Subwoofers / Speakers

Has anybody used these? Interesting specs - XBL^2 motor design, copper coil, 3 shorting rings in the motor, high xmax. You can pick two of these up for $519 plus shipping(?). For car audio use they look like they ought to be good SQ subwoofers with good low end extension in the right enclosure.

I'm torn between an HDC3 18 and a UFO 18. Will be in 8 cubes with 1500 watts. I like the lows and sound quality doesn't matter too much for me.

I know a lot of you have been VERY VERY eager about the status on the up coming batch of 15's and the overall status on the potential for 8" drivers in the works.... News of both will be short coming and very very exciting...Whether it be Nick, or any of his representatives including myself, we will do THE VERY BEST to make sure you guys get wind of this info ASAP....plenty of room on any sort of pre-order or waiting list...no need to panic.... I'm buying new speakers for front stage. I'm pretty set on getting alpines to match my power pack. I've been looking into the Type R 6.5" components but I was wondering if it's worth it to spend the extra money to get the Type X. I've heard good and bad about both so I was wondering if you guys had any personal experience with either one of them. Thanks guys

Need to go behind backseat of 03 F250 Crew cab. ive got about 5.25 inches of mounting depth. im gonna put either 3 of the tw5's or Fosgate P3 shallows, or at least 4 of the SA8's. which sound will sound fuller and less hollow and weak. im used to always having at least 2-6 12's or multiple 15's or 18's. got a new truck and trying to downsize but get the best and most out of it

I am looking to piece together a component system which will consist of Mach 5 MLI-65 mid-ranges or AA polys between those 2 for mid bass. For tweets I am looking at Seas H1396 or Vifa D26nco5? I will probably go passive then active when I get my Sundown 100.4.... So whats the better tweeter between those two?

Hey everyone! So my dad leased out a new 2012 Fusion Sport and has had it for about 3 months now. We were talkin about selling my trailblazer and i just take over the lease! He's a great salesmans at Hines Park Ford in New Hudson/Milford, Michigan and he can get a demo that the dealership will pay for. Also if you want a ford go to him lol. Well I get back to the house and see a package at the door and I think "sweet! The second Mag came in today!" Well I get up to the door and notice that it is not our specific box (we have all drivers packaged and shipped a certain way in certain boxes). The box is oblonged shaped with scratches, dent, and scuffs all over it. I take it in the house and this is what I see (pics below). Fedex apparently played football in a concrete parking lot with the drivers motor and then threw it in a random box with no packaging. Who do you think makes the best component speakers for under $800 (maybe up to $1k if I have to) and where can you get them. I've been looking at making a set using CDT drivers which would be the ES-06 with the braxial tweet along with the upstage kit that has the DRT-26 tweet. I'm sure there must be many different brands to choose from but I haven't really been keeping up with car audio. Some brands I've also heard of and are considering are Focal, Hertz (no idea who sells these), Morel, and Boston Acoustics. I need a 6.5" set to go in the doors of my 350Z. Hey guys..forgive my "noobness" as I am pretty new to car audio. I am checkin out some comp sets and such and am curious about a couple brands. Are Polk or Pioneer Premiums any good? I really have no clue. Thanks

I am switching sub sizes and I am going from a 18'' to 10''. I have seen people build custom subs with different motors and baskets. now my question is will any basket fit on my motor with out any problems? I have 2 18'' hdc3 audioque.

So yesterday I was coming back from college and on the way I was blasting my music like everyday. 10 mins before I got home, I noticed there was no lows No burning smell at all. Which was weird... Today I checked and the subwoofer is not playing. I checked the speaker wire connections, nothing out of place. So I decided to use my DMM and read the coils, since I pushed the cone and it does not look or feel blown at all. I used my DMM and both coils give me no reading. 0.L on the DMM. I checked the coils and nothing seems burned, broken, out of place or moved. I have no idea what could have happened to the sub. Any ideas?

Ok so I will be getting an 18 soon, still debating whether an AA SMD or an SSA XCON (The SMD is like $400 more, idk if the gains are worth that much) Anyways, before anything I know I need to have my electrical ready so here comes my question. Right now my Ford Expedition is 100% stock. It only has a 2000D powering a Pioneer 12inch sub with 1000watts RMS. I know the Big 3 is A MUST HAVE. But, do I need a new alternator? Do I need a new battery? Do I need more than my stock battery? Hello everyone. It`s Marcos from the U.K. The only person in Europe (as far as I know) who is using the new 15" Magnums. I hope you guys can see these photos. Last time I was on here I had difficulty in doing it. Anyway. Here goes. Starting out: It looks like a house. The baffle is in. And look what`s going in it. 4x 15" Magnums 3x 6" Aeroports. how would component sets sound mounted in the wall behind me? in the wall will be 3 15" mts. i already have 2, im looking for a third. this is kinda what im going for(dont care about SQ really at all lol)

I have been runing 4-sundown sa-12 in my 98-explorer in a 7.6cf net box with a 110in of port on two AQ-2200 straped at 2 /// I just sold the box and subs to a buddy of mine and am thinking about runing 4-12'' Gcon with the two AQ-2200 in 10.1cf net with 4-6'' areo ports tuned to 32-33hz Are i was thinking of runing 8-10'' Dcon with the two AQ-2200 in 10.1 cf net with 4-6'' areo ports tuned to 32-33hz that would give me 113.04in of areo port with that box. what would you get? I want something that can scare my friends, will be mounted in w holecab early ford bronco. I'm going for dual 12's just gotto find out which ones for amps I figured i would get dual hifonic brutus 1500, one for each so I can run 1 ohm I'm not going to compete, but I hate the damn sound of my single 12" lanzar (yeah ) hitting the max. i have a fi bl 18 with the hyperpole and flatwind coils and i want to get loud but deep loud not a high tuned loud so would any one like to share there opinion on if i should get another fi or get 2 aq hdc3 18s and sell my fi or does any body have any other suggestions to get

would the single 18 btl be louder then the 2 se 15"s ?? or will the 15's cone area make up for the lower rms ?? sorry im still kinda new and not sure how i would figure something like this out

what you guys think? what kinda boxes do MAW-15 or MJ-18 need? can they take more than rated power daily? heres what i have to work with.
