I ran across this video today, and it made me wonder if this guy was talking out of his ass or not. What he's saying does make sense to me, talking about a square has more surface area to push more air out then a round woofer would. But if that was the case, then how come almost no manufacturer on this site even offers a square in any of their lineups? This part didn't make sense to me, because from what this guy is saying, everybody would be designing square woofers right?

I need a pair of inexpensive 5.25 for my doors of my explorer. I am gonna have about 60watts per channel. I dont wanna spend over $70 tbh im pretty broke right. The bostons I bought used were blown so I need some door speakers now. What would you recommend? I dont like harsh tweet want more natural sounding. I have had good luck with boston, old school orion, cdt, and image dynamics.

I'm looking at getting back in to car audio scene again. I haven't been up to date with it. So I have all my stuff picked out and i'm not sure what comps I wanna go with. They will be powered by a Sundown SAX125.2 or my Kicker ZX350.2. I currently have the Kicker. But id rather keep the amps to the same brand, as my sub amps will be the Sundown SAZ-1500D. For the price of the comps $400, but if they are worth it $500 MAX. They must be a 6.5in comp set.

Hello everyone! Was wondering if people could help me. I currently have the following... 2 12" JL Audio W3v2 2ohm 1 Rockford Fosgate T1000.1BD I built a 3.5 cu/in ported box for them and they sound fine. Problem is the box is the wrong dimensions for the 2008 Civic Si Coupe. My current available space is.. H = 15" W = 37" D = 18" preferably smaller Those are the MAX dimensions that will fit in my trunk. I am not worried about the opening to the truck as I will build the box in the trunk if I have too. What I am wondering is if anyone has a box build that would work for the SA 12's that would work for my Civic. Just need the outside box dimensions and port dimensions …

Alright guys, I'm about to get a whole lot of xmas money with it being my last xmas at home (senior in high school) so I want a really nice front stage. They will be getting no less than 125wrms and mounted in the doors of my explorer with plenty of SDS,. I'll go as high as 400 bucks. ok guys, i messed up my recone pretty bad...i used the 10 minute epoxy...and i guess i didn't mix it right bc its just tacky and still not dry. it has been sitting on my counter for well over 5 hours...what should i do?

Well just payed for an ordered a FI x 10" I plan to run it sealed off the back two channels of my amp. It set me back a bit more than i wanted but everything i hear about this woofer is really good.

Here is my dilema. The xcons are asking like 8 cubes each...well 6-10. I can realistically only give them 6 each if that. Should I get 2 18" Xcons with a smaller box for them and only 1500 watts each? Or should I got with 1 18" FI BTL? Full powered around 2500-3000 watts in a 8+ Cubic foot box? I will be running a Audiopipe 30001d which I just ordered. And it will give me 3,000 watts at 2 Ohms Bridged So what would you guys do? One stronger 18" in the perfect box with perfect power. Or 2 xcons with a lesser box a power?

well i blew a voice coil in a 7 year old power hx2 12 with a brutus 1600d. wondering if i should just buy a new sub or recone this one, also i cant find a recone for it. any advice will be appreciated. thnx in advance

Ok, so assuming I had 2,000 or 2500 watts (1ohm) and a 2.4 CF box 1 12 Xcon Ported or 2 12 Icons Sealed?? Which would be louder? If you need anymore info let me know

I am so siked first of all! A couple people from REO got me to look into the SSA line and I am very impressed I will be getting 2 of the Xcon 18s and I will be powering them with one Audiopipe AP-3001D. That amp needs a ton of power to put up over 2,000 watts so I plan on getting 2 2400 Kinetiks for the back and maybe a red top under my hood. I drive a 2009 Malibu 4 cylinder soo I'm not quite sure if they even make bigger alternators lol. Hopefully 3 solid batteries will do the trick! Ive been lookin at some 6.5 inch subs mainly the jl 6w3 and was wanting to put them in my rear doors of my 2010 lancer DE. I know a decent amount about car audio other than this subject. i need some help on a good way to set up this application. Thank you.

I am in Orlando and there is a shop that my friend owns and runs and it is called Audio Excellence. Anyways when I was there the other week they had a customer's car and it was an old classic sedan. Anyways it had three 10s sealed and there was a port on the rear deck. When I asked them about it they told me that it eliminates the rattle in the trunk and fires the bass into the cabin. Has anyone know what is the true nature of doing this besides tearing up the rear deck. Thank you Ebrahim

I have an old RF punch from sometime in the 90s. I tried googling about a recone but couldn't find anything. The surround is completely gone on the woofer. I don't remember the model number, I'll take some pics of it when I get home. But everything else about the sub is fine. It's a 10 inch and I had two of them in a custom box. The other one has a broken voice coil which I'm not worried about cause it's more work. I'm curious though if anyone knows where i can get a recone for the sub.

Okay so I want to get new subs I have 2 memphis C3's right now and looking for something that is loud and clean and you can feel it in your chest my dubget is under $900 and no bigger than 15's please help me having trouble choosing new subs.
