i currently have 2 sa-15s and want to upgrade. I want to know which one will be louder. i'm thinking either adding 2 more sa-15's and getting another amp or should i step up and get 2 sundown Z 15's?

I have a 98 blazer with aftermarket electrical system. I currently have 2 SA-15s running off of a hifonics hifi1500d. I'm wondering if i would notice any difference in sound if I added another sa-15 and ran a hifonics hifi 1000d on it? I want my system to be louder but not stupid loud haha any input on upgrading amps or anything like that will be accepted!

I sold my sa15s for $600 so it's time for something new. I need about 100 or the box so I have 500sih to spend on subs. I'm running an saz2500d what would you guys recommend as in upgrade from the sa 15s? or should I just rebuy the sa15s and profit a bit?

I currently have a single older model RE 12 in the back of my extended cab s10. It's being fed by a JL 500/1. I want to replace it with a single 15 and am looking for some suggestions. I have been doing a lot of research and am looking for everyones inputs. I would like to keep the amp, but would upgrade it if need be. I already have upgraded wiring, alt, battery so power isn't a problem.

I am looking to upgrade my alpine type r 12 inch subwoofers. I had came across the soundqubed HDS 300 d2 12 inch sub and had made my mind up until I heard about american bass xfl. My setup is a 4 cubic net internal volume ported at 32hz. Currently pushing 2 alpine type r with an alpine mrx 240 amp rated 1500 watt at 4ohms and 2400 watt at 2 oohm in a grand am trunk rear firing. Which would perform better with the given parameters? Can't find a whole lot on soundqubed, no box specs although the HDS 300 had really good reviews but so does the xfl. I have to electrical to supply the power for either. Which would be louder out of the hds300 or xfl? Any opinions would be great…

Hey guys, pretty new to this forum. I currently run a boston acoustic G512-44 off of a rockford p1000-1bd amp. It is in a sealed box and sound really good. I gets pretty loud, ok for my ears anyways, 120-130. But anyways, I was thinking about getting two Mach 5 IXL-10 BR woofers. My goal of this upgrade is to have the same great sound just add a little more oomph once in a while. I do not usually crank it all the time, but when I'm in the mood, I would like a more output. I listen to Rock/Rap almost all of the time, with some classic rock and R&B sometimes. Not sure whether I would go ported or sealed. (ported with the BR series of course) Has anyone used the IXL…

Yo.. As of right now I have 2 12" kicker cvrs and a 1000watt kenwood.. And frankly it's jus not enough. Im drivin an 03 Pontiac grand am..budget is not an issue I'll be puttin everything together over time.. I've been doin alot of lookin around.. I've set my mind on gettin 1 15" (daily driver) and I'm goin to upgrade all my eletrical etc . I'm jus havin a hard time finding my sub and amp.. If anyone could thro me some suggestions or maybe even convince me to go a different direction I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys.

I currently have a 15 in mach 5 ixl with a sundown 1000 watt amp. I have about a 3.5 cubic foot box with a port. And i recieved my email from SSA and saw the 15" icon is on sale for $295 and was thinking about upgrading to it. I really like my mach 5 because it hits extremely hard just for having one sub, it sounds really good with all types of music but i mainly listen to rap, and I was wondering if you guys think I should do the upgrade. I havent heard an icon and was wondering if it would hit harder and if there would be more positives than to negatives if I would switch subs? Thanks.

i have a set of Polk dxi 6.5 components in the front doors of my truck. I really dig the tweets and over all they sound pretty good. ive done a fair amount of deadening and sealing of the doors. They are being powered bye a jl xd400/4 gettin about 75 watts rms. Would it be worth a shot to upgrade the woofers with some thing with a little more extension? Mid bass isnt bad for what they are now,but could be better! is there any limitation of the woofer through the passive xover or does it just block bass from the tweets? An active setup is my ultimate goal so purchasing a better mid woofer is not a bad idea anyway. just wondering if anyone has upgraded a component woofer…

