The drivers are here! If you pre-ordered drivers, yours will probably go out next week. Other than that, ordering is officially open...although I probably won't get around to putting it on the web page until this weekend. Being this busy can not be healthy.

I have an xtant 1001 it gives 1000 watts rms I need either 2 12's or 1 12 what do you guys think is louder 2 re se 12s or 2 rlp 12s or 1 re sx 12 I only care about SPL whatever I get will be in a ported box thanks in advance

Well someone wants to trade me a set of these speakers for some deadener. only problem i dont know much about rainbow. i was wondering if someone could fill me in on this particular model. i am searching google as we speek as well but if you have heard them and/or know what they are worth and any opinions would be great help thanks.

anyone using a Mag 12 in a HT setup? What power and size enclosure? Good results?

would the Zed Minilith be a good match for the new Mag? I know the Mag is rated at 900RMS and the Minilith is rated at 600RMS. I know the Mag can take less and the Minilith does more but would this be a good match for SQ and the occassional SPL comp?

are the T/S on the website for the new prototype?

Hey, my friend just purchased 2 audiobahn subs (800 watts apeice) and put them in a sealed box. He has them running of an audiobahn a8002t amp. Well i heard it the other day and it didnt sound right. You could hear the magnets way too much and the surround wasnt really moving a whole lot. I was wondering if somethin may be hooked up wrong or if anyone would know what it is?

Before anyone asks, not the Blazer, but a Blazer. 12" sealed in about 1.3 cubes with a Hifonics Z600 on it. If and/or when Jake ever shows up on here he can vouche for what I'm about to post on. Our bass demo CD that we have made has everything from Tocatta in B (off the Bass Mechanic CD) to Tricycle (for dynamics) to Bela Fleck, to Spies, to...well you get the picture. Tocatta (sp?) in B is just nuts. Unlike the previous generations of Mag's, there is no shelving off in the extreme low-end (the older Mag's would drop about 3 dB but keep that same level through the lower freq's). As the bass drops, the Mag just keeps the SPL the same. This single 12 off of 600 watts…

I see people mention their subs from time to time, but has anyone tried their components? If so do you like or dislike them? What are they comparable to?

Found a helluva deal on ScanSpeak D2904/6000-01. Check out their prices at Madisound then go to www.pacparts.com. Click on Consumer Electronics and do a parts search for Alpine Model Number SPXF17T. It will pull up a page with all the parts associated with the sets and you will see the part number D2904/600001. It is the raw tweeter of the set sourced from ScanSpeak and guess which model they picked? It is the same exact specs wise. Just says lowly alpine on it......and they say there isn't a price for the label. I just ordered a set to go with the Lotus Ref's and I should see them in a week and a half. Hey my friend has 2 audiobahn 1206ts in a sealed box powered by 2 a8000ts and he had his system on and the cone on his subs were really hot. Does anyone know anything about this?

Well I get back to the house and see a package at the door and I think "sweet! The second Mag came in today!" Well I get up to the door and notice that it is not our specific box (we have all drivers packaged and shipped a certain way in certain boxes). The box is oblonged shaped with scratches, dent, and scuffs all over it. I take it in the house and this is what I see (pics below). Fedex apparently played football in a concrete parking lot with the drivers motor and then threw it in a random box with no packaging. Hey i need advice on which sub is better. I am looking at subs and i came across a Alpine Type R 12 for 105. I am wondering what kind of sub the Type R compares to. So if you have any idea just feel free to reply.

.....so i can let this prototype have a swing at it! Only spent about 45mins with it so far on the drive home and there is a definite difference from 2nd gen and this prototype for the 3rd gen. The amazing SQ has been improved, i actually get double kick drums on Metallica songs. I plan on playing around with it more later tonight and will post review and some pics of the proto vs the 2nd gen. Good thing about this improvement though is that they didn't redo the characteristics of the sub, they added on to it. Example when the O series from ED got replaced from the Ov.2, the SQ changed and some liked it and some didn't. Wasn't as controlled and output was peaky, IMO…

Hey im getting a Toyota Camry to start driving and im wondering which sub or subs yall would recommend. The smallest i want to go is 12. Open to any suggestions.

Yep, the first ever production driver came in today. A second driver should come shortly...which the pair of them are being rush-shipped to a competitor that is going to be putting up some serious numbers with them. The rest of the drivers are going to be glorious, as the one driver I have here is absolutely beautiful. If you guys want pics of it, just let me know.

Hey im a newbie and i am lookin into sellin my current system and getting a new one. I am sellin my Pl2-212 system with PA amp. My friend is thinking about buying it but he needs permission from his parents (lol). Anyways i was looking at getting a new system and i am looking for more of an Spl sub(s) that still has alot of Sq to go around. I am looking for a Sub(s) that is no more than 250. Thanks

Hey at other forums i have been told to get a Rl-p15 powered by a Hifonics Brutus amp. I was wondering how 2 Alpine Type R 12s would compare to one Rl-p15? Any help?

i currently have an RL-p15 that i consider my baby, powered by a JL e1800D amp. since i dont full on pound the RL-p i want to get a 12" sub that would handle all the beating of 1000 watts on a daily basis. im thinking of eclipse or alpine at the moment, but im open to any suggestions. oh yeah, and as much as possible id like to stay under $260
