Looking to get good sounding 6x8's for my 2004 mountaineer like to spend around $150 a pair.... I have a SAZ1500 and an RE audio MX15 factory 6x8's is not cutting it... Ideas please

i was just wanting some other peoples opinions on the subs i have. i have 2 memphis mojo 10s. a couple people i talked to, said that they arent that great. just wanting to see what other people thought

So, ive known abt digital designs subs for a long time but have always thought that its all SPL and no SQ. A friend of mine recently got thier 3512 12" sub and told me that not only does it pound, but the SQ is nothing to be laughed at. He's a good friend of mine so I trust his opinion, but he lives in another state so I cant hear it for myself. Now for the match up... -in one corner, the digital designs 3512 ported with 1200 watts -in the other corner a mag 12" ported with 1200 watts now I assume that the DD sub would beat the mag in SPL (tell me if im wrong) but how much would the DD sub be lacking in SQ versus the mag any help, thoughts, comments, or opinions would be…

will going from a 15" JBL GTO 300w rms sub in a sealed box to a 12" icon in a ported box be louder for spl

What would be the ideal place to put my sub in my van? Right behind my seat facing the back doors or turned around facing me i think i'm going to have the box sealed im not sure yet.

I currently have a 1974 dodge charger. it only has one speaker in the front. And some crapily installed rear 6x9's I'll be fixing later. But for now. I'm doing an install of a center console I've built with an aftermarket head unit. Not wanting to cut anything up. I'm going to stick with the one front speaker for right now. Then build something to house 2 smaller speakers displaying the sound out the hole for the one that was there before. But for now. I"m sticking with the one. first off, thx to all who helped me. i believe ive reached a decision..for now. i have a 02 ram single cab and dont wanna sacrifice sq. therefore, i will remove my center seat in order to create more clearance and air flow to acommodate a Crystal CMPx2 12. my front stage will consist of Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS comps powered by a Zed Audio Gladius Burr Brown amp. Questions: 1)does ne1 think that a 12 is too much for my application? cause my friend insists it is and 2 8's r best for sq but i dunno bout that. 2)has ne1 used ne of these products? 3)What do ya think of this combo? thx in advance

ive been lurking on smd for a while now and got some DD's about 2 months ago, im happy but they have been a pain in the ass, squishy dust caps, weird sounds on highs and just over all unpleasantness of them, so ive turned my eyes to some new pretty ssd12's i want to keep my m3b seeing i paid a SH** ton for it, would 2 12''ssds be ok on that power(about 1200 each) havent yet clamped it to see but according to the birth sheet at one ohm thats what itd would be. my box dims are about 5.2 net so about 2.6 each at 34hz with a 5 in port 26 inches long. now final statement, would these bad boys handle all this?

alright, system consists of pioneer premier DEH-600UB, hifonics BXi1208D pushing 3 ppi PCX102's in 3.5 cubes at 35Hz (when I build the box, lol), no rear speakers I am going to get a small 2ch amp for the front speakers and disable the internal amp in the HU, but if I buy comps, the doors will not be deadened right away, and will probably only be some ~75 dollar comps like some alpine type s, phoenix gold, etc... and the amp will only be giving them anywhere from 60-100 watts per channel at 4 ohms. coax's would be mounted in doors as would the midbass and tweets would go on the door panels right by the dash. should I just get coax's and amp them right away? get comps an…

Hey guys! got a bit of a scenario I'm hoping you can help me with. In about august every year we have a local competition that we compete in and every year we've won our class. Typically every year i buy a new sub and try to beat our old score and so on and so on. Last year I used an 18" BL with D1 coils. I ran it off my JBL BP amp and things weren't to bad. Recently though i've acquired a Sundown and am very happy to be using it to its full potential. Problem #1, the BP puts out max power @ 2 ohms and the sundown puts it out @ 1 ohms and my BL is either a .5 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofer. (its not universal) This got me thinking though and this is where I am hoping to get some…

I need to decide on the speakers that will handle the top end of the audio spectrum. Here is what I have; my 18" Q with the BP option on a sundown 1500, the L8's from HAT will handle the mid, I have an older 4 chan v12 alpine, that should work, and if not... which will relaly piss me off... I'll need to get another 4chan, or 2, 2chan amps. I think the alpine gets about 45-65 per chan if I remember correctly, but I also seam to remember the rating was a good deal under actual benched amounts from when other people tested them. I have 2 Fi ssd 12's that gave up on me finally. I was wondering what would be the best way to get them reconed? I have a Memphit The Mojo MC200D Amp it is 2000X1 at 2 ohm rms. Would I want to get the dual 2ohm or the dual 1ohm to run to this amp?

Building a little setup for my dad, its going into a volkswagen jetta, already has an alpine mrd-500 in it, so im basing my sub decision around that power. He listens to oldies, classic rock, country...so i was thinking something along the lines of a pair of sundown e8's, sundown sa-10 etc....any other recommendations are welcome. Also thinking either a low tuned ported box, or 4th order bandpass. Hes missing a bit of hearing on the low end scale so this could make up for it.

Hi i just installed a hifonics bxi 2608 im running it at 2 ohm at 1700 watts. my box is tuned to 34 hz @3.5 cubes. my bl is over extending itslef so i turned down the gain. My question is what should i have the low pass filter set at right now i got it at around 75 i think thats too high. it kind of sounds messy. and if i turn it down could i put the gain a little higher?

Trunk is small. Box can't be any taller than 12" so I'm limited to the 10" icon. I love deep bass, but SPL is going to be my number one concern. Ride is a 2005 mustang and I'm going for a DD setup, so I don't want a one note wonder. I'd plan on doing the recommended 1.35 cubes tuned on the lower range of 27-33hz. I'm hoping this would be a loud setup. Hopefully louder than a ED 13av.2 sealed in 1 cube (my previous setup). Height and width of box are 12x33 leaving depth to be whatever it needs to be for the optimal box.
