What happened to the box plans that once were available for download? I am wanting to build a standard single DCON 10 enclosure for my Fi X, but I can't find the plans anymore.

Hi, There is so little information on the mach5audio.com site regarding the MAW series. I wanted to know about the materials used in these subwoofers. What material is the cone, surround, and basket made of? Thanks!

I know you guys are thinking about how my radio has anything to do with SI...well, not having a radio for 4.5 weeks tends to drive an audiophile crazy. I used my Ipod with my Shure E4c ($299 retail) earbuds, but I was still missing it big time. Today I got my HU back and had it installed...well...the installer halfway did it and I had to finish it. His explanation...LOL..."I have never seen a radio with this many wires" (talking about my Eclipse 8053). I had written down all my setting before I had my deck servised. I pluged them all in and one again I was like a little kid who just got an Xbox 360 for x-mas. I am still in awe at how good the Mag sounds with any powe…

Hey guys, yes, what's minimum port area i can use for 4x RE SX 12" in 8ft^3 tuned at 33hz that will sound good? I was thinking of 54in^2 of port area (6x9 )I know it's small but i've seen some car that have small port area and sound good like Steve Meade Tahoe i remember that he had like 20ft^3 and 120in^2 of port for his 4x 18" and that's like 6in^2 for every 1ft^3, and mine is like 6.75in^2, now what do you guys think, will it be ok or bad for the SPL and Port Noise? the 4x SX 12" I'm planning to power them with 2x USAmps MD-3D, now how you guys compare this sound with 4x DD3512e power by 2x DD Audio M3? In both SPL and SQ will the SX's be close, or will the SX's win o…

  11. I'm looking to upgrade the midbass performance in my truck, while still blending in with the rest of my equipment and sounding good. I know I will not be able to keep up with my substage ever, because I am a basshead, but thats OK with me. I was looking at a set of the Peerless SLS 8" drivers. They would be mounted in my doors, right next to my set of Pioneer PRS C720 component speakers. Door will be sealed and deadened. I have around 150-200 watts available per channel for just midbass. I'm running stereo with no rear fill. I don't have any external processors but I have a P800-PRS head deck with the rear channels unused. What would I all need, and need to do setup…

I currently have a Polk Audio SR 124 SVC 12" subwoofer. It is not particularly loud but sounds great. I am more concerned about SQ. I plan to redesign my trunk and would like to go with 2 or 3 10's. I plan on a false floor construction in my 2003 Mustang Cobra trunk. The subs will be facing up in the middle of the trunk and powered by a Zapco DC reference 1100.1 amp with about 850W @ 4ohms. Source unit is a Pioneer AVIC N3 navigation system. I currently have a Polk Audio SR6500 component set in the doors powered by a Zapco DC Reference 1000.4 amp. My picklist is below: 2- Soundsplinter RL-i10's : pros: great price & reputation cons: not sure 2- Audiopulse Epic …

I just got my pair of new sdc2.5's along with my aq1200d amp. I want to wire it to 1 ohm and i believe the picture shows how to do it. However I'm very confused on the size of wire i need to use. I Believe i should use 4 gauge for the power and ground but what size should i use from the amp to the woofers. Not sure what size it is that the amp even takes for the subs. Does anyone know what the recommended size is or what the largest size the speaker outputs on the amp take. One more question what is the proper way to bridge the amp. Any help Would be greatly appreciated. Here's a link to the wiring I plan on using the top picture which will wire it to 1 ohm. Wirin…

Title explains it just wanted to run it by some people on here. Wanted to keep it pretty simple and not overly expensive. Going with a an alpine 9887 headunit running active. Sundown 100.4 amp, Sea CA18RNX mids, and Seas 27TFFNC/G tweeters. Crossing tweets at around 2.5k and mids around low 2k. Question that i just want to make sure is can the CA18RNX mids run up to the 2k range?

  18. these vids are terrible. if ure not into watching very bad speaker vids, then do not watch these please. it was just something to do. my camera is terrible ( operator error, thanks Raven ) it is NOT loud like this camera makes it seem... but considering it is an IB3 18 in a box off a $40 walmart surround sound in a box receiver, it's amazing. the sound is distorted and loud so turn your volume down! This one was supposed to show the drastic difference when I get into Listening Position #1 and 2 vs the center of the room...didn't work out that way, camera just distorts it all at 2:08 you can see the Walmart recveiver LOL then right after Bass I Love You actually gets t…

Assuming Both were ran in optimum ported enclosures, running off a SAZ-1500d @1ohms (i know way too much power, gain would be set correctly don't worry), which would you choose and why? Looking for more SPL than SQ, and this will be a daily beater setup. I'm looking between the upcoming sa-15 and 15" SSD w/BP power, I understand the sa-15 isn't out yet, but judging by the specs which would you prefer? Obviously the SSD is rated at 800rms vs 600rms for the SA, but it seems like the Sundown is very underrated... I think it would run at 800rms fine. So far the differences I can find is the 2.5"(SA) coil vs. 3"(SSD), the SSD has a slightly lower FS (29.6 vs 30.9) as well as …
