Hi i new to the forum and the reason why im posting this is because i cant figure out which sub fit my needs..... I want a sub that has good sound quality so i was looking at the FI Q but i also want a sub that can hit hard as well... this is going in the trunk of a honda civic and im shooting for a size 15 maybe 2 15 but im not sure if 2 can fit in the trunk... also can anybody help me on considering good components...

I just got a 2003 toyota celica gts and am set on getting a 12" SSA ICON D2. I am going for SQ and dont know whether to get a ported box or sealed. Also, I have heard that facing the sub up is a good idea in a celica because of the shape of the tailgate. Anyway, i need to know info on the box and what amp to get. My budget for the amp is about 150. Thanks for your time in advance.

I have a 15 inch Fi SSD with a bout 800 watts going to it. I want to get some front 6.5 components that will be able to keep up with it. I have a kicker 150.2 amp so that should be able to do about 100 watts x 2. Budget around 100 dollars but I will go higher or lower if its worth it.

What would be the ideal place to put my sub in my van? Right behind my seat facing the back doors or turned around facing me i think i'm going to have the box sealed im not sure yet.

Alright guys i have a 99 monte carlo and the factory speaker size is 5.25" but i found very nice 6.5 speakers Image Dynamics CTX65CS i think for the price they are unbeatable but heres my questions is there any easy way to fit those into my car without any custom fabrication? Any help is appreciated. dan

ok I wanted to get a rl-i8 but they wont br in stock for a while so i found these AA Assassin Series 8"D4 and I have heard they r almost the same thing so...witch one do you think I should go with.

I have been looking for some mid bass speakers and these caught my eye, I'm wondering if anyone out there has used them if so how did you like them? I would be using them in a 3way passive set as the woofer, crosser over points are 500hz and 3.5hz off a R/F P400-2. They are on eBay for what I believe to be a reasonable price. Ok guy i need some input, im going to be running a LVL 4xl 18 in my 2008 HYUNDAI ACCENT hatchback and want to know what config you would use on the box subs up port back or what?Also how many cubes should the box be 8-10 i want this box to play low but not to low, ie (GROUND POUNDER) My main goal is for the box to reek havoc on my car.

I have a pair of Infinity Kappa 60.9 components. The left tweeter fried after a week. I cannot figure out why. I was feeding them around 80 watts and they seemed to shine. Anyway I am looking to replace the tweeters with something better. I need something large to fill the huge 2 3/8 inch mounting hole from the infinitys. and it needs to be 4 ohm. I am going to cross it over at 3.5khz. Please help me find something. My budget is tight. I cannot go over 25 bucks a pop. I found these and they seem to fit the bill. Looking to get good sounding 6x8's for my 2004 mountaineer like to spend around $150 a pair.... I have a SAZ1500 and an RE audio MX15 factory 6x8's is not cutting it... Ideas please

im thinkin about getting 2 of these for my girl's ride. it will be powered with a audiobahn hct-1500 @ 2 ohms. if anybody has ran these b4 let me know which type of box it likes best. my girlfriend listens to alot of r&b and pop music..thanks

What it says, I have an oppurtinity to change the subs out. I have ~2000rms to work with per sub, just curious which one would be louder and if the DMXs can get low, cuz the BLs don't get the lows I want. '

Right now I am running 2 polk momo 12's single vc, in sealed 1 cube boxes behind my seat. I am thinking of switching to 1 12 in a ported box and adding 2 8's for some more midbass. I dont have the room to port both subs. The sealed box are fine but I listen to a wide range of music, sometimes they dont hit the low low notes as well as I want them. I was just wonder if there was any suggestions about the quality of sound or should I just suck it up. I dont want to cut the back wall or anything, though I am thinking about modding the rear speaker spots on the wall behind the door/ seat for the 8's. I have a good sound for the most part it s just hitting the hard low notes…

i was just wondering if anyone got there sub they ordered on black friday yet. i got an email that it was awaiting shipment but didnt receive any tracking orders. im fine with waiting just curious thats all. ordered 15" XCON if it makes any difference.

Just ordered 2 of these woofers, I havent asked Rusty yet, so I thought i would just ask here maybe to see what I should tune these at. I was thinking 36-38 hz? Let me know what oyu think.

What would be a nice 8" sub to replace a blown stock sub. Not very high wattage.

i have 2 infinity reference 6x9's hooked up to a 40x4 sony 4 channel amp, they are loud as hell but have no bass but if i turn up the bass on my cd player it distorts like crazy, the only way they sound good is if i put the balance either all the way to the right or all the way to the left. but in the middle, no bass. What should i do to fix this problem, ive tried alot of stuff already.

Okay so i have a powerbass pb-b125dv2 and it is popped and i want an fi recone. I was going to get the re se recone from them. I was going to change the gasket to 12 spoke and buy the recone and drop it in. Will this work. And it is a DVC sub. Is this possible. The sub is pratically new.

Aight , I have done a few IB installs here and there. Dave and I were discussing IB in his camry and a question came to mind . Both sides of the sub play exactly the same thing , only one side is 180 degrees out of phase with the other. So knowing that , does it matter which side of the sub is mounted in the trunk ? Meaning 99.9% of the time an IB install in a car is done , the cone is faced forward towards the cabin of the vehicle, and motor in the trunk . Does it have to be this way or can it be flipped the other direction ?

Building a little setup for my dad, its going into a volkswagen jetta, already has an alpine mrd-500 in it, so im basing my sub decision around that power. He listens to oldies, classic rock, country...so i was thinking something along the lines of a pair of sundown e8's, sundown sa-10 etc....any other recommendations are welcome. Also thinking either a low tuned ported box, or 4th order bandpass. Hes missing a bit of hearing on the low end scale so this could make up for it.

my friend is building a box for me that will be 3.7 cf @ 27hz.My question is how much port do we need? what's the displacement for the port in that box? any help is appreciated
