This is by far the single best investment I've made in yrs. Everyone hates doing recones cause of cleaning the dreaded basket. Fear no more! Took all of 5 mins. to clean.

I have an 18" TC 5200 and it works just fine, however, one of the tinsel leads came off from the spider and there is a hole in the spider. There are also some marks on the coil, not sure if its coil rub or what exactly since I dont hear any coil rub. The driver still functions just fine and I've been using it in its condition for several months now, but I would like to have a sub with no flaws, I guess I'm just picky like that. I was wondering who can recone the sub or perhaps get me a new top assembly to match the adapter I have. I might even be interested in another driver, but of course, I'd prefer to go the route that saves the most money. Any suggestions would be …

Alright, so somebody in my class is looking for a subwoofer for his 1500 reg. cab. He will most likely need a shallow mount subwoofer im thinking, but i havent been able to find a build log of a regular cab so i can get some ideas for where the box is placed ect. Im not really knowledgeable on shallow mount subwoofers so id think id ask you guys. He was looking for about a 12" or 15" sub. If you need more information just ask.

I have a infinity amp that puts out 600 rms at 2 ohms. I want an 18 inch sub in a ported box which i will be building. I only have enough money to get the mj 18 4 ohm. I was wondering if i will get good results by using the amp i have with the subwoofer. Im basically wondering how loud it will be....

Is it possible to build a fiberglass enclosure out of your whole trunk? I have 2 subs that need 6cft each but my trunk only holds 13cft .Right now my box only has 3.2cft each chamber.so it about half of the correct spec. it slams but it the biggest box i could jam into my trunk. looking for alt to keep both subs.

I got a question for you guys that have heard walled subs. I got two IA DP 21s now in my truck where my back seat was facing up ports up. Sounds real good except my poor back wall flexing. I never seen a walled vehicle in person is that the way to go? If they sound good I'd be down to do it over?

i need port dimesions for and icon 12 in a 2 cubic ft. box if you can tell me the rectangular port size and the circular port size for tunning to 34hz

How does the RSD-216 woofer compare to others? Should I upgrade it or stick with it? I was happy with the sound it had when I had them installed in my accord. Money is an issue.

Found someone selling a pair of Punch HE2 RFP3208s for cheap, and was thinking of picking them up to toy with since Ive never used 8s before. I cant find anything about them though except a lacking manual that doesnt have all the normal specs in it. Basically just 250w RMS, 11mm xmax, and box suggestions. Anyway, they are BNIB, and Im guessing kind of rare since I cant find anything on them. Has anyone heard or used them before that can comment if they are worth trying out?

I am a new owner of a SI D2 Mag 12" Version 2 subwoofer. I need help with a box. This sub will play 65Hz and down and will be powered by a US Amps 900Watt at 12 volts amp. My car runs at 14.6 Volts. The rest of my system will be this. CDT ES520's in the kicks 150 Watts. CDT EF8's for midbass on the doors 300 Watts. The ES's will play 250 Hz and up. The EF8's will play 65Hz to 250 Hz. The SI sub will play 65 and down. Everything will be powered by US Amps. I am a SQ guy, so at first I would say I am looking for a SQ sub box design. However I have to ask , if I have 8's up front doing the midbass, and the SI sub is only doing 65Hz and down, will SQ even matter? …

hey guys! Here's the dealio. I currently run an 18" BL tuned to 35Hz and am looking to upgrade. Its in a tiny tiny box, (maybe 5 cubes) and I know I need more space, but i cant make anymore in my trunk so I'm switchign it out! Here's what i have to work with. Sundown 1500D for my amp around 4.5 cubes, maybe upto 5 max if I need it biggest sub size i can fit in there is a 15" I don't really have a budget...maybe $400 max for the sub(s). Goals for this are to have a little bit more lower end output (will be tuning to around 32Hz for new box) What are some good sub reccomendations?? Rec'd my Xcon 10D2 back in October and finally got the car install done yesterday and all I can say is ....Damn . I have the Xcon in a 1.2cuft^3 sealed box and it sounds amazing. I know it'll need some time to break in, but this little monster sounds tits . I replaced a Phoenix Gold TIElite12D to reduce some weight, but the Xcon actually weighs more than the Elite and seems to be more efficient as I was running the ELite off a PG TI1200.1 and the Xcon is currently runnin' off a JL Audio 500/1v2. Great sub for the money and couldn't be happier, thanx again SSA.

now i've never built a box or system with inverted mounted subs, what does this do? does it affect anything other then theres less displacement for the box? can you still port say 2 12 ssd that are inverted?

just wondering if anyone has played with them yet, and what they thought, I wanted to ask outside of the RF forum, I usually have access to all the new RF stuff, but not really anymore

Im debating whether to send a kicker 1500zx back and get a Rockford Fostgate T20001 but would that overpower a BL FL at 2 ohms because from what I hear the Rockford Fostgate is way underrated on the cover, but in the box it shows 800w+ then the cover Would it be worth the trouble to send a kicker 1500zx back and spend $100 on this Rockford? what do you think of this as a midbass silver flute very flat from 50-500hz incredible senstivity and i cant complain about the price.

Ok now on topic -- When I first got my system running I noticed there was a smell to it. Not a bad smell but just something strange; best I can describe it is the smell of a fresh built, just turned on computer. The reason why I relate it to this is because I just re-built my computer today and notiecd this is how it smells. I have never smelled burning nor have I ever heard the woofer "bottom out". Well, one of the coils on my mag are blown. Shortly after putting my sub from ported to sealed, I hear danggg danngg when the bass hit hard and I tested both coils...one reads 2 ohms, the other reads anywhere from 14-22 ohms. How much does it cost to get this fixed ? Ive had it for 2 years now, I bought it when the new mags were comin out and they were logoless (no it wasnt stolen, I have receipts from paypal where I sent Nick the $$). Can anyone help? Thanks

I would like some of you to rank these by clarity at high volume. Which are really designed to keep up with extreme bass with having to opt for Selenium, B&C, or Eminence.
