I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks

Either would be a 15." The setup is going into a Dakota ext. cab. Ive got my electrical upgrades (200 amp alternator, extra battery, and big 3 done with double runs of 0 ga.) and sound deadening is completed. Ill be powering either driver with a AQ 2200 (Gain will be set accordingly). I listen mostly to 90% reggae music, 5% rap, and another 5% with a mix of others. Am wanting a setup that is very musical, and can get loud when needed. But dont get me wrong, am not looking for an all out SQ setup, but i do like to sound good. The enclosure will be constructed around whatever driver is selected, hopefully by this weekend. Both are in the $500 range give or take a few bucks …

I was looking for a 10 inch sub for my 96 accord, and was interested in the digital design 3510 sub, but have never actually heard it. Im looking for a sub that is slightly more "compact" than my 12s, but still delivers the bass that I crave. Any opinions? pros/cons, etc.? Any suggestions towards another choice will be gladly accepted. Will be running this off of a JBL GTO1201.1 II. Thanks in advance.

Had one sitting for 4 years thought the motor shifted finally took it apart. The coil had hard bottomed a couple of times and put a lip on it. Any venders here make a kit? also would it be it be feasible to recone into a 18" http://fixmyspeaker.com/product/18-6-spoke-frame/ would this work? thanks.

I'm looking at putting two digital design 8's (500 or 600 series) under my back seat. My truck is a 2004 chevy ext. cab. I was told by the customer service guy at digital designs, that 8's would be better due to air space. Does anyone have a similar setup in a 2002-2006 chevy/gmc ext cab? I listened to one guys truck that had one 8 under the center console of an F-250 crew cab, it sounded good to me. I'm not looking to be heard a block away, but want something nice. Also, I was quoted $200-$225 for a custom built box at an audio store (in OKC) to hold the two 8's. Does this seem reasonable? Has anyone had any dealings with digital designs, if so how did you like i…

Does anyone know where the t/s parameters to the 18's of either the 9500 or the hdc3 can be found? I am trying to get a box designed but the companies don't have them posted that I can see.

exactly what the title says. digital designs 9500 vs fi btl. who wins in an output competition? not who can take more wattage. which gets louder on a given amount of power? say 2k watts or something.

both dual 2ohm running at 1ohm. My question, which would be better for numbers. The 9512 in a 2.75cuft box tuned to 37hertz or a 9515 in a 3cuft tuned to 37hertz. My amp is a sundown 2000d. As of right now, my suv peaks at 50hertz with now deadening.

Would a DD 9518 on a RF T15001-bd be ok as a daily driver? Don't care much about SQ, just wondering if this sub can take hours of daily pounding. And also, off topic but is port area separate from internal box volume?

I just picked up a BNIB D.7 9518Z from a friend of mine. I am going back and forth between doing a normal ported enclosure or a 4th order bandpass. I have about 6-7 cubes net to work with. Its going in the back of my PT Cruiser on two Sundown SAZ-2000's at .7ohm each. So 4500+rms, but less obviously for daily. What do y'all think?

Ok, I already have one 3512 dual 2 ohm and a single saz-1500d. just wondering if it would be ok to get another dual 2ohm 3512 and wire them down to .5 on a saz 3500, or to wire them at 2 ohm on 2 1500's? expanding in the future is a possibility too.

Hey guys, so I'm thinking of making the switch to a no sub set-up for awhile at least because the room in the trunk would be nice and I am starting to go away from that whole rap/bass phase. Currently, I just have a layer or two of eDead in my doors that are pretty solid on the actual door metal, but I am sure I am lacking covering up the larger holes. My question is what can I do or what would be my best bet for setting up a good deadening scheme. I've heard to maybe get some quality deadener (second skin or raammat?) and maybe some ensolite, but if I could hear it some more in detail or some tips that'd be great. To know what I'm dealing with, my set-up is this: Adire K…
