I was wondering if I purchased 1 Fi BTL 15" if it would hit harder the 2 Type Rs and what would also be a good amp to power the Fi BTL or would 2 Fi BL 12"s be better then the 1 15"

I have had my cut out cones sitting outside since last year, out in the rain snow and sun, and the only thing that has happened to them is the cones on a few have turned white. The paper cones are still solid, foam surrounds are all good, glue holding them turned white but not loose one bit. The coils havent rusted, the coil glue hasnt let loose... they are just the same as when I cut them off other than bleeched. I have been impressed every time I look at them, so the other day I was having fun and displayed them on my porch. Hey guys i'm playing with kerf port design. But i'm clueless on how big the kerf needs be, compared to the size of the port. The port i'm using is 2.5 x 37.5. Should the kerf be the the same size as the port width or half the port width? Here is the design so everyone can see how i'm tring to get the kerf.

Im going to replace the stockers in the womans jeep commander. shes got 6x9's front doors and 3.5 in dash and 6.5 rears. going to do minimum of 6x9's So im pretty set on Morels. im liking the pricing on the Maximos Maximo Any experience or reviews of these or this line up from Morel? or Morel co ax in general All speakers to be run off stock head unit, No amp for the time being maybe one later

i was just wondering....i haven't thought about audio for a while but i got to thinking today....what's the best box for my application? Right now my Mag !2 us un a 1.9 tuned to 29 hz box...sounds great.....but it would be cool if i didn't take up so much space in my trunk....so i was thinking sealed....but the thing is i only got about 450 watts going to it from the rear channels of a RF 800.4....i figured the ported box was best but i was wondering with the power I have what ya'll have done. So, I have a newly acquired ep3 (Honda Civic SI, 2002). Audio system is completely stock. It has a set of tweets 1'' above the dash, and two pairs of 6.5'' speakers in it. I believe i should be getting a component set, and leave the rear stage for fill, and only get fronts. So then I could get some nice stuff, but mind it has to be within the power range of the CS60.4. I'm new to component sets, although, I know rainbow has some nice stuff. I have had weird issues off and on with my amp (teac 200.1) and my components( phoenix gold radials ran passively). little things like sounding muffled at start up in cold weather. I bought the amp on here a few years ago for $15, so no big loss. The other day i was involved in a fender bender and the power wire from the front battery to the back came undone. I didn't notice this until a few days ago. The tip off should have been that the sound deteriorated over the course of a week . Yesterday I took an old speaker and some wire and tested the amp and rca's for a clean signal. Left channel is dead and right is static-y. I said screw and attempted to run my components off…

I just wanted to know, Is there a way to calculate how much power handling drops below tuned freq in a ported box. And how much power handling drops in larger ported enclosures, Other than win isd. I mean is their an actual mathmatical formula or no? Like for example I have 2 Fi Q 15s with BP power in a box that is 9.5 cubes gross 8 after the port @ 33 hz. How do i figure out how much power handling I have in this size of enclosure and how much it drops below 33 hz? Or does everybody pretty much play by ear and listen for bottoming out?

Well i just found out how simple it is to lift the rear seat of my truck which will give me chittons more airspace. HOORAY! Here is a potential box design i will use. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/genera...r-seat-box.html With that down-firing design I would get approximately 1.55 ft^3 before sub displacement per sub chamber. or about 3 ft^3 for total airspace. If i reworked the design and made it up-firing, it would bring the total enclosure volume to about 3.6 ft^3. So with that amount of space to work with, I want more SQ than SPL but still like to bump from time to time. I used to have 2 RE se12s sealed.(Loved em). I listen to all kinds of music. Just trying to see how you guys think 3 10"xcons would do in a 4th order that is 2.2 sealed and 4.5 ported before displacements. I know a lot of thing matter but The reason I'm asking is because that's the box I have my 15" zcon in . Its ported though the rear deck with removable port ( could make any tuning that would be good for the xcons) but not really wanting to do a new box right now cause its built in the car and I'm wanting to get louder. Loudest so far has been 145.6 and cant seem to get louder. .... would be at least doing rms. I have ho alt. 2 runs of 0 .close to 300ah of batts. lots of deadener .. let me know any questions you may have. Thanks

I'm familiar with the braxial speaker system from CDT, and that's what I want for some rear fill. Are the CDT's any good? Are there other brands that have models with the same format? I'd like to have the tweeter mountable on the mid so that it all fits in the factory door spot, but I want to be able to adjust the tweeter. I almost always have to dial the tweeters down to -3db for my preferences. Hence the reason I don't just want coaxials. There's a chance I could do regular components and just put the tweeter next to the mid, but I'd like to see about this first. I'd also preferrably not like to pay the $450 that they want for the CDT HD braxials.

Alright folks my friends 200 watt fender bassman with a single 15. is extremly louder than his 2400 watt power amp running 4 15's. i think the poblem is in the amp the amp runs 2x1200 watts at 4 ohm. and the speakers run at 1200x2 at 8ohm. so i tried to run the amp mono to one speaker 2400watts at 4ohm to a 1200watt 8ohm speaker, that made it worse they didnt even get louder than a voice. the amp should be able to turn all the way up but it starts to blink the "im about to blow up light" at about half volume. what is his problem? help help help help help

Hello everyone, I'm trying to repair my AA Mayhem 12. My leads broke in the middle of the spiders and I'm not sure how to get to them so I can solder them. Does anyone know how to disassemble a Mayhem or got a video on how to do it? Or does anyone know an easy way to get at the leads? Thank you, Brad.

Hello, My FI neo 4.x 15" will be arriving soon and I'm trying to get some ideas for the enclosure ill be building. I was thinking around 4.5 cubes tuned to 30-32 htz with an 8 inch versa tune aero port. Going to triple baffle the box and have some internal bracing. max dimensions for my GTI are 30x28x28 Still new to car audio so id really appreciate if someone could verify that the enclosure im building would sound good. my sub is the neo 4.7 15" with an extra spider and omega coil, yes i know i should have gone with the 4.9 oh well... thanks
