well i will be building these as soon as i find some coils that will do the job. after some consulting i have been informed the coils i was going to use won't be optimum with these motors. but here are some pics of what i have as of now.

first off i havent been on this forum in a while but im looking for a new setup soon and getting back into the scene. so anyway i sold my friend my fi bl 15 in a 3.4 cu.ft. box tuned to i think 30hz. i had it in the trunk of my 95 civic running off of a sundown sae-1200D and it sounded good and hit pretty low. once i installed it in my friends late model malibu it was running off a sundown saz-1000D it honestly didnt sound to good at all. so he is looking for more and he wants 2 15's but i told him its not gonna fit, so i suggested a single fi btl n2 12 or maybe 2 bl 12's, hes not rich so his buget isnt to big. any suggestions would be great thanks!

So here is the deal. I am on my way to the goal of $900 for the zcon's. Got $650 now. Yay. Question is what ohms should I get? 2 or 1? I have a saz2500z, and I'm using the same box I have now. 4.75^3 @33hz I think. Have to double check. Have a mechman 270 alt, big 3 in 0 gauge, and am gettin a battery as soon as I get the subs. Goal is to be "loud and proud". Lol. That's what my dear friend use to say before he passed. I wanna hit like no one else has around here. That's the ultimate goal!

Whats going on .. So I just wired my xcon 15 back up today noticed a slight coil noise... Anyone close to south Chicago for a recone.. Or anyone do any thing nice with the xcons besides psi ... And has anyone reconed through ssa if so wondering around how long I'll be waiting for it to come back thanks

I currently have just 2 12" kicker comps that i bought at curcit city. I want... i NEED, more power and bass So now I'm deciding between 2 15" Kicker L7's or an 18" Fi BTL I'm looking for loudness! Can you tell me about these subs? Like sound quality, and how loud they are? oh yea, im driving a 4runner right now... what ever i get i know that i have to get new batteries and a better altenator! haha but yea, thanks for the help,!

Hey, I'm currently running a Soundsplinter rli-8 (s4) driven by a Sundown 100.2. I just dropped in the Sundown last night (got it on the sale) and wow what a difference compared to the Rockford Fosgate 325.2 that I was running. Loud and culeeeen! Since this is just an 8, of course it has trouble going down low low with any real punch. Not a complaint, it's a freakin 8 and I can't believe what it is capable of. So I'd like to drop in a Soundplinter RLP D2 w/ a Sundown 1000D. Question: Will I be better off just letting the 12 do all the work, or could I get louder by running the 12 from say, 20-50Hz or so, and the 8" up to 80Hz or so? I'm not looking to get rid of the 8, …

I am dying to buy these lil' monsters , i have a large trunk (chrysler 300) and am wanting an optimal vented box for these bad boys, can a pro or guru chime in and offer any suggestions or tuning freq. suggestions,an box size, i plan on running probably a sundown 1000D amp @ 1 ohm mono so the 2 8's will split 1k rms, im looking for a box to really make these subs sing yet still play music, not just pure spl, thanks in advance

my friend is looking to build a box and install a sub under the back seat. we don't have the dimensions of our space but we were wondering what a good sub would be that is 5" or less deep. were thinking one 10" or two 8" subs in a sealed box. or one 8" in a ported box. any recommendations would be very appreciated. we will be able to fit a 1cuft box according to the stealth box that is sold on crutchfield.

So there's way too many new products coming out and I don't know what I want to try. I want a good clean sounding system, but I'm a bit of a bass head and do like to crank the bass. I have a Q12 sealed in my other car and like the sound and how low it goes, but I want to look at other things. I drive a Magnum and could get two 15's or something big no problem, but other than lots of bass my goal is to stay low profile so I still have cargo room AND i'd like to keep the spare. So I'm thinking either in floor low profile or something that only comes slightly out of the floor. Anybody use/seen/heard the Lanzar opti6c comp set?? I know all Lanzar makes except the Opti line is Junk, but the Optiu amps are well built. Hi, so I'm doing a build of two icon 15's in my dodge Dakota crew cab, I have one set of amped hertz hsk components in my doors and just got a second set and wondering if I should put.a second set in the front doors or the second set in the rear doors? yes guys, has anyone tried the RE SX 12" in 1.75ft^3 tuned at 33-34Hz? how will it sound on the lows, and the SPL? how you compare it against it in a 2.0ft^3 box tuned at 35hz will the 2.0ft^3 @35Hz play lower and louder than it in the 1.75ft^3 @ 33-34Hz Box, even that the smaller box is tuned lower? On RE sites they recommend 1.5ft^3 @35Hz and 2.0ft^3 @ 33Hz why is this? isn't the bigger box better for the lows, so why tune it so low? Isn't it better to tune the 1.5ft^3 @ 33Hz to get the lows of it compare it at 35Hz and the 2.0ft^3 @ 35Hz compare it at 33Hz? this part I don't understand, I've always thought that a bigger box is better for the lows and the smaller box b…

I'm fairly new to car audio and even newer to this forum in particular, but there appears to be tons of great information here from numerous people with years of car audio expertise so I figured I'd start here for help.
