Subwoofers / Speakers

I thought I read some where that Mark was going to have a 15" sub available in the future. If this is true, will it be DVC 4 ohm or will it be SVC 4 ohm? Whats the RMS going to be for it?

I have been shopping a bunch of different subs to upgrade to. I have locked my budget to 450 MAX. I have been looking at 4 12" type r's. Just recently, I got more interested in 2 15 type r's. Now I am between the 2 15 type r's and an aa havoc 18. I will be running small sealed- 4 cu ft. right now, probably get another cube with a few mods to my box. I have 4 10" mtx thunder 5500 at this time, and I listen to mostly rock/metal, 70's,80's and a lot of Pink Floyd. I want: 1) better low freq extension, 2) keep the tightness that I have right now 3)more spl. I have an saz1500d for power. Any honest opinions/recommendations plz? would i be better off gettin 8 AUDIOPIPE TSAR10 10"s on one ap3000.1 at 2 ohms or should i get one aq hdc3 18-a on 2 ap3000.1s the ap3000.1s are rated for 2 ohm stable but i used to run one on .6 ohms daly on a solo x 18 so im sure it would be fine at a little over 1 ohm the audiopipes would be sealed and the 18 would be in a custom built aero port box.. which setup would be better for spl at the headrest thanks in advance

about car: hud: alpine 9831 amplifier: aq 3500.1d 1 stock alt 75A + second alt 100A 1stock bat + 2 deepcycle & 0awg cable box will tune to 32hz, space 5cf is not a problem. music: rap / hip hop / dub step; with low hits It will be used daily, and occasionally in the other box for SPL competitions. I do not know what choice is better: FI btl n2 fully loaded daily variant or AA Mayhem 15' Both are the same specs, same reputation. What choice should I do ? Or wait a few reviews about FI SP4 speakers ?

Hey everbody i have a small question i have a 12 in icon that ive had since about january and today when i was listing to it and it started to make a popping sound right where the dust caps at and only at hi volumes and i was wondering if anybody might know what it might be.

So I need help choosing a subwoofer for my manager's car. He has a 2008 Civic 4dr with 2 JL Audio 12W0 in a vented box running off a JL J2.500 amp. He is selling off the subs and box due to the size, it takes half his trunk space (almost no room for golf clubs). I have a set of alpine type x 6.5 comps in my car right now. I like the sound of them, but they dont handle quite enough power to get the loudness I want. I am considering either the boston z6's or the diamond d971's- both on ebay ~500 shipped. Has anybody out there heard these 2 sets of speakers to do a comparo? I would do a listen myself, but I dont really want to drive 4 hours to get to a shop that carries high end like that. I have had boston before and loved the sound( pro's and the old rally's). i know yall have heard me say i have 2 15" cvx's in sealed box which is about 5 cubic feet!! i wanna show off at prom next weekend but i only have 1 fi q 15"right now, the other one i ordered about 3 days ago, so it will take like a week for the other one to come in.... right now i have the q in the box on my kicker zx 1000. however i still have the 2 cvx's handy, so should i just use those to show off and put my titanium 2400 amp back in to push them? or would yall just leave the Q in on the zx 1000? to me the Q sounds alot better and picks up more frequencies but i'm still kinda breaking the sub in, i've probably played it for about 1 hour total! if you were in my shoes…

ive got boston pro60's for the front. im was thinkin, maybe a set of those 6x9 tang band "subs" for the rear, but when i eventually put in my 12" xxx, i probably wouldnt even be able to tell the tang bands are there. should i do coaxial's in the rear? whats a decent set of 6x9s if so?

Im trying to find out which sub setup would be the loudest. All these subs have good enough sq for me. Im trying to stupid loud but only have 6cuft to work with and my amp is a sundown 1500. I dont want to use more than that in my trunk. All of the choices below are for the max recommended ported box specs. It will go in the trunk of a tahoe. The box & port will face the back. Okay, so I'm wanting to build a box into my worthless backseat area in my mustang and reverse mount a 18 which should look sweet as hell. I'm not walling it into the trunk though, I dont /think/ anyway, it will depend on if I can fit it or not. I've seen some things on the internet about them being comparable to the BL but judging by the specs, they appear to be a bit more SPL oriented then the BL's let me know if you've heard anything good or bad! or which one you'd pick between HDC3 or BL

SI is doing a system in a customers house and we ordered the 9" Sunfire Jr subwoofer for this application (cost and size). For those of you who don't know what a Sunfire Jr is, it is an 8" driver with an 8" PR and a 1400 watt amplifier all inside a 9" cube that is finished beautifully (a deep deep deep red - almost black - wood laquered finish)! We hooked it up next to the line arrays and this little sucker wangs HARD! On normal music it kept up with the line arrays just fine - ample bass all the way around, fairly tight...actually pretty darned tight for an out-of-the-box PR setup. I just ordered some Memphis MSYNC8 comp. and I was wonder how much power would you recommend on these ran active and what crossover points do you recommend? Which is better for these, passive or active? Coaxial or separate? If you own or heard them, how do you like them? Thanks.
