Sorry bout that mess of a trunk, i am currently deadening my entire car. got started with some help form nick earlier today.

To start off I would like to say I have had a love hate relationship with my 12" zcon from day one and also noticed from day one that the surround had a soft spot in it but never questioned it cause it seemed to play just fine. It sounds fantastic on a handful of songs but lacks to play a variety of music very well which they claim this woofer to not be a "one note wonder". I know your enclosure has a lot to do with things so I thought maybe the zcon needed a better home so I moved it from 3 cubes @ 30hz to 2.5 cubes @ 32hz. What is your opinion on the SI MAG v.3 12"? What year were they made and what year did they stop making them?

I have an idea what the majority is gonna say but i'll ask any ways. What better for SPL 6 XCON 10'S or 4 ZCON 12'S.

Ok so my sub stopped playing today; neither coil will measure either. The only thing that is bothering me is that I cannot understand why. I do not think I overpowered it in all honesty. I've had the same amp on it for 2 years. The coil visually looks brand new: no melted former or discoloration. I cannot see breaks in the tinsel leads or wire ANYWHERE. There is no evidence whatsoever that the bottom of the spider crashed into the top plate; none that I can see. There is no rubbing when I push down on the cone. I've tried the sub on multiple amps. I got one coming and have a rf 300.1 im going to wire it parallel for a 2 ohm load, so I can have around 300 watts available, but the subs only rated at 175rms, the box is about 2.4 cubes tuned to 28. 20V AC should be about 200 watts, where should I set it at, not sure if RE subs are tough and can handle a little extra or what? Id be open to building a smaller box or similar sized tuned different if it will help in output. Im guessing tuned higher would be louder overall, but in winisd, the 1.5 @ 35Hz box they recommend doesnt look better than the box I built, at least not at anything under 45Hz, of course from there on up the scale it looks like the smaller box has the …

I was looking at this set of Hybrids, I had already set my budget at $500 before looking around a lot and I have heard good things about Hybrid Audio so how do you guys think they would do running active with a Sundown 100.4? Also I'm not so sure that the 6.5's will fit without mods to the door so if they don't then how will the 5.25's compare to them?

I have a spare set of tweeters and crossovers from a 4" mb quart comp set. My question is, can I get any set of 6.5 midbass speakers and use the mb quart crossovers with it? Or are there certain factors that have to be looked at for one to be compatible with the other. I could just get a whole set of 6.5 comps but I remembered I had some extra parts and wanted to see if I can just get some midranges and use what I have.

if i have two dual 4 ohm subs going into a 1 chanel mono amp..what would be the diference with wiring paralel as opose to just hooking up one voice coil to another negative to negative positive to positive and then hooking to the amp

Would i need a double thick front for 2 15 inch IA Flyatlyns?

Okay first of all please don't ask if i have electrical upgrades because yes i do. i Just want some opinions on subs and an amp to push them.. I'm either thinking of 2 15" SSA XCONS or 3-4 12" AA havocs. Probably 4. Been looking at mach 5 audio and heard so much good thing about it. I have a friend that Dj's hip- hop and trance. I was wondering how 2 mj 18 would do in a Bass reflex (ported) box off of 1000 rms? Will these be loud enough indoor and outdoor? Usually djs for like 50 - 200 max of people. I know these arent PA speakers but will they work?

I am wanting to know what size of a ported box would i need for the 18 IXL if i wanted it to be built to 35hz.

I went over to mark's house and got to play with his Term Lab. Magic freq was 42hz and i did a 145.7 off a Tone and 143 off music. the van is nothing but rattles though. Box is tuned to low 30's. wasnt able to run everything at full tilt because of voltage loss.

what size and tuned to what frequency. want lots of bass but sound good as well also how much power should i give them to make them perform but not ware them out too quick? thanks

anyone have any experience with kicker cvx 10's? if so how did they peroform? what box and what amp did you use? im wanting to know cause im trying to trade my brother for his 2 10's. he has them in prefab sealed boxes ran off some pioneer 500wrms amp and they get pretty loud but he has a trans am hatchback. im thinking of trying them in my trunk car with a 3cf ported box tuned to 32hz with my re12.1 for power so around 500wrms each. any opinions welcomed.

I have been running 1 12" Soundsplinter RLP for the past 6 years. I used to play around and try different set ups pretty frequently, but buying a house and having a child put a damper on some of that stuff. Driving a Mazda 3 right now and I am looking to get the best and cleanest output(on a budget of course), so I am looking at either building a new box for my RLP and having it fire into the cab with the backseat down, or get 2 DCON 10s and building a box to fire into the cab the same way. Hello, I am new at this type of thing, but I want to put one, or maybe two subs into my minivan. It's a Chrysler 2002 Town and Country, and I was thinking about getting some JL Audio 10" W3v3's. The thing is, my dad doesn't want to have them in their all the time. So I was thinking that maybe I could use some banana clips to make them easily removable, but any other Ideas would work. You all helped me to design my box for the magnum to go in my reg cab s10. While im savin up money im still exploring my options and for abt the same price i was i could go these two directions..... -2 re se 12s getting 600 watts a piece (dunno which amp yet) with 1.0 cubes a piece before displacement OR -a single 12" magnum d2 in a 2.65^3 box before displacements tuned to 28hz using two 4"x40.5" aero ports powered by a jl 500/1 now, I was just wondering you guys' overall opinion btwn the two any and all comments/suggestions/help would be appreciated! Ok, I just got a long e-mail from the guy I bought my USA-600x from. He asked what my system was like, so I told him, and he claims I have way too much power! He quarentee's me that the USA-300x I plan to put on my sub (SI D2Mag 12") will blow the sub for sure, and that the 600x will murder my CDT ES520 set! This is his quote...
