I need help. Im looking for 60% SQ 40% SPL. I want it to get loud but still sound good. Which is better for this. I was looking at a cadence txa-1000d and a sundown sae-1000d amp. From what i have read most people pick sundown hands down. Would ~650 watts push a soundsplinter hard because it says 500-1000k rms on the website. I'm open to suggestions on amps. I'm just trying to figure out which is a better sq sub at the moment. And this would probably go in a ported box ~1.5 cubes @ low 30's.

Still tossing around ideas on the new setup... Any 18's out there that can take 3500 daily and sound good in around 4-5cuft?

Just tryin to see how close the two are. the Mag will be n a 03 chevy impala in a 2 cubic box tuned to 32 runnin off a sundown 1500d the rf punch hx2's are in a 02 chevy impala in a 3 cubic sealed box runnin off a rf 1501bd Just see if the mag can get as low and loud as the Hx2's?

hello everyone i was wondering if any of you may know of any good sites online that sell just the mid bass drivers in 4 " i have a nice pair of tweeters up front but i wanna change my door speakers that came with the car to some mid bass drivers. it seems the car came with component set speakers stock but who ever own the car before took them out and replace the door speakers with 2 way speakers and upgrade the tweeters and i would like something with a lil bass in my car so it wont be so flat.

I have been in contact with many, many companies over the last few weeks. Companies that sell drivers, customize them, sell just parts, repair shops, you name it. No one has surrounds capable of more than 55mm one way. I keep getting told excess of 30mm Xmax is easy, 10" and 11" spiders not a problem. But surrounds. Surrounds is the issue. So then I emailed many, many, many companies looking for just surrounds. Stone walled. I am willing to pay $600 per 18"... either 4 for my van, or 6, 2 more for my home theater. $3600 for 6 18's. Ok guys here is the deal. I am putting together a system for a buddy with a budget of $800 for sub, amp and seperates. Details: 2004 Hyundai Sonata Source- Alpine INA-W910 4- Channel- Diamond D3 500.4 He WANTS rear 6x9's and 6.5" components for the front. I narrowed it down to: Rockford T1693 & T1652-S or Alpine SPR69 & SPR60C Now, for the sub. He is going to buy a Diamond HEX750.1 (1 ohm stable). My debate is going with either 2 12" DCONS ported or 1 12" GCON ported. Space is not an issue and I will be building a box to suit the needs of the sub. Any reccomendations on the sub choice or components???

I hope its alright to put this here, since it is the SI forum and I'm part of SI and I'd really like somone that's a big time SI fan to get these. Your chance to get the only set of 327's ever built. The mids alone in this set cost nearly $200. These things have been lightly used and I'm selling because I simply don't have the room to put them in kicks. The mid is a 6" with a 1" textile dome tweeter and custom built/hand assembled crossover. Looking to get $250 plus shipping for the set.

I know this will be mainly opinionated, but i am wondering on what you think would be a good step up from a 12" w6. I love the sound of the w6 but i want it to be a bit louder with the same quality. Hello everybody. I'm trying to build a small, powerful setup in my 2016 Silverado doublecab. I want to run 1 woofer. Breaking it in on ~2400 rms, then linking another amp going to 4800 once I finish the electrical. I'd like some clean sounding air movement. Not super into high notes, but I'd like to be able to hit the full range and then go down low with extreme authority. I'm looking to run this sub in a ported box as big as I can in the space I have, 2 cubes or less. Open to aeroporting. I dont care if they are components or coaxials but im getting a sundown sax50.4 but i need door speakers ill take any suggestions the amp does 50 per 4 at 4 ohms or 80 per 4 at 2 ohms. Im trying not to spend more than 100 maybe 125 including shipping. All input is welcome thanks

Wassup all. I was thinking about revamping my car audio and one thing I would love to change is the driver in my sub stage. I have limited access to very few mainstream drivers like Kicker and RF. Both of them have some decent stuff but way overpriced and I have noticed most of them are pretty boomy and lack definition. My goal is to be able to tell the different notes apart and have the ability for multiple simultaneous bass lines to be distinguished so you know they are playing. Hey guys, about a year ago i built one of the blueprint boxes from adire audio, the largest one they offerd im not sure exactly what it was im thinking the spl box, its the one were the driver is down firing and theres a 15" PR in front(the ebs box?)? well anyways i had some bad luck with my shiva and it wasnt working properly, so now im looking for a replacement and i stumbled upon this shiva-x. If im not mistaken Kyle Richardson your the same person that was with adire right? if so im sure you will know what box im talking about, or if anyone else knows thatd be great also. Just out of curiousity, which would have more output with 1000 watts? I know both have great SQ. 1 Icon 15 ported or 2 RL-i 10s ported? Each setup for a LSQ setup, not a SPL or SQ setup.

i still have two new Sundown Audio SA-8v3 subs left over from a previous project. i would like to re-purpose them for my daily driver which is sq focused. can the SA-8 be musical ? if so, how do i accomplish this without switching them out for something different. Sundown website states sealed enclosures are not recommended. local dealer tells me that once you port the SA series, they become more spl oriented subs.

2005 dodge ram 1500 I have this massive triple sub 10", shared lower vent, chambered box 16.5x20x49(with port).... port size is 2.25"x49"x12.5". I have 2 alpine swr-10d4(1000rms-3000peak), and one swr-1043d(600 rms-1800peak). all were previously ran in parallel @ 1 ohm (i think) going to a rockford fosgate t1000.1 power series. Suprisingly it hardely even got warm and pushes them hard. BTW!!= I just yesterday wired in my red top underneath my back seat and i have that wired to the bullz audio 2f cap=> everything wired to that...(i have a normal stock truck battery up front) My questions: 1.Is my port the right length?(can it sound better if made longer/shorter/complete…

I HAVE a set of discontinued Morel Integra Ovation 6 or 6.5" coax (point source) speakers. I had them installed in a vehicle I sold years ago but snatched them out of the car before letting it go. So I have had these put away since ~ '09ish I am virtually positive that there is a built in crossover in the back. There is a small plastic disc that simply peels off the back and I see what appears to be a capacitor or resistor whatever, among other stuff. IS THAT THE XOVER? your input is greatly appreciated and will keep me from pulling my hair out.
