I just sold my hdc3 15 and Im wanting to upgrade to either a zcon 18 or warden 21.I would be buying the zcon brand new or the warden used for around the same price. I just dont know if a warden sounds good on music. This is going in a 03 trailblazer. I have a crescendon bc2000 for now to use. If i get the warden then ill have to run it at .5 ohms because its a D1. Im going to buy a xs d3100 to add to my deka 9a31 if i go that route so my electrical will be good. So I just need to know if the warden will be good for daily? If you need more info please ask. Thanks!

I have decided to stay away from trying to fit a ported box in a regular cab ranger and just stick to sealed. I wanted to hear everyone's opinion on which has the ability to have the most output in their optimum sealed enclosure with the recommended power. Sub will be 1 12'', here are the options: SSA ICON FI Q SS RL-P SI MAG(new model) Or if there are any other options out there please let me know. I appreciate the help.

Hello everyone I want to get your opinions on wich to go with. The sub will be in 1.25 sealed powered with 1500 watts. I listen to all music however lean more towards rap. Looking for a loud """SQL""" setup. Is there really that much difference between the two?

Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

Alrighty, I got one of my MJ-18Ms back and now I'm looking to make a box for them for the mini-van. The dimensions I have to work with are 45" wide, 48" deep, and 22" tall. I'll be tuning hopefully no higher than 31 or 32 hz. These will be powered by a memphis 4k. I need to get a box designed by tomorrow morning when I will be starting the build. I have only one day to get this box done, so hopefully all goes well. Subs will be facing up, and I'm guessing slot port to the back. Any suggestions at all? I should have 24 cubes before all displacements at that size, but I'll probably shrink it down. It all depends how well things work out. I will have no time tonight to thin…

hi, today i heard some horns because i wanted to see how loud they really are compared to normal speakers and i didn't think they sounded that bad it was just that they lacked midbass so i was wondering would it sound weird to have a horn and a midbass driver for a front stage and have normal speakers in the back( componots [i don't need to know that having rear speaker messes up imaging because i already know plus i already made holes for current speakers in my rear deck cover for the tweeters])

Well, I am looking to make myself a home sub to augment my Bowers and Wilkins DM603 S3 towers bottom end. I am looking at the BM 12" and was wondering how well it would work in a home environment, what size enclosure and whether it should be ported or sealed. Also, I just wonder when these will be available for purchase as I assume you approved the new design since its up on your site.

I have a sundown saz3500d im going to be using to power my subwoofer stage. i cant decide what subs i want to run however. im stuck between 2 Sundown NightShade V2 D1 15's or 2 FI BTL N2 D1 15's (i havent found any videos or opinions on these FI's really?). those are my main two choices but i have been considering saving the money and going with 2 of the sundown z v2 D1 15s. Is it beneficial to go with the top model nightshades compared to the z? in my video watching i have been very impressed by all the sundown 12's. i have also been giving the nightshade v2 d1 12s, z v2 d1 12s, and 4 d2 sa 12s some thought. id really like to see 150db on music, maybe wishing too big, b…

  19. I am looking at either 6 06'RE Audio XXX 18's, 6 Soundstream XXX-18's, or building my own subs from scratch. What I must have: More than my current 30mm Xmax, 40mm Xmech, more than 11 for a Bl ( my subs are custom dual 4 ohm so I believe 8 layer and a touch more Bl than the single 4....as per website for s2 and s4... " Bl: 8.43 N/A | 11.8 N/A" ) A standard 3.5" p-p 1/2 roll surround will not gain any excursion. I am NOT looking to gain any output from gain in Bl and/or efficiency! So BTL/BL/Q... SMD/HAVOC/Mayhem... Maelstrom-X.. all will be ignored. I can get the Soundstream XXX's refurbed for 1/2 the cost of authorized internet RE Audio new. I may order coils, plates, …

I was curious of any of your experiences with 6.5" subs. I saw this thread on DIYMA as sometimes they get too technical for me. I was wanting to put two 6.5" subs in my truck, but I am curious how well they will balance with the rest of my system. I currently have 8" Rainbow X-plain midbass and Cal27 tweeter. I can fit 8,10,12,15,18...but if I can do more with less, I think that will be great.

  21. if your current set up was giving you around 600 watts per sub into a sub with 1000 watts rms handling, but for $550 you could upgrade to a different amp that would put around 844 watts into that same sub would you spend the extra cash to do it? i mean can one even tell the difference by listening to a sub with either power going to them? not sure if it matters but the system consist of 3 18's..im looking for opinions to see if its worth me spending the $550 and only adding about 200 watts per sub if even that..

Don't hate the BOSS... gf wanted a small system, I'm building her one lol. Regardless, I can't find much info on the sub besides what's listed on the main site and sonicelectronix. BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS | ENTERTAIN YOURSELF and Boss CX8 - 8" Subwoofers - Sonic Electronix Sub will be powered by only 70wrms at 4 ohm. so question is: what tuning should I do the enclosure for the sub? anyone have any ideas on port length? also airspace recommendations on an 8? She listens to gaga/la roux and ke$ha a lot. I'm honestly not that experienced doing my own enclosures and would prefer help of the forum over me trying to do it myself haha. just an fyi, I am always open to free enclos…

  24. RE's website claims 88.7dB/1w/1m SPL for the 10" SEXv2, but only 84.4dB on the 15" version. 1) Wouldn't that mean that at any given power level, the 10" would be louder? 2) That sounds unreasonable, so either I'm wrong or there's a typo? http://www.reaudio.com/products/woofers_sex_v2.php
