What's the cutout and overall diameter of the D2 15? Oh, and when building a box, should the baffle go inside the 4 sides, or on top of the four sides? Thanks.

Does anyone know the cutout for an eclipse Ti 12"? I've got box built, just need to make the cutout, but don't know what it is. Help would be nice since eclipses site doesn't say anything.

Ok i have 2 12" ssa zcons D1. I didnt know i could rebuild them to 18"s. I'm looking on building a wall in my car and i want to go for spl. What would be better D1 or D2? I have a crescendo bc 3500 that will be running 2 18".

I'm in the market for a sub but not sure if I need to buy a dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohms voice coil. Furthermore, how should I wire it in series or parallel. What are the pros/cons of a D1 vs a D2? Then what are the pros/cons of wiring up the coils in series vs parallel? I'll be running a 12" sub with a Soundstream Rubicon 702 which does 700 watts RMS X 1 at 2 and 4 ohms bridged. Also does 350W X 1 at 8 ohms bridged.

Hi guys, i have been doing a lot of reading, and i have heard nothing but good things about the magnum... ok so here's my delima. I have a 92 toyota pickup, and im not cutting a hole in my truck bed. Since i cannot physically see the sub, i thought i would ask for help. Im gonna build a custom box, for behind my seat... i think i can get the box at around 1cf and still be able to fit my amp. Ok so heres my question... Is that gonna cut it. i mean would i be better off looking for something more shallow, or would that be enough for the sub... i noticed the mounting depth was like 6.75 or so right... have you guys ever seen your sub used in a wedge box. Right now I've got an Ascendant Audio Atlas 15, and about 400 - 500RMS to play with. I am thinking of upgrading to the D2 later this year. My question is, on limited power, is the D2 still an upgrade?? The Atlas is no slouch down low and does pretty darn well off of 400 RMS, 18mm xmax. The box I plan on using is going to be a 4.5 cubic foot ABC box tuned to 33hz.

Both 12" in sealed boxes. SQ? Ability to sound good with 1200w for two drivers. Both subs seem awesome to me, I have been looking at adire because of the xbl tech. Brahma is a little more $. ahh I wish I could listen to them myself. Compare some of these side by side.

whatsup, i got my new viper 1200d in and when i open the box my jaw dropped, its such a sweet amp. i went into the garage and made a simple amp rack out left over wood. turned out pretty good wutchu guys think? maybe ill get a spot on SI's website in the demo section!

This is my first post here so wassup. I'm tryin to upgrade from my Kicker CompVR to a MagnumD2 12" but i need to know whether or not they come in or can you order one in dual4 ohm. I have a Kicker 600.1 amp and i wanna use the whole 600w on the D2. If someone could help me out. Thanx.

Did anyone ever compare the old Magnum vs the Rl-p ?? I doubt the D2 has been compared. Just wondering if a pair of d2 15s w/ a 20.1 will pound on my pair of rl-p on ~1500. Ported :-D.

My name is Erskine and I have a very strong working interest in Bass Box Designs, anyway I have just been given two nice new Magnum D2's which I shall be putting into one of my tried and tested Three Chamber Internally Ported Reflex Boxes. As the D2's are two ohm per coil, have previous owners got a preference for the wiring options. Both coils in series or parallel and then both speakers in either series or parallel. I will be using a Genesis Monobloc rated at 1650wrms [1200wrms with my current electrical set-up] into one ohm and I am more of an SQ guy rather than out and out SPL. Just interested to hear …

I've got a few minutes of down time and decided to upload a few photos I have of cars (and a boat) that have our subs in use. I need to get pictures of the rest of the emailed to me, but I thought you guys might enjoy seeing a few photos. First up is a car that belongs to a guy named Kyle. He seems to be pretty happy. He has some kind of amp that I've never heard of, XXX or something like that. It's basically pushing no power to it. When he upgrades we'll try to get some meter results on it. It sounds good, but it's got a lot of room to improve with more power going to it.
