band EQ on my head unit and still can't get em down. are there low pass filters or sumthin to filter out the higher tones? like the opposite of a bass blocker or sumthin....?

I was wondering if you guys could educate me on the topic of horns in the car audio environment. I am looking into incorporating them into my truck (S-10) when I start working on the front stage, most likely with some Dayton Reference or AA 6.5's in kicks. What I would like to know is the basics on horn install in a car, what to look for, if you can go passive, or active is a must, the basics of an active install, what kind of equipment is the best, stuff like that. me and my cuz made 2 boxes...1 is ported and its ABOUT 3 cubic ft^3 tuned to 32 Hz...i say "about" cause minus the wood thickness, port displacement, and the subs volume its around 3. i dont have the exact measurements of the port right now the other one was sealed at 1.6 ft^3 my problem with it is its LOUD when you sit in the car but not when you're outside with both of these boxes. i didn't try it in my car yet cause i dont got wires hooked up yet but i tried it in my cousins 1995 ford taurus and we weren't happy about it and he didn't know why it wouldnt hit hard. he has a old garbage pioneer HU in his car but it should of still hit harder than it did. i mean when i he…

I am considering a different amp combination. Would a DLS A7 with 600 watts in 1 ohm, be enough to run a Gen 2 SI 12"? I only have 1 sub, but am considering running 2 A7's and get a second 12" sub. So how would 1 sub with 1000 watts compare to 2 subs with 600 watts each?

So - I have been askin about 6x9's because I thought I blew mine up - however - come to find out , one of the channels on the stereo actually went - somehow the rear left channel is messed up - I switched to my other deck , and everything sounds beautiful again ... thanks for your opinions everyone , greatly appreciated. Ok - I just blew my Memphis M-class 6x9's rated at 75 watt RMS - I have warranty - and I'll get new ones - but Im gonna sell them now - My questions is - what would be a good replacement for them - I am all about good mid SQ - I want a very nice sound quality and handle my amp too - 100 rms x 4 " Memphis " I was looking at the Eclipse SA8394 3ways , and the JL VR690CXi . whay type of mounting should I use to invert my Mag??? I am either going to just build a new box with the magnet facing the rear of the car or, going to build a box in the tire well with the magnet facing up toward the trunk lid. but my concern is how to mount it.