Hello everybody, I currently have a hifonics ZRX1216.1D It can do 1200w x 1 ohm or 600w x 2 ohm or 400 x 4ohms. I currently have a soundqubed HDS2.1 12" 600W rms subwoofer, I don't remember off the top of my head but I think I have it set up at 1 ohm. Anyway, I'm not sure If I should spend 188$ and get 2 600w rms dual 4 HDS2.1 12"s, or go with 1 SSA Demon 12" (dual 4 ohm) and eventually end up buying a second SSA Demon down the line. I'm starting to want to get into more quality built subwoofers over just cheap stuff so I really want to go with the demon but im not sure if its really worth it. hi everyone, i want to upgrade my current subs into something with more SPL, and SQ if possible OVERVIEW: -2 12" pioneer ts-W308D4 rated 400 wrms per-sub -Hifonics BXI-1210D, 1 ohm load to subs, so subs are seeing 1200 wrms, 600 wrms per sub -both subs are in a ported box that looks like this Dual ported sub box so which set of subs should i get that can actually take 600 wrms per sub? Starting from budget subs to higher grade? if i bought 2 kicker 08 CVR 15" to use for my amp, would my setup be louder and deeper than my 2 12"s? thanks for the feedback everyone

im running a 12inch icon at 1 ohm on a sd sax1200, ported at 32hz. im looking to upgrade for more output. the icon is amazing but i want to move a little more air. contemplating going to an xcon 12 or 15. i like the specs of the sundown x series also. i want something brutal! am i barking up the wrong tree with an xcon? do i have enough power to push one in a 15inch? lemme know what you guys think.

I am going over my system and trying to fix things up for more quality at higher volumes. at present i have a 2 way setup bi amped with an alpint 1" silk tweet and a 10" crachendo. so here is what im thinking right now: im looking at hertz speakers as we sell them at my new job and they sound amazing. so i can pick up a 2 way hertz (either 5.25" or 6.25") and get a new 2 channel amp for them. then i can run my 10" crachendos as mid bass speakers with high/low pass filters on my present amp. does this sound like it might be a good way to build a 3way setup with what i already have or would buying a already built 3 way (6.5, 3.5, tweet) from hertz work out better do you …

So i decided to upgrade my frontstage and ordered a sundown sax 100.2 off db-r, it does 100w rms x 2 @ 4 ohm and 200x 2 @ 2 ohm. Now im looking for some component speakers. ive never looked into good door speakers. i just replaced my stock door speakers with cheap 6x8 3 way pioneer speakers from walmart and was fine with that for awhile. but now id like to get something thatll sound better and actually provide some midbass. any suggestions and recommendations are appreciated, i have no experience with upgrading my front stage so any input helps. my budget is around 200, i can spend a little more if i have to. i think i want to run them at 4 ohms

It's funny how people used to like Treo subs just as much, if not some more than RE subs and nobody talks about them anymore. I'm thinking of upgrading my system within the next few months. I'm about to upgrade my subwoofer wire to 8 ga. from 14 ga. I think I know its real real small, but anyway when upgrading so I need to run the 8 ga. to connect the voicecoils also? I know I have to run the wire from the subs to amp but not sure about the voicecoils

I have some 70w rms pioneer 5-way 6x9s that sound decent but definitely not as clear as I would like. So I thought Id buy some quality 6x9s, Ive been looking around for awhile and none seem to come close to the Infinity kappa 693.9I 3-way speakers in specs. Anybody have any experience with these? im wanting to step my subwoofer game up to 2 nightshade 15's. currently i have 4 rockford fosgate p3 12's in a ported box tuned to 37-38hz powered by a sundown 3500. i have 2 interstate batterys in the back and an optima red top up front, 200 amp alt, big 3 in 0 awg, 1 run of + and - 0 awg to the back. all this is in a 4 door chevy blazer. right now my 12's are doing 147.2 at 46hz and they stay in the high 146's on music. my main question is if i upgrade to 2 nightshade 15's and put them in a 6.5 cuft box ported to 32-34hz, will there be an audible difference in sound? my good buddy brought up this point to me. i just want to be sure itll be louder before i go spend 1000 …

I was wondering what people thought about subs facing upward in a sedan trunk. I'm planning on getting a 12" icon but I wouldn't mind having the 15". Problem is that I don't think the trunk in my 97 corolla would be tall enough having the sub standing up. It would be going in a sealed box. I feel like there would be more trunk rattle if I laid the sub down. I see videos where the sub is literally firing into the trunk from an inch away. Would lying the sub make it harder to hear in the front of the car? It seems like there would be a greater chance for cancellation or the sound waves would just get bunched up between the trunk and cone. Separate question but i've always b…

i stopped at an audio shop ive gave a lot of business to and saw where they are now carrying dd and ia. he said he had a 12" ia lethal injection they used for 3 burps and said he would take 200 for it. im thinking i should give it a shot . . . any suggestions?

What would you pay for a pair of used but not abused 12" L7s? Im trying to sell my L7s but dont know what to put as the price. BOth are pretty much mint but 1 has a small scuff on the surround.
