Hey guys, yes, what's minimum port area i can use for 4x RE SX 12" in 8ft^3 tuned at 33hz that will sound good? I was thinking of 54in^2 of port area (6x9 )I know it's small but i've seen some car that have small port area and sound good like Steve Meade Tahoe i remember that he had like 20ft^3 and 120in^2 of port for his 4x 18" and that's like 6in^2 for every 1ft^3, and mine is like 6.75in^2, now what do you guys think, will it be ok or bad for the SPL and Port Noise? the 4x SX 12" I'm planning to power them with 2x USAmps MD-3D, now how you guys compare this sound with 4x DD3512e power by 2x DD Audio M3? Hey guys, I've noticed some companies offer neo subs and there're priced really high compared to the other higher model subs they offer. For example I was looking at the D.C. Lvl 5 and 6 and I saw the D.C. Neos. They were higher priced but the rms was lower than the lvl 6. So I was just wondering what warrants the price mark up. Are they under rated and offer a lot of pros or something ? I also seen that fi audio Btl neos subs and they look hella sweet. And the price is reasonable. But yea I tried to search the pros and cons, and all I could find was the weight and I think cooling or something like that. Figured I'd ask I'm sure someone with a lot of knowledge would…

I have 2 15" MTX thunder 4500's running at 4 ohms off a memphis 1000 watt d class. I was riding around town today when I noticed a remarkable difference in output.. I checked the subs when I got home, to see that one had NO output at all.. I took the sub out to look at it, and the voice coil seems to be "seperated" or torn away from the spider.. Is this the reason that the sub stopped working, and is it repairable? It's not a major concern, I only had these subs as a temporary fix until I order my 15" Fi BL. bought two brand new from here there incriminator i series 10's have 2 days of low volume... running them at 2 ohms off a sundown sae1200 gains set right... today well playing at med lvl it started to sound off so I turned it down got home to see what's up... one sub has a odd rattle pulled out of of the box shake it sounds like something's loose and rattling the other ones perfect they ohm out to specs

I'm thinking about switching components. Hybrid Audio sounds what I am looking for. Anyone have experience with them and want to give me some output on them. It is a passive setup BTW.

I was just wondering what a good price was for these two of these, because i have seen a couple people trying to sell used ones for 250 each plus shipping and then i was offered two lvl3 for 350 shipped i was just wondering if i just got a good offer for the lvl3s or if the guys was overpricing the lvl4s thanks for all inputs

i just picked up an extra 4ohm mj18 and i guess i will be throwing it into my tahoe....since i have a little room to play with i was wondering if one of you guys could please give a good box recommendation for this sub or is the standard 4.5 ported all i need....i would like to have the sub and port facing in the same direction because i just like that combo a lil better....thanks

hey all, i just signed in w/ the forum. actually, what i wanna know is what size sub/s is best for my application. first of all, i plan on purchasing the Pioneer Premier TS-C720PRS comps powered by the Zed Audio Gladius Burr Brown amp. has ne1 listened to these cause i agree the front stage is the most imporant. im building a SQ system for my 02 dodge ram single cab. so, air flow is a prob. my friend says that a 12 would be too big, but does it depend on the mounting depth + box size? I love subs like the crystal cmpx2 that they only make in a 12 and 15. even if say a 12 would fit; would it be too much? he also said 2 8's is best for sq but idk how. i realize sq is subjec…

Its taken a while but ive finally gone and bought the T20001BD and i got to say it really looks the part!! Now im trying to work out which subs are as hot as this amp looks. I was really interested in getting a Fi mainly because ive heard so much about them on here and watching all the insane vids u all put out. They really blow u away! ok. as most of u know i have my 1 12" orion hcca in a nice custom ported box. and i love it. BUT my 1 12 doesnt sound like the good ol way 15's sound. and we all know how 15's sound. low and powerful. latley, i have been eyeballing the sundown audio SA 15's. i would do 2 on 1800 watts and possibly build a wall in my ranger for them. i havent completly decided. what do u all think???? should i stick with my 1 12, or go for the 2 15's???? i have a feeling that my 1 12 will be louder but it dont have the hard hitting that 2 15's would. WHAT TO DOOO

I wanna know when you are supposed to re cone a sub woofer ?? Is it kinda just a feel kinda thing like pushing it up down and guessing if it is to loose or to go on guessing how many hours the sub has been played.

When does the size of an enclosure start to be too big and start affecting performance? The reason I'm asking is because I was thinking of using the current box I have (it's for a 12") and building a faceplate for it, so I can fit a 10" in it. The box 1.21 cubic feet. I was looking at the 10" Icon, but after displacement there's still about .19 cubic feet extra. Is this too much extra volume?

where should i put my amp (zx1000.1) on my car, should i put it on the box (Fi Q 12") or should i mount it on the side of the trunk?

I'm looking for a set of Rainbow CAL 28 tweeters. Does anyone have a set they'd like to sell, or can point me to a place where i can buy these? I have plenty of references from sounddomain.com and ebay.

I was wondering if there was anyone around that can recone 6.5in mids? One was defective when I recieved the set and the store I bought it from wants me to uninstall the entire comp set and then pay to have them warrantied (not happening). Anyway, I haven't done much research so if anyone knows anybody who can do it then great. They are the mids from the Cadence CWM-6KIT. The recent ones, they're all over eBay. Thanks in advance.
