Hey guys, I'm about to go off to college and I can no longer use my backseats for subs. I drive an F150 2001 4door supercrew and I'm looking for a sub that can go under my backseat. I'm just looking for a single 10" or 12". My amp is an alpine m500. any suggestions for the sub? As far as my budget goes id like to keep it under 300$ for the sub and box.

I know the 302's are meant for off axis in door applications. Does this mean that the mid and tweet are BOTH aimed off axis? Just aiming straight across at each other, right? I just want to get this right. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Hello folks. I wanted to get some opinions on 8inch midbass drivers. I'm changing up the front end in my Dodge Durango. I will be running 4 Diamond Audio M6 4inch midranges and a pair of M&K softdome tweets. They will be actively passed at 250 up at 12db per/octave. One set of mids and the tweets will reside in custom pods on the front corners of the dash(tucked in between the dashboard, A-pillar, and windshield so they can be on-axis and facing the passengers) and the second set will reside in pods on the upper front corners of the front door panels. All will be laser aligned to a center point about a foot past the front seats. The midbasses will be located in the lo…

I did some searching all over the net and here and really didn't see anything much on MB Quart stuff. I am checking out components to pair with a sundown amp in the future and MB Quart kinda caught my eye. I know they were good in the past when they werent owned by maxxonics and have heard mixed reviews since their merge. I am kinda wishy washy with what i actually wind up doing but i am looking for comps for the front to replace the ones i have no, 6.5's, my rear doors have midbass which i want to replace with a second set of comps and my rear deck is compose of 2 6x9's which i want to swap out for 2 midbass addons. Any input? Im looking around the 200ish mark for ea…

Hello, I am somewhat new here and just purchased yesterday a pair of MJ18's. Gentleman had four of them in a wall behind the second seat in an Astro van and they sounded wonderful. I do believe he goes by Stu something here. Anyway I wanted to know what the cut-out Diameter is for these subs. Thanks, Chris

hey guys. been a long time since i've been around. ive got a 15" mag in my max (from the first batch) and i love the way it sounds but im starting to wonder if something is wrong. the mag sits in a 3.2 ft^3 box that donn designed and gave free plans to. its being powered by a memphis mc-1000d and is seeing 1100 watts (or so im thinking, i want to get the amp bench tested). it doesnt seem like im getting the volume that i should be getting in that a ive been rivaled by several JL 15's (W3 and W0). i havent been metered yet. so there are several thing that id like to do and hopefully improve what ive got. my trunk rattles like hell because it isnt deadened but this is in …

hey guys, i'm really leaning towards getting a 12" D2 for my system right now, but i got a quick question. i'm planning on powering it w/ an avionixx 800.2 (1x800 watts RMS bridged @ 4ohms) in a sealed enclosure ~1.6 cu. ft. will the D2 still sound clean and moderately loud w/ this little bit of power? i'm going for LSQ by the way.

I haven't been on this forum in a while so just thought I would drop in. Can't wait to see the new BM series drivers come out. Also, I have been working on my install off and on lately, added new HO alt, Yellow Top, Big 3, etc.... and will be soon building a new home for my Mag 15 and amp rack. I am tempted to go ported but don't want to lose the sq that I love so much about the sealed mag. However, I am still being impressed more and more as I have had alot more time to play with my mag lately and this sucker still impresses the hell out of me and anyone that listens to it. Again great job SI!!!!! sure wish I could fit 2 15s.

I just wondering if there is a way to calculate how much port area you need? I know a basic way to do this is to have 16 square inches of port area for every cube of box volume. I also know that port area needed for a driver has nothing to do with the volume of the enclosure. so how would I calculate the right amount of port area for a driver?

I haven't heard much about these subs and are curious about them for a friends vehicle. Was just wondering how these subs are and how they compare to other subs in there power range? Like the RE Audio SR's, DC Sound Lab Level 2's, SS RL-i series and AA Assassins? My friend is looking for a good pair of 12s to power off a 600 watt Kicker amp. He wants it to get loud and sound clean in a ported enclosure. The Dcons look promising but I haven't heard much feedback about them since they were released.

Ok so here is my question. I am reconing my sub. My friend has leftover glue from his recone. He ordered this glue from Fi and it came with a bottle of activator. He gave me this glue for my recone and I need to know if its okay to use with out the activator. i placed a bead of it to dry and it hardened up, Do I really need it to complete my recone process. If not I have a tube of Goop that I want to use for the repair, I was told its okay to use it for the recone. If there is anything else that I can get locally please let me know. I did google to find out any info but couldnt find it. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, been a long time since I've been around on the forum here. I've mainly been doing performance stuff on my car, but am bored again with my system in the truck. I have an 08' crew cab silverado and already had a custom box with 2 JL8w7's. Rear seat has been lifted 2" to accommodate larger boxes. I just picked up a DD m1c as I think that's the most powerful amp i'll be able to use without further upgrading my electrical system. I can build a box up to a a total of about 2.7 cubic feet, maybe 3.0 total absolutely maxing out space. I can fit 8's front facing, or if I downfire them I can fix up to 15" with up to 7.5" mounting depth. I'm looking for as loud as p…

  24. I made a box and it ended up being only 3.5cuft... so i can either just seal it and the sub would fit just fine... but i would much rather ported because my experience it is much louder... but if i went ported the port would be 18.125" x 2.25" and the box would only be about 2.5 cuft... tuned around 32.. so i went through 2 sheets of mdf to look at it and say that its too small.... any suggestions? Should i just seal it and wait till i feel up to getting another sheet of mdf to make a ported? Because i have it so close to being ported... like face is cut and everything... it will be much easier to make it ported.. but idk... i need help.

Hey guys I used the search feature to do as much research as I could. I would again like to ask the opinion of the masses on a particular subject My question is I was going to purchase the cdt 6.5 inch ef61 pro euro frame components with the upgraded tw 25 tweeter. The rms on these is 140 watts. Just what my amp makes x2 at 14 volts. The problem I have is I was going to spring for the cdt hd 62 high def components but the rms on these is 180 watts. Should I stick with the ef61 and power them perfectly or spring for the high defs and toss a little less power to a better set up? Both will fill the bill for what I need but I am unsure as to what to do. I do want to go with t…
