After sitting here looking at a XXX with a broken basket. I decided I wanted to make another 1 of a Kind woofer. And let me say this beast wangs. XXX motor with lots of custom labor and a LOT of work to cross-breed an MT and XXX the following pics are the results. And Here is the LMS for specs on this woofer.

First off I know the coil and magnet gets warm when driven hard, but right now it is hooked up in my house to 250-300 watts rms, and I was watching a tv show at half volume, and I need to take my sub out afterwards because someone bought the box it was in, and i felt the magnet and it was luke warm. I am just wondering if this is normal and, if it gets warm at low power, how hot does it get when its driven at 1800rms for long term, in the car??

alrighty lets try this again.. earlier i noted that i was looking for new 6.5 mid drivers. luck as i would have it my drivers side 6.5 went out the other day... so ive been looking around and the cadence cwm6 componets have caught my eye. however, im not entirely sure if they will fit due to the size of the magnet. aswell as depth... here is what i have to work with... here are the window tracks that make me question if they will fit.. just shy of 2 1/2 inches and here is the MAX depth before the window.. just a little past 3 inches with spacers maybe its possible to push the speakers forward? it almost seems i have about 3/4 of an inch to push forward.. i want to …

im looking for some idea's on what would be the best type of basket. what is the main job of a sub basket besides holding the sub together. give me the flaws of basket designs and what would you do/need to fix them. im looking just for the perfect basket design, so all you guys that know the ins and outs of a sub please reply with your comments... thanks jamie

What is peoples opinions on it, and where do you find the specs on it?

Two 12" RL-p's (ported) or two 15" RL-p's sealed. I am planning to do a 1.5 cube ported to around 32-34 hz. The two 15"S will be in a 2 cube box. I will buy tonight, weather/internet connection permitting.

hey guys i need some ideas i was going to run an 18in solo x in about 9cub box tuned to 35hz on a daily run and ive heard storys that the solo x cant really deal with daily pounding so i need some ideas on someother subs that will put me in the same range in output as the solo x and just a little bit better SQ then what the kicker puts out any ideas??

I'm torn between an HDC3 18 and a UFO 18. Will be in 8 cubes with 1500 watts. I like the lows and sound quality doesn't matter too much for me.

I'm happy with my current setup, but I think the imaging and midbass could be improved. Are NASTY. Ive only had them in for a day and i will do a proper review, but i just had to say Ive NEVER heard a more accurate, brutal, or precise subwoofer in my life. Im amazed with only 1 hour listening time. Keep it up SSA. WOW Edit-My suv hates me now im pretty sure.....

Let me start by saying that in no way, am I bashing this sub. It is god like compared to the mainstream brands I have always run in the past. whatsup, i got my new viper 1200d in and when i open the box my jaw dropped, its such a sweet amp. i went into the garage and made a simple amp rack out left over wood. turned out pretty good wutchu guys think? maybe ill get a spot on SI's website in the demo section!

Wassup everyone??? Im in the process of getting two 12" SA-12's... I want to port them.... but dont want to take up the entire trunk in my car (Looking @ a 2011 Dodge Charger). Per the info I copied below ... it says I can go with 1-1.5 cubes per sub but I just have to tune higher. Can someone tell me what the optimal size would be 1.25 or smaller per sub and the port area and tuning frequency I listen almost exclusively to rap music... Please assist! I'm thinking of just scratching my previous posts and might go for a single 15 ported. I want a loud setup with good SQ. You all probably know what amp I have by now (JBL GTO 1201.1 II puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms). I'm having a b!tch of a time picking a 15 being there are soo many good ones. So far I want a 15 that'll sound good, get loud and drop low in 3 cubes ported. So far these are what I'm trying to decide between. I know all probably sound good but which would get louder? Crossfire vr 1000d???? Heard good things about it. Do not have any dealers near me to check one out. What do you guys think of this amp. I also have heard some good things about the nine 1. How are these two amps. I am looking for something to power either a tc2000, rl-p or oz matrix elite single sealed 15. I have heard these where both all around solid amps. Here is a couple of my new subs for my new build! TC9 motor based custom "Chuck Norris" woofers! Good for about 2K a pop and they should MURDER the Lows! The others arrive tomorrow! Can't wait! Ok so I will be getting an 18 soon, still debating whether an AA SMD or an SSA XCON (The SMD is like $400 more, idk if the gains are worth that much) Anyways, before anything I know I need to have my electrical ready so here comes my question. Right now my Ford Expedition is 100% stock. It only has a 2000D powering a Pioneer 12inch sub with 1000watts RMS. I know the Big 3 is A MUST HAVE. But, do I need a new alternator? Do I need a new battery? Do I need more than my stock battery? The reason to ask is because if I get the sub + the enclosure, I will most likely have no money left for a new alternator or new/extra battery. And hopefully the 4gauge that I have right now wi…

I am looking into getting some new subs but I am stumped on what to go with. I want sq over spl. I would need 2 12's that would go in a sealed box. I also would be running from around 1000-1500 watts. My bugget is $500 for both subs. I have looked at the fi q, si mag, re se, rd classic, and infinity perfect. I could get each company new except for the si mags they'd need to be used for my price. If anyone has any suggestions please respond.

Whats goin on guys. I have yet to experience a mag in person but im already convinced that i want a couple . Now i just have to wait for them to come out again. Im planning to put them in the rear-well of my '95 camaro ported. Not sure what size enclosure or tuning yet though. I will be powering them w/ a Orion 1200d @ .5 ohms and 14.7 volts. Im hoping around 800+ per sub. Just wondering what you guys rec'd for a VERY loud daily as i know i dont have to worry about the SQ...ITS A MAGNUM B) Not sure exactly how many cubes i can squeeze out of the back, im guessing around 4.7.

I am switching sub sizes and I am going from a 18'' to 10''. I have seen people build custom subs with different motors and baskets. now my question is will any basket fit on my motor with out any problems? I have 2 18'' hdc3 audioque.
