  1. Now days the new Fi Q's are rated for 1500 RMS stock, 1700-1900 RMS with cooling while the AA Havoc is rated for 1250. In searching older reviews and comparisons I have read that for the most part the Havoc plays better down low but I don't know if it will handle the 1800-1900 watts RMS daily the Crescendo BC3500D will be giving it. I would like for the enclosure to be 5.0 net cubes tuned to a medium of 31 Hz either way and I prefer lower end deep and ground-pounding bass in the 28-36hz range more than anything. I want to flex my car to bitts and pieces and "feel" the music more than merely hear it. I want to violently shake everything and make it feel as though my car is…

I'm just wondering what you guys do to have you're front stage keep up with your bass, cause I have Infinity 6x8 componets and the midrange is just not there when I got my bass on full tilt. So does everyone just get a custom door panel made and put a bunch of speakers in there or is there some speakers that can handle a lot of wattage or what? Maybe infinity perfects would be better I don't know I just want some really loud treble and midrange to keep up with 2 15's right behind me head

I was originally going to get the Sundown SA series but I saw the AQ's and was wondering if they sound good and get loud? Plz be detailed because I haven't heard ether in a setup. I know the sa's meter well for there price point, but I want 2 18's or 3 15's if sundown gets some d4's. They will be powered by a aq2200d.

What would you rather do? 6 cheapish 12's in a sealed box or 1 awesome 18 in a decently big ported box? Both would be on the same power (2500 rms) But 6 12's has alot more cone area but a sealed box. 18 has less cone area but a ported box 18 would be a bit cheaper and better quality. But 6 12's have more cone area lol. So what do you guys think? If you have any other suggestions, I have up to 8 cubic feet before displacements. Have 2500 rms. Thinking bout running the Zcon or something similar for the 18. The 12's would be infinitys

have you ever thought about offering the mj's in diffrent sizes. its an incredibly priced 18 but not everyone has room for and 18. i think they would be great budget subs. they have decent power handling and xmax so it would be a great alternative to the over-hyped type r.

I managed to get my hands on 4 old school Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z's yesterday in about a 4ft^3 sealed box for 30$ and a pre-fab sealed box for 2 15's... Just for kicks and giggles, I put this setup in the trunk of my Grand Am hooked to a 1000w memphis amp. Drove up the street playing "I'm Raw" by Lil Wayne, turned the bass knob up, and just about S*** myself. I was absolutely blown away by the performance of these things! They don't look like they could blow the dust off of the dustcap.. but looks obviously aren't everything. For 30$, I'd say I've found myself a great temporary daily setup until I order my Z15. I'll record a video saturday while I'm off work to show …

  14. Which one would be the better choice??? I can get the jbl for 245 and the zapco for 550 shipped, both would be ran at 4 ohms on a 12 Mag. I believe the jbl is rated 787 watts at 4 ohms and the zapco 800 watts at 4 ohms. I really want the zapco but I dont know if power diference is worth $305. Does anybody know if the zapco is stable at 1 ohm??? If yes, then I will definitly pick it up.

Anyone care to look into the crystal ball and tell me where we will be at in 5+ years for subwoofers? Back Story: I own a near mint 10w7 and a 13w7 in pro wedge box. I'm deciding on selling a lot of my equipment (locally) because I've upgraded (Crescendo 3500) BUT I KNOW in about 5 years time, when I buy a different car, I will be "starting over" and probably starting small - 1k setup. And because I'm nearly giving this stuff away, I'm beginning to wonder, do I store it and use it 5 years from now because I'm saving a few hundred dollars ... or get rid of it, even at a few hundred-dollars loss in hopes that equipment is going to be EVEN BETTER in 5+ years? Besides my iss…

So after having my sub for 3 weeks the suspension is gone on it . It is a DC Audio Level 3, i had it in a 3.4ft^3 box tuned to 32HZ running less than rated clean power to it (used a DD1). It never over heated to the point I could smell the coil but today it started bottoming out and i took it out of the box and could bottom it out with one finger. Did i do something wrong or was this a manufacturer error?

First I want to say I love these woofers and after trying them I don't understand why they get so much hate. I've played rock, country, jazz, rap, r&b, and blues. The subs played every note with great detail and clarity. Right now I'm running them with a Sundown Audio SAX 1200d at 1 ohm, and I'm just blown away with how loud they are and how great they sound. If these subs sound this amazing in a ported prefab box(1.25 cubic ft per sub) I can't wait until I get one built.

  18. Okay, so I'm wanting to build a box into my worthless backseat area in my mustang and reverse mount a 18 which should look sweet as hell. I'm not walling it into the trunk though, I dont /think/ anyway, it will depend on if I can fit it or not. The point is 1: to keep my trunk space open and 2: to avoid firing in the trunk at all to avoid all the nasty trunk rattles. 3: to look badddass. Here is a picture to get the idea, a mix of both is what I'm going for. Question is, does anyone have experience with mustang cabin responses, etc that can recommend me away or towards a specific sub? I'm going to have about 2500~ RMS to a single 18. I was thinking a ZCON initially, as …

I'm looking at putting two digital design 8's (500 or 600 series) under my back seat. My truck is a 2004 chevy ext. cab. I was told by the customer service guy at digital designs, that 8's would be better due to air space. Does anyone have a similar setup in a 2002-2006 chevy/gmc ext cab? I listened to one guys truck that had one 8 under the center console of an F-250 crew cab, it sounded good to me. I'm not looking to be heard a block away, but want something nice. Also, I was quoted $200-$225 for a custom built box at an audio store (in OKC) to hold the two 8's. Does this seem reasonable? Has anyone had any dealings with digital designs, if so how did you like i…

So i just received my BTL about an hour ago, and since i just bought myself a nice touchscreen sony camera, i thought i would document the unboxing, install, and everything. But since i am a little frusterated with FI right now, i figure i would vent. I purchased a 12" btl back in December, and was 105% satisfied with quality and everything about the sub. I got bored of the 12" so i sold it and now moving up to a 15". But this time around, im left feeling a little doubtful about FI product. Ill post specs and then vent: BTL15 DUAL 1 | DUAL 2 Fs: 35.6 Hz | 34.6 Hz Re: 0.7 Ohms/coil | 1.4 Ohms/coil Qms: 5.72 | 5.90 Qes: .24 | .22 Qts: .23 | .22 Mms: 256g | 272g …

*Disclaimer* I suck at writing reviews. *Disclaimer* I threw the D2's in my car today. They are in the same box that I used for my kappa perfects. 5 cubes net, 70 square inches of port tuned to 28 hz. Total volume 7.3 cu. ft. I am running them at 300 RMS each from my KX650.4 (mid amp) LOUDNESS I've been without subs for probably 5-6 months. But since then I've had the pleasure of listening to ALOT of loud systems. 18 XXX, 15" Brahma Extreme, 15" MT are the most notable, as I spent the most time listening to them. That being said... as it is currently, I don't find this setup to be that loud. But it must be taken into consideration that I'm not running these anywher…

  25. I am beginning to look a good component pair to put into my factory 5x7 location after I sound deaden in a couple weeks. First, Does anyone think I can fit 6.5 woofers into a Ford Focus 5x7 hole without much fabrication (meaning adapter plate or MDF ring). If I can't fit a 6.5, how much is lost by going to a 5.25 inch set? I am really lacking midbass now with the 5x7 type-r coax's that came with the car. Hoping that sound deadening and a decent set of components will fix that up. I will be powering the set with an Alpine MRP-F450 (70wrmsx4, or 200wrmsx2 bridged).
