I have decided to stay away from trying to fit a ported box in a regular cab ranger and just stick to sealed. I wanted to hear everyone's opinion on which has the ability to have the most output in their optimum sealed enclosure with the recommended power. Sub will be 1 12'', here are the options: SSA ICON FI Q SS RL-P SI MAG(new model) Or if there are any other options out there please let me know. I appreciate the help.

  2. Hey guys I haven't a system like this ever. I have http://www.atrendusa.com/bbox/vehicle-specific-carpeted/dodge?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=203&category_id=59. So only like .6ft^3 each. I need some subs that are no more than say $130 each and will work with 250-300 each. I thought about reusing my amp the jl xd 500/3 300x1 at 2 ohm. But I don't think that will be enough power for 2 subs. I need to watch the mounting depth as well. No more than 5.75" with vented pole piece. I thought about JL 10w1v3 or 10w3v3. Im not a big fan of jl subs but they work great in this enclosure size. It is going in a 2007 dodge ram 1500 quad…

Hi guys. I currently am running a single Alpine SWX-1242D with a pdx 1.1000 in a 2.25 - 2.5 cubic foot enclosure in the back of my Hummer. I csn't remember what it is tuned to, as I got the design off of a forum a couple years ago. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the ouput I want. I am not sure why, but there just doesn't seem to be enough bass. My input source is a Mac mini running to an Alpine PXE 650 with the Ant EQ, which has 4 volt pre outs. I also run a stock batt, with a yellow top optima in the back. Stock alternator and all power And grounds are 0 gauge welding cable. So since I can't firgure out the problem other than the box may not be right, …

Ok, guys I have a ported enclosure with a 13W7, It hasn't been braced... How much more spl do you think I could gain if I braced it? I'm using 3/4" MDF and I'm driving it with a JBL GTO 14001.

I am just about set on a Sound Splinter RL-p15 and when i get money i was planning on ordering one.... BUT, a dealer just offered me a brand new Adire brahma for 300 shipped. I have read that the RL-p and Brahma are very comparable subs.... just use different technology. I have never heard either and dont think i would be able to hear either of them. So, I guess i need your guys help in deciding here. Which way should i go??

I've seen a couple people such as DreDay256, sorry to name drop, running subs from fi or ssa as midbass. So to my question, what are the usable higher frequencies that can produce in a very linear line from your subs in a medium size box (either sealed or ported) fom say 60hz on up to.... What? They would be ran off an aq1200d. Looking for some ideas to think about while I still am thinking about my next build. Would be used between sub (1 18" fi q on a BC2000D, high pass set to 27hz low pass set at 70hz) and midrange 6ND430 that I've ran as low as 100 hz up to 1.5k off an aq1200d. Both amps sending clean signals. 220 amp alt, big 3, and 2 shuriken bats in back. Just loo…

Hello, first real post. Planning an install for my resto-mod 79 Camaro. Would like opinions and any expert advice on some parts selection and install. First my Head unit is a Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS. So far I have the following amps on hand: Rockford Fosgate R300X4 and Alpine A2-S60M. I also have a pair of Polk MM692 6x9 full range tri-axial speakers. I was going to use these in the rear deck with a set of Focal 165 V20 6.5" 70W RMS Polyglass Series mounted in the doors with angled pods. I have the 6.5" door mounted pods on hand but not he Focals yet. I'm considering, instead, getting a Focal ISU 200 8" component set and mounting the 8" woofers in the deck with th…

Hey everyone, I've been working on getting everything ready for my new set up. This will be going in a 01 blazer s10 extreme, it is my daily driver and will most likely not be doing competitions. Will put up pictures as I progress. What I have and want: HU - (OWN) - Pioneer DEH-X9500BHS PROCESSOR - (OWN) - miniDSP 4 x 10 hd. I was planning on getting the MS8 but I've heard it does not like trying to work with horns. Can I expect this from the miniDSP as well (I really hope someone with experience can chime in here) or will the DSP help my speakers shine? SUBSTAGE - (OWN) - 1 2010 Fi Q 18" d1, fully loaded (without high Qts) in a 8 ft^3 box tuned to 29 hz. (Best sounding …

  22. Alright guys, I finally got my build up and running (its in the build log section if you need to see it) and I am asking myself if I need more power. Currently I am running an AB1100.1, and during testing had it wired up but scored a 150.2. After wiring it down for peak power from the amp it scored a 154.2. Te reason I ask this is because these subs seem to be laughing at that amp.. I mean I know they are underrated at 2250 RMS but they literally only move 3/4 of an inch at most (20-30hz) and get stupid loud in that box. I am looking to add more batteries, maybe another alt, and maybe gonna add another AB1100.1. I am just worried that the 3" coil wont be able to han…

I'm trying to decide between a 15" SSA XCON or a Fi BL 15"... My goals are just SPL. SQ isn't a big enough concern to alter my decision. I will be running it in the trunk of a Grand Am in a 4^3ft(ish) ported box at 32 hz, off a memphis 16-st1000d for now at 1 ohm. I've got all my electrical ready.. Just trying to pick between these 2. I've never heard either one personally, so I'm looking for opinions on which would produce higher SPL in this situation. If you have any other opinions on a differen't subwoofer, I'm open for those as well. P.S. BUDGET - 400$
