Hi i just installed a hifonics bxi 2608 im running it at 2 ohm at 1700 watts. my box is tuned to 34 hz @3.5 cubes. my bl is over extending itslef so i turned down the gain. My question is what should i have the low pass filter set at right now i got it at around 75 i think thats too high. it kind of sounds messy. and if i turn it down could i put the gain a little higher?

Hey all. Question, I'm looking at some component sets and have come across both Pheonix Gold RSDs and Arc Audio 600.6 sets and really like both. RSDs are $40 cheaper, but what do you think of arc audio? Are they worth the extra $40? Thanks Arc Audios Pheonix Golds

Does anybody know the exact cutout for the Zcon 18"? I will be using a Jasper jig on my router. I know it says 16.75" but I thought I heard it was a bit smaller? They are not here yet and I need to cut my baffles. Thanks.

So, I had some extra 6.5s sitting in my garage and was hopin i could use those in my truck, turns out i would have to do some pretty major work to get them in there due to the way the door is built, so i think i will just go with some of the same size, some 6x8's....does anyone know any good 6x8s before i end up going with some RF power serier component 6x8s? thanks

I'm thinking about replicating the sub enclosure created by Jmelan over at DIY mobile audio for my 2002 4Runner. Does anyone foresee any difficulties or performance issues for the RL-i8 with this type of enclosure in a side-firing alignment? I wonder if a larger driver (Fi Q 10/12, ICON 10/12, RL-i10) wouldn't be in my best interests.

hey guys. Trying to find a new set-up here (sub set-up) and am looking around at my sub options! Currently I am running an 18" BL in a 5.5ish box @ 35Hz I think. It is pretty dang loud...but I am starting to go away from SPL based to subs that are able to reproduce the sounds a bit better. I have recently acquired a pair of Adire Koda 6.5 components and am hoping to blend things. The BL would pretty much destroy any midbass that would be output with them and I really wanna do a proper(ish..bear with me guys haha) set-up of an actual "sub" crossed over at 60Hz or so and then hear some real midbass. So i got a new clutch/flywheel put in my car. My mechanic put my old parts in my trunk which i forgot about. My sub doesn't have a grill and that box full of parts broke the 10" ssa dcon rubber surround and even the cone. I tried using silicone, but the sub sounds like crap! Can i get a new cone and rubber or should i start looking for a new 10"?

I just got a 2003 toyota celica gts and am set on getting a 12" SSA ICON D2. I am going for SQ and dont know whether to get a ported box or sealed. Also, I have heard that facing the sub up is a good idea in a celica because of the shape of the tailgate. Anyway, i need to know info on the box and what amp to get. I am currently getting all the peices together on my new setup. I will be running 3 12" Memphis pr's in a ported box. I believe the box is tuned in the low 30's. Stock alternator, and a ed Nine.1, giving each around 400 watts a peice. it's going into an extended cab truck.... anyone have a guess at around how loud this setup is going to be? i'm just curious at what you guys think.

Currently have pioneer 9900 headunit, sundown 100.4, morel supremo tweeters and sea excel w18ex. Want to cross the seas at 1200 and morels at 2200. So i want to get another speaker to fill in this range 1200 - 2200. What would be the easiest way to do this? What would i need, external processor? Will i need another 2 channel amp? Also what are some good midrange speakers. ranging from $100 - 250 for a pair. Would be in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Not completely sure of install yet.

Hey guys! got a bit of a scenario I'm hoping you can help me with. In about august every year we have a local competition that we compete in and every year we've won our class. Typically every year i buy a new sub and try to beat our old score and so on and so on. Last year I used an 18" BL with D1 coils. I ran it off my JBL BP amp and things weren't to bad. Recently though i've acquired a Sundown and am very happy to be using it to its full potential. Problem #1, the BP puts out max power @ 2 ohms and the sundown puts it out @ 1 ohms and my BL is either a .5 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofer. (its not universal) This got me thinking though and this is where I am hoping to get some…

I want to upgrade my midbass and highs. I am not sure what to look for with this. I just want something more clear than what i have now. I plan on getting a 100.4 or 50.4 or 125.2. One of those sundown amp. I was looking at the infiniti kappas, I know someone around here that might sell me some really cheap, I guess i just need some input on what to look for when buying a set.

I currently have 2 Sundown E-12s in the Trunk (Dual 4ohm) wired down to 1ohm on the amplifier. (1700rms at 1ohm) I am going to pick up my old Kicker CVR10s (Dual 2ohm) and put them in my backseats... Is there ANY way I can hook up the 2 10s to the amplifier for added bass? It would only be for a day or so, but just for fun. I just want to know how I should wire the 2 10s to get the most out of my amp. Thank you!

Sup fellas, i think i might have a big problem, was inspecting my subs (2 fi btls 18"s) and noticed tiny tears on one subs spider, 3 of them 2-3 millimeters ea. when playing the subs hit hard, who knows how long they've been there, but i know i dont want them there, could i use some epoxy or super glue as a temporary fix, i know that they might need reconing (bought them the end of 08) but they both still bang hard plus they the old ufo model so i dont know if they even make recones for those any more. cant get new subs till after christmas so i need help.

Hello folks. I wanted to get some opinions on 8inch midbass drivers. I'm changing up the front end in my Dodge Durango. I will be running 4 Diamond Audio M6 4inch midranges and a pair of M&K softdome tweets. They will be actively passed at 250 up at 12db per/octave. One set of mids and the tweets will reside in custom pods on the front corners of the dash(tucked in between the dashboard, A-pillar, and windshield so they can be on-axis and facing the passengers) and the second set will reside in pods on the upper front corners of the front door panels. Am deciding between the IA DR or DP. Am just wanting to know which would be most suited with the power. Am using either for a daily driver that sounds good but can get loud. Thanks
