i have a MB Quart dsc4125 4 channel amp that i want to bridge down to 2 channels to run my ID XS65 components. off my head unit i have 2 sets of rca, one set for the "Front" and one set for the "rear" my question is how do i get the signal to be stereo and not mono? i hooked up the rca's like i normally would.. i put the "front" rca's on channels 1 + 2 and the "rear" rca's on channels 3+4, i switched my amp to 2 channel mode, turned it on and the signal was mono (i could tell because i used a song that usually has the left speaker playing in the beginning, but both were playing) how do i plug in my rca's to make the signal stereo again while still being bridged?

Hello, I just purchased two DD 1508's and am going to be putting them in my 1987 single cab toyota pick-up. I am short so it allows me to have my seat pretty far forward and I can get quite a bit of room back there. DD suggests that I put them in a ported enclosure and tune it to roughly 38 hz. Has anyone experimented with 8's and know of a better frequency to tune them at? If not I will just go with the 38. Next, I couldn't find an exact xmax on these but after reading around I discovered its about 15mm so on my port calculator it suggests I use roughly a 4" port at 20.5 inches long if I am putting it in a 1 cubic foot box. My main questions are these: will 4" pvc pipe a…

Ive been doing some research on some 8' subs with about a $200 budget and was hoping for some suggestions. I've mainly had my eye on the new alpine's since I can get them about $90 a pop. If anybody knows someone that is selling some 8's for sale in a fair price range, or if the sundown SA-8 by itself could topple most 8 inch couples then that input would be handy as well. Secondly, I hear its quite difficult to make a screamin ported box for this size of sub and was hoping for some direction here as well. When I look at youtube videos I see ports that are sometimes much bigger than the box they are in alone. =/ I've fooled around with WinISD pro alpha version, and pu…

So since I am going to be finally putting in the saz2500d, I figured it was time to put new subs in! But the question is which ones. I like the zcon's and they can handle 2500 each. But the sundowns can handle 1500. My box is 4.75^3 tuned to 36hz. Finally got money to get the d3100 and. Already have the 0gauge to wire it. Any suggestions?

Wow, Sorry for the blow up on my last post lol I was trying to find out a little more about the SSA woofers. I read great things about them on these forums, and what Fi has to do with manufacturing couldn't matter less to me. I joined this site after I placed my order for my SSD 10s. I was really not familiar with either companies, but I just happen to stumble across both brands while looking for drivers for my new vehicle. Now, all that aside, not looking for another locked topic. My original questions was how the new G-Cons would compare to the SSD drivers. I know they are new, and there prob isn't much for customer reviews. My main question I was looking for was where …

Similarly priced, and somewhat similar specs. How do these two woofers compare?

I compared a Gcon 15 and an SA15 and found something that sparked a couple questions for me: 1. Is there any simple reason why the Gcon requires a 1.5 ft^3 bigger than the SA15 to achieve the same curve and... 2. Why is it that the Gcon's curve is not a smooth curve in the same box? I know they're different drivers and will perform differently in different conditions, but more in depth, or rather, the science behind it. Could I just not know how to use the program? lol

I recently picked up a 2006 Pontiac GTO and it has a weak factory stereo. It comes factory with a 6.75" sub in the rear deck, but it is just terrible. I want to replace it with a nice 8" woofer that is still free air capable. I am not looking for something that will be just as loud as possible, I want something that sounds clean, since this is still my daily driver and I just want it to sound good. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks

A friend of mine has just sold his 3 sets of Focal 6.5", and he wants to run P A speakers to be louder. He runs an Infinity amp (4 x 125 w rms @ 4 Ohms) and don't want to change amp or to add one more. He was going to get Beyma speakers (the pro series I think) but he wants to know what else can he get ? 2 sets of 6.5" speakers for the front doors. Nothing in the rear, except his 18" Soundstream XXX in a big ported box. He want something that can be loud but with good midbass. The tweeters will be a set of Beyma available locally: they get sooo loud ! He looked at the sundown neo pro, but never listenend to them. Is it a good choice over the Beyma ? What other options can…

Hey guys i was just wondering what you guys thought of the I.D.MAX-D4 or the I.D.MAX-CRD4? they seem like they are pretty good subs but im not really sure how they would be. I really like I.D., i have some 6.5 components up front and they are amazing. i have them running off of a sax 125.2. But i dont really know anything about their subs. Im in the market to upgrade my Sub. I have a dual 4 12" Alpine type-r running off a Saz 1000d. I really like the Sundown subs, and SSA subs, but want to get some opinions on the I.D. subs if anyone has any experience with them.

Today I pulled out my 3 way Dynaudio 362 set today and I see that I have one tweeter blown. I don't know that I want to spend $300 on a replacement set either. I didn't love them that much. lol I am going to run passive as I have the 3-way passive crossovers and dont want to add all the extra amps to go active. I am trying to keep this to a minimum both with weight and equipment used. I am going to put the 8" woofer in the door and 3" mids with 1" tweeters in the kicks. I found that worked better when I was passive on this set so thats where I am going to start first. The passive tweeeter is a second order @ 3.5khz (12db), the mid and woofer are first order 900-3500 (6db)…

i have 2 15" Sundown sa-15's in a 7 cuft box in a 1998 gmc jimmy. i'm running a hifonics hifi1500.1 amp. I've seen people with the same subs, same brand amp(but smaller) in very similar vehicles do much better hair tricks than i can achieve. Any suggestions on how to increase mine? I love to show off my subs and this is a fun way to do so!

I have a 4 channel amplifier, that's 2ohm stable when bridged. It gives out 4x140 @ 4 ohm and 2 x 360W @ 4 ohm. I'm going to use his amplifier to run a front stage and a small subwoofer in the rear. Is it possible to use one 4 ohm DVC subwoofer and connect each coil to their own speaker terminal? Would the result be the same if I just bridged two of amplifier termials and wired the subwoofer to 8 ohm?

I have an old RE 12 that I had no Idea what the model number was and so forth so I emailed some pictures to the Fi-Recone email. They informed me that it is the SE series and RMS's around 600 watts. What Recone kit would be best for this subwoofer and would it be cheaper for me to purchase the recone and do it myself or just send it in to Fi? Your help is much appreciated, I know there is a probably a lack of information but that is about as much as I know about the subwoofer.
