Ok so im working on my box and i have the option to do 2 8's or 1-12" aero port for my box. Im not sure which will be the better way to go and i know they equal roughlly the same thing. This is what im looking at. -2 Soundqubed SDC2.5 15s -Enclosure will be 8 cubes(4 cubes per sub) @ 40hz either way -Power for now 1600 rms(will soon be about 3k before rise and voltage drop aiming at 1k per sub) Ports: 2 8" Aeros - 100.48 sq inches / 8 cubes = 12.56 sq inches port per cube 1 12" Aero - 113.04 sq inches / 8 cubes = 14.13 sq inches port per cube The 1 12" will give me alittle more port per cube then the 2 8"s, also ive always seen and been told that less ports are more e…

i got a punch he from a friend of mine today in pretty good shape but im having hard time of finding some good solid info on it i saw somewhere it was in the category component on one site not sure what that means since its a 12 inch subwoofer. im trying to find what kinda box i need to use stuff like that. i know its not a very powerful sub and it being a 8 ohm it is hard finding an amp to match it.

I was just wondering what are some of the best ways to keep impedence rise down. I have read that it doesn't matter much in daily but I don't see why that is true, unless it is only a db or so difference. Are there box designs that make a difference or cooling methods?

Im looking for all m5a subwoofer specs (sead/vented) on all there subs we arnt too sure what to go with yet but need to know volume (and yes im kinda noob at this) were would i find more info on bandpass's and these subs? thanks for any help

well my original plan was to get two FI BL 15's, and i have ordered one and i am using it now and i really like it but my girlfriend wanted a sub just like mine so i have to order two more subs and due to the fact that im going to have an 8 cube box i think im going to go with two FI BTL N2 15's instead, running on a crescendo bc5500 instead of the bc3500 and im going to do the big three with a 270 singer alternator with an overdrive pulley then an xs d3400 under the hood and i was going to have a single d3100 in the back but im guessing ill have to add a second one, and the box is going to be tuned at 33 hertz also. gonna make the little colorado FLEX! I really wanted to get a Fi BTL 18" subwoofer for use in a car and possibly other various occasions. But I took a trip over to Guitar Center and tested out the JBL MRX518S. I was amazed with its volume and clarity. I have never heard the BTL so im curious if it can get louder/sound better than the JBLs even if it is not in a car. If anyone knows anything that would be a great help. Thanks. Also I understand that they are not really similar speakers, and I plan on using it more when it is not in a vehicle.

i need alot of help... I have a 2001 toyota avalon xl with the JBL upgrade with 2 type r's in the trunk connected to a kicker zx1000. My stock sub just blew and i want to get new speakers for the interior.. Does anyone know what size i have in the front and rear, and what is a good setup for both? Also any way to replace the factory amp too? if so what brands? I have no idea how much power (RMS) the stock speakers are already so if anyone knows that, then that will be a big help cuz i could try to see how powerful i would want to go... its alot of questions, im a noob wit this stuff to be honest...its my first car and first system thank you

Im really considering these subs. I have a 12" Fi/SX hybrid right now and am looking to get 2 10's instead. Im contemplating 2 soundsplinter rli-10's, 2 Fi SSD 10's, or 2 Lv3 10's from DC. What would be the recommended box size ported for 2 of these 10's? I'll be powering it with an ED nine.1 Also what would be the total price for 2 Lv3 10's shipped to 70051?

lol silly question but do the IXL series (12" to be more specific) have mach5 printed on the dust caps? Cant remember where, but I've seen pictures of the IXL's without mach5 written, on the internet On your official website it is printed on there except the 15" & 18" so just want confirmation, also do you send out stickers when purchasing your subs?

Alright, the other day, just messing around with my subs(SWS-1023D's in a "folded horn" box), i decided to run one of them reversed with the other one regular. also in my adventures, i placed them in the far back of my trunk facing(subs and port) towards the cab. I was suprised when i cranked the music and heard not only an increase in SPl but also a better SQ . Now being the Noob that I am, im curious to why this resulted like it did. i tried searching other forums but failed to come up with any useful information. and if it is a simple explination, why wasnt it set up like this when i had installed? OK... got a recone for my SPL-15 motor but I have some questions. They might seem dumb but i have never done a recone so i have to ask. 1. the Spiders on the recone are smaller than the original and do not sit in the same spider landing... it does seem to fit fine a couple landings down though..? this OK? 2. the coil from the recone is much short than the oginal as well...? 3. I didn't get any shims/spacers or whatever you want ot call them...? what should I use? pics are coming... When i ordered it, it was suppose to be run on a 4Kw @ 1ohm, now it will be on a 2000D @ 1ohm instead...

I have an RE SR 15" that I acquired in a trade on CA.com and I was wondering if I could put ~400-~500WRMS safely to it, with out burning up the coils? It's a 2.65Ft^3 box tuned to 35Hz, and I was thinking it would get a little louder off of 300WRMS than what it did.

How do the speed nuts get used properly? Do they attatch to the metal frame of the door and then the screw goes thru it or do they just lay flat against the metal frame and the screw goes thru. Clockwise or counter clockwise ?

I need to bring my brahma back from the dead, its been sitting in my garage for over 3 years now (adire audio is no more) and i finally have the motivation to fix it. Where can i find a kit to re-cone and will the replacment effect the xbl2 technology or is that built into the sub itself. Id also need new tincle lead brakets (the things the leads are slolderd too marked + - ) a nice torque twist set would be nice. idk help me out ppl

I am going to install the wire for my amp now so I can have a better idea of placement in the back of the expedition. Do you think that will be enough in feet to get from battery to back of truck, I'm going to measure tonight to know for sure but just to see if anyone else has done it. Also what fuse should I get. I'm also thinking of replacing the battery in the truck to something else... any suggest…

i have rockford fosgate phase one 12 inch subwoofers 8 of them in a 16 cub ft box im trying to get them to hit low and hard they do hit very hard and loud!! but when the songs go to the low bass it drops out they are ported 6 ports 4inch by 3inch deep the ports are all on the front side with the subwoofers thats what rockford gave to me they say that will tunes them to 37hz but it sounds like they are tuned to high and out put around the 50hz and lower drops off and i dont get that lower end that shakes the car and flexs the car just trying to get my point across on what kind bass looking for please help me

I need to find a negative push terminal... The original wearer of said broken terminal was a diamond d1, I am not worried about it matching, unless Scott, or when I call heather at TC sounds will only sell them in sets. I snapped the terminal right off of the basket, but they are more of a bolt through design than actually being part of the basket.
