I have a Soundstream Reference class A 10.0 amp and 2 Rockford Fosgate P4004 Amps to use in my 2012 Tacoma access door truck. I want to put a 8 inch woofer in each back door I want to replace the (6x9) speakers in the lower front doors and replace the tweeters in the upper front doors. So what would work best with my amps? Total I need 2 (8 inch) woofers for the rear doors : Brand ? watts RMS ? 2 ( 6 x 9) speakers for front lower side doors: Brand ? Watts RMS ? 2 ( 3i nch) tweeters for the front upper side doors Brands ? Watts RMS ?

I just got a old kove audio Armageddon 15 in Sub and can' find any information on it deas any one know the specs and watts/rms

Hello all. I can't remember for the life of me but does a coil impedance tend to rise slightly or fall slightly after a sub has broken in. Planning my second sub soon and the first was supposed to be dual 1. Showed up with one at 1.4 and one at 1.6 brand new. Last i checked one was a 1.8 and the other a 2 Kinda confused me as I had ordered a dual 1. Dc offers a dual 1.4 and I wonder if they hadn't sent me the wrong load to begin with.

So this happened, I'm new this, still learning, but is there any way to fix this or do i just have to completely buy a new 12? What caused this just so i know because i don't want it to happen again.

Thought I’d share a few pics of the DCON’s I was originally running. The original subs we used in the Traverse after I got the rest of the system installed. They were originally ran on a Zapco Z-1KD but after a fateful incident with an open sunroof during a rain storm it had to be replaced. I had an Arc Audio XDi 2000 sitting in the closet and the only amp I had that remotely fit in the amp rack. The DCON’s were dual 4 ohm and wired to 1 ohm on the Zapco for a very reasonable 1,000 watts to the pair of 400wrms rated subs. Hello all. Need some assistance. I have a 2011 Lexus GX 460 with Mark Levinson sound system. The system sounds great except for the sub.I have pulled off the back panel and reveled that the factory was a 10" sub. I currently own a Alpine PDX 600.1 I will put that behind the panel and will replace the sub run a LOC. I checked the factory sub and it was 8 ohm surprisingly but know if I replace and wire up a replacement sub it will not give me what I am looking for. I previously had my PDX 600.1 running a JL Audio 10-3v3 it does not fit its around 6" mount depth. That sub in a small sealed box rocked and am looking for something similar in the factory location. Okay so I just got a sundown ev3 10 installed in my 04 accord coupe. I had a box custom built for it. The box is my first ported box so Im just wondering if this is how it should sound or not. I noticed while playing a few songs that the higher notes that my sealed setups hit well weren't really being played by this sub. So I found a test tone sweep that swept from 25-150hz and played it. Sure enough the sub falls on its face around 50hz, whereas the sealed sub in my gfs car doesn't start to die off until around 70hz. I destroyed my tweeters and need help choosing on a replacement. I can see some of my ignorance on the install also, such as poor aiming. So I am hoping to learn the rest of the tricks to installing tweeters. The tweeters are Seas 27tffnc/g. They sounded very clean and sterile, and I cant say I ever had a complaint with them. I feel what i was lacking was more due install perhaps. That and my listening style. I do 90% of my listening on the highway with the window down. Thats NOT going to change. So the speakers in my 04 Accord just arent cutting it. I had them sounding good on rap, country, pop, etc but when it came time to play bands like a day to remember or wage war they just were super harsh. So I played with the EQ today and had to basically lower all my settings to make it bearable on the kind of music. It still sounds pretty good on other genres but just not as loud as before. In the past I have always ran coaxial and it is what I prefer for ease of installation. I've also in the past used the HU to power them. The amp will do up to 550wrms @ 2ohm so i'm looking to find a subwoofer that will do well with that power, and would obviously need to be single 2 ohm or dual 4. Hi guys, I am putting together a SQ system for the wife. She just got a new truck, which is a 2005 Nissan Frontier with a crew-cab. I plan on purchasing a head unit almost entirely for bluetooth capabilities. I have narrowed it down to the Kenwood KDC-X501 (120 USD) for its ability to connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at once and support of aptX. This will allow minimal audio fidelity loss when paired with an aptX tablet. (tablet not yet purchased) The tablet would be used as a source for Spotify premium and navigation through Google Maps. Ok so I see a lot of conflicting answers regarding a small box if you plan on over powering your sub. Be believe in it, others say it's a lie. My question is if you're gonna over power a sub. What would be considered smaller ? I'm thinking about 2 15s. They call for 3-4 ft3 but I'm thinking of putting them in a 5 ft3 box. After displacement and port. Im looking into the sp4v2 and putting them on a hd8k. I know they are underrated. And the taramps is over the rms slightly. So I wa wondering if this will work out well. I HAVE a set of discontinued Morel Integra Ovation 6 or 6.5" coax (point source) speakers. I had them installed in a vehicle I sold years ago but snatched them out of the car before letting it go. So I have had these put away since ~ '09ish I am virtually positive that there is a built in crossover in the back. There is a small plastic disc that simply peels off the back and I see what appears to be a capacitor or resistor whatever, among other stuff. IS THAT THE XOVER? your input is greatly appreciated and will keep me from pulling my hair out.

I have the opportunity to pick up a pair from a friend of mine. These are supposedly team subs. I think he said they are the xs v2. I know they are massive. And one has the spider that separated from the edge. But he said I could have them for $300. I cannot find any information on the 10inch version. Is this a good price? And does anyone else know about them?

I haven't been able to audition these, but I've narrowed my front components down to this. Will be running a Sundown Audio 1100.5 and may drive them actively. It'll be in a 2002 Trans Am using the door structure where the tweeters are mounted low but aimed toward your ears. I understand the Focal sound is very bright and detailed and can be a bit harsh/tiring. However, my car is a bit loud and am afraid the Morel's flatter, warmer sound will be lost/overpowered by my subwoofer package, though I do prefer that sort of sound in general outside of the car. In addition, the Morels seem to have a better midrange/woofer that plays in the 50-3000hz range with a 2250 crosso…

So about a month ago I received my new icon. And a recone for my old icon. I plan on going from a single 12 to 2 12s in the process of building an enclosure. Anyhow.. so I did the recone. Dropped it in the Box ran it for about a week to break it in. And it sounds fantastic.. Heaven ran it hard yet. I have a collection of some older subs and some newer subs. All are working. I can use series/parallel wiring to obtain pretty much any total load I want. Is there a way to check to see if any individual sub is less output than the rest?

Hi guys I helped my buddy make a box for a rockford p3 slim 12 he picked up. I was curious as to how it would sound. And excited because I've seen videos online and never heard one in person.
