Got a new truck (2004.f250 king ranch) and am ditching the factory 6x8s and 6.5s but need some guidance on what to get. Dont want Jls or kickers.. if been looking at ground zero stuff but cant seem to find anywhere to buy any. Dont want to break the bank!

So as most of may know the car that is crashed does not have the speakers or amp....so imma buy these things. for the rear imma go with 6.5 coax's and in the front imma go with components but the hard thing i am finding is which ones i am on a 150 dolllar budget on speakers. I found these 3 way speakers but i dont know if these are better or worse than the regular 2 way ones. If i go to 2 way imma go RE Audio Components not the xxX i have had them before and i liked them. I can get all 4 speakers for 150 and 100 for the XT800.4 amp from RE /US amps i had this setup before but now im just trying to figure out if the 3 ways are better or what? Or maybe you guys have better …

i got confirmation from chris at db-r that my 1500d will be here this week. im going to run 1/0, and drop a yellowtop in my car sometime this month. i have several woofers: 2 old zeuz 12" 825w, 2 jl 12w0-8's (kinda useless with the saz) and one new jl10w3v3-4. i was considering throwing two more 10w3v3-4's in to run around a 1 ohm load on the three, however im aware they arent the greatest speakers. my question is this: for LSQ, in a 1995 honda accord ex cpe, running the saz1500d am i going to be pissed if i buy 2 more 10" jl's, could i fit a single 15 or 12 and get the same or more output while maintaining the sq? im trying to budget my woofers and enclosure for under …

Wanted to get some opinions out there.. Which would you guys go with, 2 12w6v2's sealed or 1 12 Magnum ported? Either application would be powered by a Sundown 1500d. Looking for SQ and have decent output.

I was thinking about running 4 txx bf 15s in a custom box, but i dont know if i should. if i do should i go ported or sealed. i've always went ported but just wanted to know would it matter. i'm getting the Crescendo BC5500D amp to power em, and 2 xs power D3100s. please help me out should i go with this setup? i already have the big three and zero everything from front to back.

a friend has a blown 12.5 LF boston acoustics sub that had its coil unwind on him. its a single 2ohm coil - does anyone know where i can find a recone kit for this sub? thanks.

I am trying to decide which way to go I know both company and subs are of the best quality just can't decide. So I'm coming to great group of guys for help. I will be running a BC5500 and I want four 15. I want loud but clean. I've had a sundown nightshade z 18, a dd9515, skar vvx 15s just to give you some of the other systems I've ran. I like the dd9515 control and loudness but nothing rocked the jeep like the nightshade but it missed alot of notes. I want the love child of this two subs. Thanks for your advice.

Right now i am rocking out the mid-sized sealed. But, i was looking to upgrade to a ported. can someone give me some help with a design, max dementions: W-35" x H-19" x D-25" it would be mdf. i built my last one and it came out great. I can do most stuff with the material (perfer it to be simple, so i don't have to spend weeks after school on it) I want to keep a lot of sq, but bump up the spl, i know that i will loose some of the tightness, but this would just be a second box anyway, you know, just to have, and for a project. if you needed to know, i have a Viper 1200d. -Travis Anyone know where to get some good black box capetting?

Ive been looking to upgrade my system for a while to something louder and cleaner and have been looking mainly at JLs. I recently found W6W12s on sale on sonicelectronix for around $400. From what I read these are the subs I'm looking for but I still have a few questions. Right now I'm running a 15" Eclipse titanium in a ported box on a Hifonics Zeus 1200 watt amplifier in a 2001 Expedition. Would 2 W6s be louder than this? I'm looking for something that will really hit hard, like a lot harder than the eclipse. Will the amp I have work for two of these subs? Also would I be better off going for 1 W7? Lastly, would it be necessary to make improvements to the wiring setup I…

Ok well getting ready to start work on my van and looks like im going to have to make a few slightly changes. The plans were as followed Midbass 60-100hz : Sundown Audio SD-1 10" x4 Mids 100-2500hz : PHL 2002 x2 Mids/Highs 2500hz + : Image Dynamics CD1E Mini x2 Mids/High Amps : Sundown 100.4 x3 (Bridged To Each Driver) Here is the problem, i dont have the space under the dash or anywere to mount my ID horns. I deffintly want to keep the midbass. So what i need is suggests for mids and highs drivers. What im looking for is an extremly loud and clean sound mids ands highs set up to keep up with my wall. Power will be coming from sundown amps. Corey

Well I was out pricing enclosures today & dude told me around $300 for a fiberglass enclosure. Anyone know of a better deal or am I stuck paying as much for the box as I did for the sub...err, almost as much.

Alright guys please don't hate too much, i found this audiobahn h2300hct amp on ebay and im pretty sure its what im going to get. It does 1200 rms at 2 ohms, and thats what id be running. Unless you guys could help me out and tell me of another good priced good amplifier.. im on a big budget im bout to move out of my current house. I blew my sundown 1200d running it at .25 ohm :[

due to space restraints, subs larger than 12's have to be up fired, are there any disadvantages of up firing a sealed sub in a trunk?

i have a beyond audio inhuman 15 it is a quad coil and i was wondering how i can hook up all 4 coils too one amp? any ideas??

well after a brief heartatttack this morning. I now have the Proto in my possesion. FedEx dropped it at the neighbors house and when I tracked it this morning and it said delivered I about freaked out, well I did, then my neighbor was like I have what you are looking for. Today i blew my sundown sa 15. I though about reconing it. But idk yet. Does anybody have any experiences with the american bass xfl 15s? Or fi audio bl 15s? Thought about getting either of those. But i think ill just buy a recone, cause i love my sundown. But today i also ordered the knukonceptz 0 guage power and ground wire. I got the 100 amp fuze. Good choice?

The only problem I have with it is the port will be unloading about 4 1/2" away from the side of the truck. This is a 7 1/2" port mind you. I'd like to get some opinions on wether or not I should go through with it or move back to an upfiring port and move the mags on the baffle to as far on the passenger as I can get them and make the box completely rectangular.
