Hi Guys I live in Houston and I'm considering buying some magnums but I would love to hear them first. If there is anyone in the Houston area that would like to meet up with me to let me hear their Magnum(s) I would really appreciate. I just joined this board but I've been posting on caf, sin and the 12volt.com for a while. feel free to shoot me an email and I will be glad to give you my phone number. I would really like to hear one or two of the subs so I could make a decision on what to put in my car next.

A friend has some subs that suffered a poor recone job by their previous owner. There are gaps (air leaks) around the surround that I want to seal. It looks easy enough to do from the back, just peeling back the surround and dropping a bead of glue in. The question is what kind of glue do I use, and possibly more important, where can I find it? The only glues I actually have already are CA-based "super glue", various "goop" products, and 2-part epoxy glues. I want to buy the right glue for the job however if there's something better I can use. I also need to glue the dustcover, which is peeling off.

Hey guys, new to the forum here and i've taken an interest in Mach5 audio. Unfortunately I went to the website to browse around today and it seems like the website is down. I was just wondering if this is only happening to me or is the website really down (Mark did state on the site that he'll be on vacation, maybe that's why )

So I have read around a little and I have talked about it before, I need a mid-bass/woofer that can do 50hz-100hz/120hz just as loud and viscous as my 15" xcon can hit 30-50hz. I have run across the Aurasound NS10-513-4A 10" which seams like it may work, but I want more opinions. It can be of any wattage, it needs to be 10" or smaller I'd prefer a 8" but i'll do 10" if it is what it will take to hit those db's, and the enclosure whether it is ported or sealed needs to be less than 1 cu ft. I want great punch, I want to feel the drums in my chest, my old sub (kove armageddon) could hit these notes at around 135db and i miss the feeling of it.

Is there any easy way to get rid of small dips and valleys in the surface of a fiberglass box besides just gettin' at it with a sander? I just about have the whole thing covered with Bondo body filler and am working it over with my Mouse sander. I notice there are some small dips or valleys here and there (actually all over). If I try to get each individually, it will take a lot of time and I am concerned with the body filler hardening before I am done. Should I just mix each batch in very minute quantities? Is there an easier way that I am not noticing? Anyhow, back to the sander it is. 90 degrees outside and I am in a garage with no fan. Damn addiction.

I am more of an SQ guy, but now I have my D2's I am curious. My set-up is all about SQ, I don't really have the amps to spit out SPL figures, but to those that have or know of, what sort of SPL are we talking about with a set of either 12's or 15's,, I mean has anybody burnt a set yet while spanking them.. and how hard were they been spanked.. I love mine too much to chance it but it would be nice to know what has been done so far.. TIA

Does anybody know if the 302's crossover can stand up to being mounted in the door? They will not be exposed to water or whatnot, but will they survive the opening and closing of the door on a daily basis? Just kinda had a thought about how to install them.

Do I need two terminal cups for a DVC sub? Thanks Well, I might as well ask my other questions while I'm thinking about them. If I'm wiring a DVC in parallel, how do I connect the two terminals? Can I just twist the two wires together and run that end into one terminal, then the other end into the second terminal? And on that same subject, is it good/bad/ugly/no different to twist both ends of the speaker cable wires together, to make a bigger wire for each terminal? Hope that made sense.

Hello everyone! I just bought an RE SX 18" sub from a friend. Unfortunately it has a blown voice coil. Is it possible to acquire a recone kit for this sub? How much would it be shipped? Thank you ahead of time!

Mark, I am looking to build a 2 way bookshelf for personal use and just for the hell of it. I want to use SB Acoustics SB29 Ring Dome Tweeter and was wondering how well you think the MLI would mate up with it. Anyway, any thoughts you have are appreciated.

I have an Atomic APX 818 motor (3" coil/ newer motor with a bumped backplate). Needs a recone, anyone ever reconed one with different parts than atomic? I'm looking to build either a 15" or 18" that would do well on 1200wrms daily on music. (amp is an AQ1200D) If any dealers read this or anyone who can build me a recone feel free to send me a PM with a quote for both a 15 and 18. Looking for a loud daily sub. Dual 1.4 or similar coils preferably. Thanks!

I am about to install 2 18's in the back of a Gmc Sierra Ext. Cab. I will be taking the back seat out. My question is should I have the subs and port facing up or Subs facing forward and port up. I was told to have the subs facing forward and port up but I would like more opinions on this. Thanks,
