basicly i want to build a box and i cant find any info on how to tune it. what i want to do is have round not square ports.

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding ported enclosures. I currenly have 2 Dcon 12s in a ported enclosure, 1.75 cubes per sub tuned to 33hz. The box was made by a local shop and fits my trunk like a glove. The guy at the shop measured my trunk and that's what fit. The dcons pound for a pair of 12s being powered by only 500 watts. I'd really like to upgrade my output by getting an Icon or Xcon 15, but height size it wouldn't fit which poses my question, how would an up firing subwoofer enclosure sound in a trunk compared to the sub facing the rear? I'm pretty confident an up firing box wound fit my trunk. How would an Xcon sound in 3.75 cubes ported to about 33hz?

Anyone have any experience with there products ?

Well I am currently laid off work so I told my wife I would add some bump to her ride. Seemed easy enough at the time. Then I started shopping around, and now I am losing my mind. I have looked at so many subs I think my brain is going to explode. I'm just wondering where to start. I would like to run 2 12's ported if possible, if not Ill drop down to 10's. Rough dimensions are 32Wx15Hx?. I can probably go wider, but just a starting point. I decided I will build a box for the first time so whatever I go with hopefully someone can help out with a good box design, or point me in the right direction. Does anyone know the actuall physical dimensions of the crossovers for the 302's? Or the 327's for that matter. I have a piar of 302's ordered but am thinking about switching to the 327's if I get am email back from Nick. I am currently beginning work on my amp rack and would like to know the dimensions. Specifically the l x w. Anyone help out here? I know a few of you guys have the 302's. Maybe Sundownz or Nick can throw out the dims for the 327's. Thanks, Jim

Hey guys, I have an '01 sonoma reg. cab. I'm looking for some opinions on what subs to run in it. I have roughly 1.67cf internal space to work with. I'm leaning toward a single 10 ported, but I'm open to suggestions. The sub(s) will be seeing around 1000-1200watts total. I'm more of a spl than sq guy so I'm thinking ported is the way to go. Also, I'm 6'-4" so leg room is nice to have. Anymore than one or two clicks and I'll be eating the dash. I've thought about a blow-thru, but I've had them before and really want to try and do this without cutting up my truck. Thanks in advance for your input. -Lee

Does anyone know the displacement of this woofer? Only reference I found was on the preorder page which mention 0.16 which seems low. Thanks.

I got a American bass hd2500 I was thinking of picking up a gcon and running it at 2 ohms I've got a custom built box here at 2.3 cu ft air space and tuned to 33hz will it be enough box or would it be better to get the icon.

I want to get one of these matching passives for my tc10. Do they really live up to their hype? If any of you guys by chance happen to have have one and are interested in selling, I would love to take it off your hands!

hi was wondering if you all could help let me know what type of box this subwoofer woofer would sound good in i haven't been able to find to much literature for it online or anything . and i didn't want to go out and purchase the wrong style box or one that maybe to big all help is appreciated

I'm getting 2x DC Audio 15" LVL4 XL's for my '91 Acura Integra.... My plan is to build a 7ft3 box tuned to 30hz and fire the subs up (closer to the front of the car..about where the back seat would normally be) and the port up (closer to the rear glass)... I'm gonna push em with 2x Hifonics BRZ2400.1D's @ 1ohm.... my question is kinda simple... more or less, an opinion from experience... has anyone ran sub up, port up...and if so, how did it sound? I always ran sub up, port back or sub back, port back... this is my first time firing both up. I'm thinking it should hit nicely off that hatch. Just wanted to get experienced opinions. Thanks guys.

Hi all, thinking adout useing two T3 Audio Ts 12s412 for spl, before I buy them I need some feedback. Thinks for any help.

Its for spl only. I have about 6.5 cubes to work with, its for 2 15'' d2s. I want it ported and tuned to 45 hz. i want massive port area and have 14 inches of depth to work with. Any help will be appreciated, i want to put up some big numbers for SI!

What is everyones opinion on a dc audio level 4xl?

Anyone familiar with elevation audio's Execution 12's or 15's? how good are they when compared to either DD 3500,RE SX,DC lvl3 and 4 etc(you catch my drift) in terms of street bass and possibly building a vehicle for bass boxing purposes?

I have heard that the newer xxx's seem to perform well in small sealed boxes, but am looking for some one with experience. I'm really into low end and sq. I currently have a 4 cube box tuned to 36hz w/ 3 4" aero ports that is doing well, but the sq end is not all there. The vehicle is a 1999 toyota camry. thanks for any help!

Right now I have an Icon 15 in 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz being powered by a JBL GTO 1201.II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms and it sounds good. How would a FI BL 15 sound in my current box with my current power? I know they get louder than the Icons but do they sound good? If they have decent to good SQ I might want to swap in favor of more output, that's if my amp and box would even be good for the BL.

i know i might sound like a true newbie but when ordering a 12" icon, whats the difference between the dual 4 ohm coils and single 4 ohm coils options? which one do yall recommend? any input would be appreciated
