Subwoofers / Speakers

I just sold my hdc3 15 and Im wanting to upgrade to either a zcon 18 or warden 21.I would be buying the zcon brand new or the warden used for around the same price. I just dont know if a warden sounds good on music. This is going in a 03 trailblazer. I have a crescendon bc2000 for now to use. If i get the warden then ill have to run it at .5 ohms because its a D1. Im going to buy a xs d3100 to add to my deka 9a31 if i go that route so my electrical will be good. So I just need to know if the warden will be good for daily? If you need more info please ask. Thanks!

k, so my friend just told me that she will let me plan, order and install her new system for her (which, as would be for all of you, is very exciting for me) currently she has 2 Kicker CVR 15's in a crappy prefab sealed box im not exactly sure of the amp she has, but i would guess a kicker 1000.1 (or whatever their 1000 watter is called) Goals: she wants to be loud and sound decent, but definitely more SPL than SQ no competitions, just daily Budget: this is my favorite part. her exact words to me were, "well, i dont want to be in debt for like $5,000. but...." so i dont know exactly what that means, but she has some money to blow now, my first thought was to do 2 12" BL'…

Between two 15" CVXs or two FI Qs. Do you think that off the same power, 1000 watts each, both in a ported box in the same vehicle, (tahoe), which do you think could get louder? I know it depends on the install but they're basically going in the same setup. Which do you think would get louder and sound better doing it? I think it would probably be the Q but I havent heard either.

I'm in the market for a new front stage and I'm thinking about trying a component set. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop, sometimes dubstep. I'm looking at the Incriminator audio 6.5" components because they seem to have some good feedback and well in my price range. Would you guys recommend these to me? Or anything else you guys recommend? They will be in stock door locations. The 6.5s in stock location and tweeters in stock a pillar locations. Will be getting clean 100rms to each side. Gains turned down. I'm not too familiar with comp sets and what to look for. I'm just looking for some good SQ with some loudness. Thanks for your help guys. Sorry if what I've posted …

I was looking to see what some opinions of each of these, or the goods and bads of both, i will be running a audiioque 2200d amp, in a 2 or 2.5 cube box, in a daily setup so which would be a better sub? And does fi have any kind of warranty at all?

ok so i have a rockford fosgate power hx2 in a 4.6cuft ported at 40hz. my saz1500 is on its way to db-r for repair. well i got this sub bnib and the only amp i've had on it is a bazooka 500wrms mono. for like 2 months it was wired at 1ohm.well the amp is only 2 ohm stable and it decided it wasnt gonna except the 1ohm load anymore. so its at 4ohm now which would be around 250wrms. i've read and heard that u can underpower subs but read alot more that that is b.s. well the sub is rated at 300-1000wrms and i've been thinkin bout this alot. well i took my ol' lady to work earlier and im hearing what sounds like sumthing againts the box rattling. my box is mounted where my bac…

I am Thinking about reverse mounting 2 FI BL 12's and was looking at some researcha bout wiring and reverse polarity and what not. When i mount them in reverse should i reverse the polarity aswell? ???

Just got my GCON 12" am running a decent set of BA components up front and I now notice a gaping hole in midbass The GCON gets lower than I expected and the BA's are super crisp and clean on the highs but what can I use to fill the midbass? I am looking at the PWX or NeoPro 8" or 6.5"...which should I go with? I was leaning toward the PWX because of the price but I will only have around 100RMS to work with and the PWX are rated 200RMS! Will they sound good with 100RMS? any other suggestions, or is the NeoPro my best bet?

Well...I've never heard the SI Mag D2...but from what I read it sounds amazing. Help me imagine it. Compare the sub to an IDMAX or SoudSplinter rl-p or Alpine Type R or 12W7. Thanks in advance...I look forward to the replies as I am a bit excited by what you may say about it.

As stated i just got back my 2007 Fi Bl 12 from the kid i sold it to a couple of years ago. He said it was blown so i went and picked it up. Come to find out one of the tensile leads was broken at the connector and the coils both read perfect. Coil still looks great and suspension is still pretty stiff. My questions are: 1.) Can i lengthen the tensile lead with shielded 12 gauge speaker wire? 2.)What How much would a complete recone run (psi or fi)? 3.) Once i fix it how much could i sell it for?

I started a thread a couple weeks ago but I butchered my questioning so bad that I wasn't able to get the response I was looking for so I'm gonna try again. Anyway, what frequency is the foot pedal of the bass drum typically played at? If possible, I'm wanting my sub to maximize that frequency, as I love the short kicks in the back of my seat, and minimize the other frequencies of the long bass notes that, when played with too much volume, drown out my mids/highs. I have an RL-p12 in 1.35 cu ft sealed w/ a JBL 1200.1 (1200wrms). I'm willing to build a new box if need be. (2x) Quad L5 Kickers in a 24cu.ft @ 18Hz, For Stage use. Could use L7 or Solo X! Oh yeah, No SoloX in 15" size. But for the L5 with 3,000w@2-ohm x2 with Peavey IPR 6000. Talking weight here so will be rolling Quad Subs. Let me know whats on your mind good or bad.

I'm going to be mounting subs in the quarter panels of my 06 GTO. I'm looking for 10's to go in sealed boxes .7cu ft or less and no deeper then 5.25". This has been done with success by other gto owners. I'm not looking to hear the downsides of the placement. Here's a pic of where they are going. Any suggestions are welcome, I'd like to keep the price under $350 for the pair of subs.

I am planning on working on my front stage to get ready for my system how does a $1000 budget sound for 4 speakers, 2 tweeters, amp wiring, head unit, and maybe even crossovers I may be able to pull a couple hundred more dollars but if this budget sounds too low then what am I looking at paying. I am hoping on saving money by just buying a good amp at a low price so what kind of amp would be good at about 60 watts x 6 at 4 ohms. I was looking at Boston components but only crutch field carries them and they dont have that great of a selection of them so what other brand is good I don't need attached tweeters I have a place for them on the doors.

Does SI have something up their sleeve on the component side? Something like the RE XXX6" in a 3 way comp system?

Basically I'm stuck trying too decide on what subwoofer I'm going too choose based off space in my car. It's A 2008 Scion Xb I Wanna Keep The Rear Seats Dimensions Are 38x38x16 Im Not Bias On Any Brands And Open Too Any Sizes Just Wanna Get As Loud As Possible And As Low As Possible. I Already Have Mechman Alt Installed 0 Gauge Ran Big 3 Done And Yellow Top Under The Hood And A Hifonics BRZ2400. Budget Is About $1,000 For Subs. Thanks For The Help

This is setup temporarily until I make another box. Still working on another 4th order I just wanted to see how this huge port performs. I posted a buildup of the port over on caraudio.com. It's 10.75" internal diameter and it flares out to 15.5 on the large flare and I don't remember the smaller flare. Finally got the electrical system where it needs to be...HO alt, 3 new batts, and new amp. Here's the pics! It moves a ton of air. Juice Box is an awesome song to play

Plan on sellin my btl 18s..and I ran into a lot of money recently.. Which subs should I go with. Will be walled in a civic 2 21" ia wardens. Or 4 15 btl n2s look at sig for rest of setup
