  3. ok. I've been eyeing all kinds of tc varients, the q, the z15 and a bunch of others. Kinda think i've narrowed it down to the q or the z15. Mach5 was around in the top 3 but don't think i can get a 15 from them right now. Have also been looking at ssa dcon. Looking at powering the sub with an arc 2500 xxk on a 4ohm load in the area of 1000w rms. Box isn't built so i don't have anything to work around there except for size limits. Wanting to work within the 36x20x20 inch box size to conserve trunk space. Going ported and thinking of going either slot ported, maybe aero ports, or a transmission line (not saying i know much but know very little about those differences in p…

O.K. I currently have 2 jl 12w6d4 in a slot ported box designed to jl specs and I am thinkin of getting 2 mach5 15's. The jl's are being ran off a 1000/1 and hit well but I kinda want more spl. I'm not totally into spl but listen to a lot of rap/r&b. I have a guy wanting to buy my current setup along with my 300/4 so I will be starting over with sundown amps as well. Vehicle is 07 escape with front/rear consisting of memphis m series comps in front and rear 5x7's. If I run the 15's in a ported box on a sndwn 1000D will I lose a lot of SQ? I listen to some rock/alternative music on occasion. BTW, my HU is a pioneer 7800 and I have a kinetic 800 as a second battery in t…

I have a 90 GT Mustang and I am stuck between two different set ups. I either want to go with two ICON 12's or a single XCON 15. I have never heard either set up. I am using a 3000d for power with good electricals. My question is which will be better from as far as output? I know two 12's is more cone area but with lower power. The 15 would be less cone area but is rated for 750 more watts. I plan on using the box specs on the SSA forum. Any ideas or advice?

Whats the recomended sealed enclosure for an mli-65 for HT use, how about ported? Id like to make some kind of towers using 3 or 4 of these and a large format tweet, any ideas on that? How much power do they like per mli-65 for HT use? Any suggestions about this idea.

Well a friend of mine bought two Ample Audio ACWD 150 15's, for a price i guess no one would refuse $30, and wants me to build a box for him. The problem is I've searched the internet far and wide, and emailed tech support at ample audio for t/s parameters and enclosure recommendations all to no avail. So I'm hoping some one here on this forum has dealt with the subs before and can help me out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

so a friend of mine is looking to add a sub to his car, but he cares a great deal about weight (yes, contradictory, but to each his own). He's looking for a 10" driver that weighs less than 20lbs, preferably around 15lbs, that has awesome SQ and lets you slightly feel the bass. So far, he's looking at the eD 11Kv.2, Adire Shiva (having a hard to time to find this thing online), and the Seas Lotus SW250 (isn't sure if he wants to spend this much money, unless its 200% worth it). any other suggestions? Thanks in advance

Whats up...first wanted to say thanks to everyone on the SSA forums.. Very glad I found it. A lot of good info and members here.... now that I'm done kissing ass lol ..... I need some recommendations.. I recently built an enclosure to replace the old setup in my Eclipse. I built it to fit how I wanted in the hatch, and did not have a pre-planned volume. When I finished this thing, I ended up with: 1.62 cu ft Slot Ported @ 32hz 7.5" max mounting depth. I layed out both 12" and 10" cut out patterns on it, and have a Type R 10" temp mounted in it so I could still play until I chose on a final driver. I'm actually very impressed how the Alpine is playing in this enclosure. …

Considering buying an electronic xover and I've found a nice old school piece that will allow me to set highs/mids/subs but doesn't allow bandpassing the mid. Is that that big of a deal? If so, should I get these to cut it off on the high end? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2FMOD-3500Hz-High-Pass-Tweeter-Electronic-Crossover-USA-/370525230698?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item564506566a#ht_2009wt_1396

  16. is it possible to put my 12'' dc lvl 4 in a sealed box? (ran @ 1000w off of an SAZ1500) the site doesn't recommend any specifications for a sealed box. Right now I have it in a 32.5 hz ported box (2 cu ft before displacement). #1 what do you think the frequency range for my 32.5 hz ported box should be? #2, what would the frequency range for said sealed box be? I'd like my bass response to be louder in the higher ranges, so I'd like to see if making a sealed box is a possible option? I used to have 2 12'' (older) kicker cvr's in a sealed box, and their response for rock songs were a lot louder than my single DC's.

I can't speak for the reliability of the AQ sub yet, as I just got one of them in. But I can say that you definitely get your moneys worth with the HDC3 series. I was surprised when there was a box at the door since I haven't even received notification that one of my subs shipped, but man was I happy and amazed when I opened the box. I ordered a pair of HDC310's for a build of mine and figured they would be a nice little subs for a small build. But now I'm considering trying these out in my SUV. This thing is HUGE. I have never liked small subs until now. BL 12 VS AQ HDC310

I have a 2010 malibu with a 250A mechman, D2400 under the hood and 0g all round with a 4 cu box tuned to 35 hz. Hifonics BRE 1700.1, I would be using this amp for which ever sub i decide to get. Which subwoofer would be best for a daily driver? It would be a 15". My choices are as followed: Sundown Zv4 15, Psi Platform 3, X15, or a DC level 4? Im not making this to be a VS thread, i was just asking for some opinions on which would be best for a daily set up?

I will be updating the web page shortly to link all pricing inquiries through www.showrides.net soon. I have been talking with Ben at Show Rides for about two months now and they have officially signed up as our first dealer. Right now Show Rides' web page isn't up to full-tilt and that is partially because we have been lazy and haven't sent them more pictures and/or information. Hopefully within a week everything will up and running.
