Subwoofers / Speakers

Does anyone have any experience with this company or their products? I was thinking about putting this in a bedroom... I have no idea about home audio. Ik it is alot different than car audio... But this is cheap with a decently high rms rating...

Have a 12" GCON in a sealed box. It sounds great but I am wanting more and I know the sub will give it to me if I can put it in the right enclosure. I used the ICON enclosure design for the sealed box it is in now, would the ICON ported design work well for the GCON as well? It falls into the optimal range, 2.5f^3 tuned to 33hz. It is a 2 ohm sub with 500 watts powering it in the trunk of a '96 accord. I have about 32" x 20" x 18" to work with. Anyone have any experience or recommendations for a ported box design that will work well with the GCON?

well, decided to jump on the bandwagon again. i've decided i want some decent entry level comps. i've been looking at morel maximo 6.5s.. anything else around $120 that would suit my needs? wanted to stay right at $100 but unfortunately i saw nothing in the classifieds that would suit my needs

ok, so a buddy of mine just bought 2 NS 15 v2's brand new and is getting rid of his old stuff. he builds his own boxes and what not. well i purchased 2 mtx 9500's off him awhile back and when he sold them, he bought a brand new dd 9500G 15 and built a sick ass custom dual ported box for it. i heard he was getting a new system and asked how much for the box because it fits all my dimensions. to my surprise, he said $300 for box AND sub...... only catch is the sub has one blown coil. SO my question is..... do i fix the DD and sell it to get a second zcon 15;) or do i fix the DD and sell the zcon and do 2 dd 9500 15's??? when i do get the box and sub off him (sunday) i will …

does anyone have any experience with the Pioneer TS-W3002D4? i want to buy 2 of them and have a 1500 watt amplifier. should i upgrade the amp? are they a good quality sub?

So I need help choosing a subwoofer for my manager's car. He has a 2008 Civic 4dr with 2 JL Audio 12W0 in a vented box running off a JL J2.500 amp. He is selling off the subs and box due to the size, it takes half his trunk space (almost no room for golf clubs). He wants to have similar amount of bass in a smaller package and listens from rock to rap music 50/50 SPL SQ. 2 12's or 2 10's for small 4 dr sedan? (95 geo prizm) I've made up my mind on a subwoofer, I'm going to go with the Image Dynamics Version 2 but i'm not sure wether to get 2 10's or 2 12's. I don't want my trunk to rattle like hell plus I don't want to overpower my front stage. I'm going to have them in a custom built sealed in closure. I'm interested in getting a vey high resolution "Magnum" logo. I figured since they can no longer be called "Magnums" that perhaps a high resolution image might now be available without any conflict. After all my Claw Basket Mags are still Mags. On a side note, does anyone know how many Claw Basket Mags (12" of course) exist? ... How rare are these? The Hammer

Well I have 2 Alpine Type R's in 2.2CF @36Hz each seperate enclosures with a Hifonics Brutus 1600 and I am thinking about making a smaller setup with equal or better sound level, what do you think would sound better the Alpine's or a single FI BTL12? would it be as clear? I am planning on tuning it to the same Hz cuz I like that tuning, what do you think would it be as good or better? I plan on upping the power to the Brutus 2600 soon if I go the BTL. Any ideas? I just recently found out about these and I currently have DLS UP6i's in my 06 trailblazer. Would there be any advantage getting the AA Carbon's over the UP's? I would like a mid that does play better in the 50hz range. It might be just me or even the install, but I find the UP's to be a bit muddy when played loud. Would it be OK, to just swap the DLS's with the Carbon's? I have the doors deadened fairly well also Overall, my main goal is to have the mid dig a little deeper, and be a little cleaner when the volume is turned up. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi everyone, just put this new box in my trunk. Thought you all would like a peek. I built and installed this box in about 5 hours, so dont make fun of me. Its 3.5 cubes and the port.... well i really dont know how to port, the box was an experiment, its a slot port 3'x30.5'. It gets a lot louder than the two 15's that i had before. oh yeah 1500watts from rockford fosgate, daily driven.

ok. I've been eyeing all kinds of tc varients, the q, the z15 and a bunch of others. Kinda think i've narrowed it down to the q or the z15. Mach5 was around in the top 3 but don't think i can get a 15 from them right now. Have also been looking at ssa dcon. I was thinking about running 4 txx bf 15s in a custom box, but i dont know if i should. if i do should i go ported or sealed. i've always went ported but just wanted to know would it matter. i'm getting the Crescendo BC5500D amp to power em, and 2 xs power D3100s. please help me out should i go with this setup? i already have the big three and zero everything from front to back.

Whatsup everybody... I've recently decided to upgrade from my 12" mag to a 15 Now i'm tryin to figure out the ideal box size, etc for my setup. Its goin into an '02 Eclipse Hatch powered by a Hifonics BX1500d. I'm lookin to do ported, but space is a tad limited. I'm thinkin i wanna go with a lil more spl than sq, but still a decent mix. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

Ok well getting ready to start work on my van and looks like im going to have to make a few slightly changes. The plans were as followed Midbass 60-100hz : Sundown Audio SD-1 10" x4 Mids 100-2500hz : PHL 2002 x2 Mids/Highs 2500hz + : Image Dynamics CD1E Mini x2 Mids/High Amps : Sundown 100.4 x3 (Bridged To Each Driver) Here is the problem, i dont have the space under the dash or anywere to mount my ID horns. I deffintly want to keep the midbass. So what i need is suggests for mids and highs drivers. What im looking for is an extremly loud and clean sound mids ands highs set up to keep up with my wall. Looking for some help in a new build. I want or use my current amp RF p1000bd- will be running @1ohm I have room for two 15" woofers in a sealed box. (have roughly 5cf to work with) This will be going in my dodge megacab. Looking at Sundown E-15 or Sa-15 Recommed best sub in sub 300.00 price range. Goal is good balance of SQ & SPL.

To start off I would like to say I have had a love hate relationship with my 12" zcon from day one and also noticed from day one that the surround had a soft spot in it but never questioned it cause it seemed to play just fine. It sounds fantastic on a handful of songs but lacks to play a variety of music very well which they claim this woofer to not be a "one note wonder". I know your enclosure has a lot to do with things so I thought maybe the zcon needed a better home so I moved it from 3 cubes @ 30hz to 2.5 cubes @ 32hz. The new box made a big difference but after having it in its new home for a while I still had a love hate relationship and found it lacking on a lot …
