Haven't had a sound system all winter and I'm ichin to get back into the game. I'm gonna be picking up my 10" d2ohm XCON pretty soon and since I haven't done a 10" build yet I was lookin for some ideas/pics/thoughts and or some nice build logs featuring a ported 10. I think imma do sub and port up leaning towards sq. Supper pumped to be back....its been too long

I have a few questions about how to obtain the sound I like from the equipment I have: -Avic D3 head unit -PRS 720's speakers running passive off a JL 300/4 -RL-p12 w/ 1.35 cu ft sealed powered by a JBL 1200.1 ...and I have an 06 Silverado ext cab I have been running this set up for about a year now and I enjoy it but I feel like I could get more from it. My complaints: The factory Bose front and rear speakers really filled the truck with sound. Now with the Pioneers (only having front speakers), the truck doesn't sound as full, if that makes sense. I mean that I can hear the music coming straight from the speaker as if it were a direct line to my ear rather than before…

Im thinking of purchasing the SA 8 v2 D2. But I dont want to lose my whole trunk I have a Forte Koup and only want 1 8'sub. would this work and be satisfied with its performance?

Someone local to me has an enclosure for sale with 2 ten inch oz audio subwoofers in it. They are a red cone with yellow writing in them. Does anyone know anything about them? I can't seem to find anything. All I can get is info on the matrix elite, power, vector(purple), and old superman logo sub's. Thanks in advance for any help.

Im about to sell my two z 15.s and I was wondering what will be some good subs to replace them with that's along the same price range?

I have 2 Rockford Fosgate rfr3110's and Im planning on building a ported box for them both but I want to know the difference between separating the 2 subs to one sub per chamber (2 ft^3) with 1 square port each OR having both subs in the same chamber (4^ft3) with 2 same sized ports. Basically, I have the size and dimensions of the box ready to draw up, but should I have a divider between the 2 subs in the box?

well i am going to build a couple of twelves here in the next couple of weeks, and i was trying to find a couple of threaded adapters that tc sounds used for these type of top plates. and of course i just can't find any, except for robot underground, but he wants 80 bucks a piece so i got with our in house machinist and made these up. they are designed to be a interference fit that way when mounted sideways they won't shift from the weight. the id is a couple hundredths smaller than the threads on the motors. i will have to make some 1/4-20 guide rods out of 3" bolts to align the adapters, because they will have to be heated with a propane torch to expand them first.

I am thinking about finishing up my system with a new sub setup. I have moved from the overpowering bass to appreciating all the ranges of music. Right now i have a 12" SSD copper coil sealed. It sounds great but am wondering what other choices I could get for greater SQ and that could get lower. Would stepping up to a 15" sealed Q or Icon dig lower and sound better? Playing with a 1000rms. I want the sub to compliment and add that lower depth. Mids are Sea Excel's with Sea tweeters.

Hey guys, I am looking to get alittle advice on a sub or subs for my truck. 2007 F250 HD crew cab with bucket seats in the back. (daily driver) Right now it has a Alpine 7in touch screen Multi Media head unit, Alpine 4.150 running Alpine mids and highs and also running one 10in Fosgate P2 in a .53 cuft sealed box behind one of the back seats facing forward. It sounds good and very clean but the one sub in that little box just dont cut it for me. The last real system I had was 2 15in Diamonds in a big sealed enclosure down firing into the spare tire well of a Lincoln Mark 8. Dodge charger trunk, here are the options, Im also open to anything somebody else could recomend. 1 dual 12 box about 4ft cubed, or 2 12 inch boxes about 2 - 2.5 cubes each ported. Subwoofers im interested in, GCON, or SA12. (or a subwoofer not much more than $200 each) Amp, a 1500rms or 1200 rms. I listen to mostly rap, heavy bass songs, and some dubstep. What should I tune my port(s) to? I was thinking 32hz What is my best option here? *My original idea was 2 seperate 2 cubic foot, 32hz boxes pushing 1200rms into 2 SA12s.*

So I finally am buying some decent subs and I bought two level 2 15s I have a 05 scion Xb with the back seat in it still I have modeled up boxes on Winisd it's my daily driver but I also go to spl comps so I want it to play loud and low. I was wondering if anyone had experience with the JL Audio Stealth Box or similar products. I am considering a stealth install in my 07 Tahoe, with this as the possible cornerstone of low frequencies. I am also considering Diamond d661s component with the silk vs the aluminum tweeter. I plan on using these in the factory locations 6.5 mids in the doors and tweeters in the A panels ie the factory locations. I've got a 2000 Dodge Dakota Club Cab. I was wondering if anyone has any idea how much air space I can get under the rear seats? I don't have a problem ripping out the jack holder, storage tray, etc, but I really don't want to do any kind of modifications such as lifting the seats and such. I did find a Q-Logic enclosure for a single 8" sub that is .35 cubic feet. I know that MTX makes Thunderforms (or whatever they are called now) that hold 2 10's, but I'm having trouble finding what kind of airspace they run. These were just for references. i was thinking rockford fosgate power 6.5s 2 sets of them fiberglassed in the door panels powered by my apline headunit with the alpine powerpack i can get them for 90 a pair so if anyone knows of better for cheaper or the same price them let me know

Friend is looking to buy a sub to put in the back of his Chevy Tracker, with a buget of $100. His goals are strictly output. He wants it loud... He has no idea what SQ is, so that's not an issue. He had 4 12" Wal-Mart Duals at one point and swore they were the best sounding things on the market. He listens to nothing but rap. I will be building the box, tuned to ~33hz for his musical taste. I'm not exactly sure the max volume I can get away with back there, but I know it's not much. I'm guessing a 12 will be the biggest we can go and still remain in optimal specs. I am driving a 2006 Dodge quad cab pick up and need suggestions on speakers. The head unit will be an Alpine 138bt and I just bought a Zed Leviaten. I am waiting on a Fox acoustics 12" sealed box with probably a PowerBass 2X subwoofer going in. The truck currently has Polk Momo 6.5(rear) and 6x9(front) in the doors. I like listening to Rock, slow jazz and acoustical music. I'm looking for some tips as to whether I should keep the Polk, run the sub off the Zed or get another amp for the sub. So I have a 15" fi Q with a 1500 watt clarion amp in my accord, but im looking to trade in the q for something else. I can not afford a new amp, or any electronics upgrades, so 1500 @ 1 ohm is my max power. Im tired of the q because i have almost no trunk space right now and it makes grocery shopping for 3 or 4 people kind of difficult. Im not sure if it would sound good in a 3^3 ish box but FI says it can be from 2.8-4, but something new is always fun so ill probably switch out. I want to stay as close as possible to as loud as I am now, and want it to sound even from low lows to higher lows...(my 45-60 response is rather weak right now but i think its because its a 4^3 …

Simple question here how much can a vvx 8" handle? I know it says 400rms but for those who own them would I be able to put lets say 600rms for daily use? And how good are they?
