I just bought a 4ohm Lethal Injection 12" (just fried my old Polk momo) for my grand prix. As i type i have a sealed 12" box i got from a random auto shop a few years ago, i'm not even sure the cu'ft of the box to be honest. i'm really just looking for something to show off from time to time, for the most I run metal, but every now and then I like to jar the fillings in my teeth. :-) For the VERY brief time being it will be ran by a Sony XMGTR2022 amp that i've had for years. So ive been convinced by a third party to swap my fosgate amps for some audison amps and im wondering if i should still go all active up front. Im looking at 2 SRX 5 channels rated at 4X75, 1X160 @ 4ohm or 2X150 1X160 @ 4ohm (all my drivers are single 4) and i was planning on keeping my 301x fosgate amp I need to power pair front tweets, pair front midrange, pair front midbass, pair rear passive componants and center channel (9 channels) Ive sorta boiled it down to either All Audison active = 2X150 front midrange, 4x75 rear and front tweet, 2x160 midbass and center channel off the fosgate Fosgate/audison active 2X150 front midrange, 2 X150 rear, 2X160 midbass and center…

I need to bring my brahma back from the dead, its been sitting in my garage for over 3 years now (adire audio is no more) and i finally have the motivation to fix it. Where can i find a kit to re-cone and will the replacment effect the xbl2 technology or is that built into the sub itself. Id also need new tincle lead brakets (the things the leads are slolderd too marked + - ) a nice torque twist set would be nice. idk help me out ppl

I need a box for a Fi BL 12 sub woofer I would rather buy one unless it exceeds around $150. I would like it to be ported but I'm not sure if it will fit in my truck. I have a 2000 ford ranger XLT and I want to keep one back seat so it can't be to big. Any suggestions on pre-made boxes or if it's truly worth it, where can I learn how to build a perftect box for the BL 12.

I am getting ready to install comp set off of an amp. Is 12 gauge speaker wire the correct size to use for this? Or is there a better choice

I made a box and it ended up being only 3.5cuft... so i can either just seal it and the sub would fit just fine... but i would much rather ported because my experience it is much louder... but if i went ported the port would be 18.125" x 2.25" and the box would only be about 2.5 cuft... tuned around 32.. so i went through 2 sheets of mdf to look at it and say that its too small.... any suggestions? Should i just seal it and wait till i feel up to getting another sheet of mdf to make a ported? Because i have it so close to being ported... like face is cut and everything... it will be much easier to make it ported.. but idk... i need help.

i was just wondering what the best 12" subs i could buy for no more than $350 each would be that can take 1kw rms daily? i am looking for a hybrid of sq and spl ... i listen to hip hop and techno ... i love my lows but i also like that punchy techno bass ... my icons seem to be very picky with music choice ... some songs get real loud while others sound less loud than my 4 old 12s running off of 1.3kw rms total ... the subs will be in a 5.7 cubic ft enclosure

I think I finally decided on the Q. Now I just don't know which options are going to work best. I don't have an amp yet, but plan on getting something that is around 1200-1500. What I'm looking for in a sub, is one that will work best in a small sealed enclosure (around 1 cube), has great transient response, and can drop low. It is an old, old sub now, but my favorite by far has been the MASS 2012, and I just can't find a sub that is equal or better. The fs of the Q kind of makes me nervous, as the MASS was around 25 and the q is 34. My front stage consist of a DLS up6i set, being powered by an amp that is 150x2. I just got back into the car audio world, I'm doing a new build and I'd like to have some advice on these subs I'm looking at. I want to get either 15s or a single 18, the brands I've been looking at is the ssa ZCONs, PSI platform 3s or Fi BTLs, I'm running whatever I choose of a crescendo 5500. So can I please get some input

is there any relation? ie. would two subs showing an impedance of 4 ohms have a better chance at SQ than two subs showing 1 ohm

hi all i have a buddy just getting into car audio and hes looking to upgrade his juguar xj8s sound system the monly problem is he wants some bass but his gas tank completely seals off his trunk from his cab so nothing gets through. so i am looking for a 5.25 inch set of comps that have some strong mid bass to hold him over the only thing is he doesnt want to spend over 175

is the only difference between components with a tweeter in the middle of them and components with a seperate woofer and tweeter the positioning or does the seperate woofer provide better quality. I would also like to know what company has good components for around $150. any input is appreciated.

So a friend decided to go ahead and buy the same sub I have. With me being the loudest in the area he is now the loudest since his is in a hatchback while mine is in an SUV. My question is what upgrade should I go for? With 40 inches wide and 25 deep for the top, 6 12s would be difficult to fit unless I angled the top baffle. I also couldn't do more than three 15s unless, again, the top is angled. A second 18 would be doable but I want opinions on which would sound louder. The plan is a wall behind the C pillar, behind the second row. It's all just planning now, however.

now i've never built a box or system with inverted mounted subs, what does this do? does it affect anything other then theres less displacement for the box? can you still port say 2 12 ssd that are inverted?
