As far as sheer linear displacement (Xmax x Xmax x Sd) does anything have more Vd? I know there are some other very nice drivers such as the TCSounds drivers that have 38mm Xmax... what other drivers are in the same arena, if any, if not, whats closest?

have you ever thought about offering the mj's in diffrent sizes. its an incredibly priced 18 but not everyone has room for and 18. i think they would be great budget subs. they have decent power handling and xmax so it would be a great alternative to the over-hyped type r.

So I'm running an Xcon 15 ported in my daily driver right now. I am thinking of picking up 3 SA-8s to put in a new project car. What type of output difference is there gonna be? This is strictly for music, I just don't want to be in the daily, then hop in the show car and think "This sucks!" Both cars are big Cadilllacs. Any input?

So here is my situation I have a Sundown 3500D in my car. It is a BMW 328i with factory everything. Im trying to jump on the sale and buy either an XCON or a ZCON. However, what is stopping me is the rated power. I plan on getting a single 12". It will, of course, be powered by the Sundown 3500D. Because it will be just one subwoofer (due to trunk space), I plan on getting a Dual 1ohm voice coil (so I can get a final load of 2ohms). My question is, should I proceed and get the XCON (which at 2ohm, will be fully powered @ 1750 RMS) or get the ZCON (which would be underpowered considering its rating is 2250 RMS and I would only be feeding it 1750 RMS). I'm torn between an HDC3 18 and a UFO 18. Will be in 8 cubes with 1500 watts. I like the lows and sound quality doesn't matter too much for me.

Ok guys my big build (to me) is finally in the works. I have begun ordering and need some advice on my front stage. My car is a 2004 Scion xB. Not a lot of room in the doors as they sit, but I'm prepared to modify the panels to get the sound I want. As of now I'm running a Pioneer DEH-X8600BH head unit (which may change to a double DIN before it's over) so I'm not looking to run active. I just want to get a front stage that actually has some bass to it. Right now without the subs running it sounds like total crap as there's no bass whatsoever to these Polk DB6.5s. ummmmmmm ya here ya go. For earth shattering bass you can't beat this custom made 60-inch subwoofer which has the ability to produce SPL levels above 180 dB. So I think this has been asked before but I'm not sure my search worked well enough just found 4sale stuff with it mentioned... My Xcon was in extra awesome condition.... Found out that today my father was moving stuff in their garage and boom he calls me to say he thinks he hit it with a piece of plywood he was moving ... There is now a puncture/tear about 1/3 of an inch maybe less.... What can I use to fix it/glue it? I know I don't want to "melt" the surround material with normal glue but what should I be using? The subwoofer won't see any action for a while so cure time is no issue..... Let me know.. Sad that this fcking subwoofer was sitting in that garage 8…

Whats goin on guys. I have yet to experience a mag in person but im already convinced that i want a couple . Now i just have to wait for them to come out again. Im planning to put them in the rear-well of my '95 camaro ported. Not sure what size enclosure or tuning yet though. I will be powering them w/ a Orion 1200d @ .5 ohms and 14.7 volts. Im hoping around 800+ per sub. Just wondering what you guys rec'd for a VERY loud daily as i know i dont have to worry about the SQ...ITS A MAGNUM B) Not sure exactly how many cubes i can squeeze out of the back, im guessing around 4.7.

I have my front stage running active with my 9886, h100, and mrp-f250. I currently have Focal 165a1 speakers installed. 6.5" in the stock location in the bottom of the doors, and the tweeters in the dash reflecting off the windshield. I'm not happy with the sound currently. I'd like to find some mids with better midbass, less harsh tweeters, and put my tweeters on axis. I'm new to the world of buying seperate speakers. I looked on madisound and found the Vifa BC25TG15-04 and the Scanspeak Discovery 18W/4434G-00. What do you think of this combo? I'd leave the mids in the doors in the stock location, and make a pillar pods for the tweeters on axis with the driver's seat. I…

looking for suggestions for a sub n amp set up for $500-700. got a '01 expedition.3rd row removed. i've only had a single 15 before so that's what i been considering. listen to rap/hip hop only. going for spl not sq. want the biggest bang on my budget. some have told me to consider a 12 in place of the 15, but i want to make sure i can still get low and loud. thanks for any help.

I was drinking my coffee at the local install shop when I noticed this 10" woofer install in a Ford F150 this is with out a shadow of a doubt the worst sub install I have EVER seen if you can top it show the pics...LOL..

As some of you know I installed this 10" rockford T2 a few weeks back, wasn't that impressed at first and then i started to like it. anyway, i just picked my car up from the dealer, first thing i notice when i turn on stereo is NO bass, i stop to check all the connections, settings, etc. the basics. everything looks good. get home and put the DMM on my rca's and i can see the amp is getting signal. check the wires coming from the sub. no reading at all. so i'm like WTF and i pull it out of the box. there are NO signs of any kind that would indicate damage. rockford does a pretty good job of concealing all the important parts of their subs, but the portion of the VC that …

Hi, I'm building a box for a 15" BTL. My concern isn't neccesarily the box, but more technical things rather. For example I would like to know how much wattage/rms I can pull from having only one of the 15's. What would be the best way to eliminate distortion when running the speaker? I plan on running a xover so besides that I need help. I'm selling most of my old handmedown stuff and starting fresh.
