I want to purchase two 12's. I want them to have deep, loud bass. Given the right amount of power and a good enclosure which would sound better? 2 Fi SSD with a Flatwind coil, or 2 Gcon 12s

I'm planning on installing two 15 inch Fi Qs in a sealed enclosure and I am looking for a good set of components for my front stage that will be able to "keep up" with the sub stage. Thanks in advance.

So, I have a newly acquired ep3 (Honda Civic SI, 2002). Audio system is completely stock. It has a set of tweets 1'' above the dash, and two pairs of 6.5'' speakers in it. I believe i should be getting a component set, and leave the rear stage for fill, and only get fronts. So then I could get some nice stuff, but mind it has to be within the power range of the CS60.4. I'm new to component sets, although, I know rainbow has some nice stuff. posted this on a couple other forums but thought i wwould post here as well heres some of the box i built for it specs are 6.4 cubes 110 sq in of port 30hz tuning got some pics but i decided to repaint it black after i fleckstoned it, so i'll post some pics of it finished after ifinish that

Need to build a new box for my suv. Im running two RF t212d4 on two rf t1500bdcp. I want to go subs up port back now that im not in a trunk car. Does anyone have experience with what box size/tuning/port area these subs excel in? Right now they are in 2 cube box tuned to 35 and do ok, but im sure they have way more in them. Hi I am running two Zed audio Miniliths to one level 3 12 with the spl coils. I thought it would maybe be too much power but they take it very well. I have the sub woofer in a very small sealed box and it still hits very well and the frequencies are very pronounced. I would almost be willing to say it sound like 2 12s but it is not that loud. The cone has some awesome xmax

I got 1 BL 12 off a sundown 1500d right now. Looking at changing to 2 10's. Whats 2 good 10's that will be good off 1 1500d? thanks

Hello all. New sub is being built as we speak (went full carbon fiber cone and dustcap also). Dc suggests 5.5 cubes but im wondering if anyone else has had some experience with these things to give me the right direction to head. The current box is about 7.5 cubes net so a new box is in order. Will also be going up in power soon. Sub will be on a synergy 35.1 at .5 until i can get a bigger amp. It will be daily but also the occasional competition.

So here is the deal. I am on my way to the goal of $900 for the zcon's. Got $650 now. Yay. Question is what ohms should I get? 2 or 1? I have a saz2500z, and I'm using the same box I have now. 4.75^3 @33hz I think. Have to double check. Have a mechman 270 alt, big 3 in 0 gauge, and am gettin a battery as soon as I get the subs. Goal is to be "loud and proud". Lol. That's what my dear friend use to say before he passed. I wanna hit like no one else has around here. That's the ultimate goal!

i was thinking either diamond audio m6 or d6. any other recomendations? and what is the difference between the m6 and d6 from DA. which of them sound better. thanks

Currently deciding between an 18" Bl or an 18" RL-P.. I am basically looking for just a loud daily driver that will pound the lows. I have 1500 watts on hand to power them.. What could I expect from each sub, and how do they compare?

I have had my cut out cones sitting outside since last year, out in the rain snow and sun, and the only thing that has happened to them is the cones on a few have turned white. The paper cones are still solid, foam surrounds are all good, glue holding them turned white but not loose one bit. The coils havent rusted, the coil glue hasnt let loose... they are just the same as when I cut them off other than bleeched. I have been impressed every time I look at them, so the other day I was having fun and displayed them on my porch. It stormed hard last night so I went out into the dumping rain and snapped some pics. I think drivers have come a long way over the years, as ever…

I just purchased a pair of SEAS tweets and was wondering if I wrapped them with grill cloth over the metal mesh grill if this would affect the sound.

So I got bored and took my Orb Audio sub out of its' enclosure and noticed holes in the cone down by the spider. Why is this? Iv'e never seen it before or heard of doing this. Anyway, Here are some pics of this little bad boy. It's not a bad sub for an 8". It acts more like a 10" or 12". I wish the extension was a bit lower but this is just my game room setup. Here it is next to my AA assasin that I've still yet to install. Not sure IF I want to build an enclosure for two of these in the game room or put them in my wife's car. Decisions...decisions!!!!!

i just had my xcon 18 installed being pushed by a aq 2200d in a 5 cubic box and its loud. well im looking to buy 2 12inch 2011 icons in a ported box what will be the sound diffrence such as hitting lows an what not thanks for any help

I used to drive a chevy silverado, and now I'm driving a pontiac grand prix gtp. in the chevy ontop of the back seat, i had 3 memphis 12's in a ported box tuned around 40 hz. now i'm trying to figure out a box that can fit in the trunk to have the 3 subs ported a little lower, probably around 30. the problem isnt so much that i don't have enough trunk space, but the opening when the trunk's open is EXTREEMLY too small to fit a 6 cu. ft. box ported, so now i need help as to putting them all in.... my first guess would be to build three seperate boxes and put them in that way and maybe bolt them all together or something, but has anyone dealt with grand prixs and have a bet…

I have a pair of Rockford Fosgate RFS-12"s 8 ohm. They're damn near brand new just surround glue is shot. Does anyone repair this? Also curious if anyone can beef it up? Seen a few custom made subs on them internets and was wondering if anyone specializes in this? Thanks. -Robby
