Wha's good? Um, I'm new to this site but I'm going to get str8 to business. I have a 2000 Lincoln LS and I'm thinkingof buying a BTL 12. Is this a decent set up along with a power acoustik 3000D, and if so, what type or box should I use?

I have a 2002 pontiac bonneville, i have a FI BTL 18 right now, running of of an audiopipe aqx 3500. I ordered a ZCON 18 a few weeks ago and haven't built a box for it yet. The most i can get out of a box is around 6.5 cubes. Any idea which one will be better to go with? also, it's mainly for music thanks

Alright well I am about to put it in the box and I know I have to drill the surround so I can drill the screws in there. Should I remove that sticker on the bottom of the sub? And are there any specific ways to drill it? Is there anything else I should do when putting it in the box?

I want to buy 2 Fi BTL 18" but the place where I would be getting it installed at want to sell me 2 Addictive Audio 18", but they only have 2000 watts RMS each and I want 4000 to 5000 watts RMS. you guys think that i can get a Fi BTL with that kind of power. I still dont have any amps. For 2 Addictive audio they want to sell it to me for $1000. I need all you guys opinon.

what are the fi btl and the audioque hdc3 comparable to? Im thinkin about buying ethier two 15in btls or 2 15in hdc3s, right know i have 2 15in kicker L5s ran off a memphis pr1.1000.1 in a prefabed box i love the way it sounds but im looking for more bass, i have a 1991 cadillac deville, so hopefully i can fit either 2 15in btls of the hdc3, because the web site says the btls require a minimum of 3 cubes ported to each woofer but I AM A try for 5 cubes each, the amp i wanna get to run the woofers is the AQ3500d. But even if i wanted to get two 12s of the FIs or the Audioques would they be louder then my 2 15s i got now???????? thanx guys cleanrockone

Well im looking for a new sub(s) and the two im looking at right now are a 12" BTL dual2 off 2300 watts or two Fi Q's off 1100 a piece i have around 3.5 cubes that i can still be comfortable in the truck I can go up to 6, but im trying to get something smaller so i have room i have around $400 to play with, I am basically wondering what would be my best alternative. I am fairly used to my tc-3000 in 3.5 cubes off 1000 watts, how would both of those compare in SQ and output? I hear really mixed things about the BTL how bad is the SQ? I would get the HiXM coil and third mag, possibly cooling. This is in an ex cab s10 with a pretty stout electrical (3 batts four runs of 2 ga…

about car: hud: alpine 9831 amplifier: aq 3500.1d 1 stock alt 75A + second alt 100A 1stock bat + 2 deepcycle & 0awg cable box will tune to 32hz, space 5cf is not a problem. music: rap / hip hop / dub step; with low hits It will be used daily, and occasionally in the other box for SPL competitions. I do not know what choice is better: FI btl n2 fully loaded daily variant or AA Mayhem 15' Both are the same specs, same reputation. What choice should I do ? Or wait a few reviews about FI SP4 speakers ?

What would you say is better for a single sub set up in general after giving whatever power needed and space required? I've been comparing T/S parameters but just want other people's opinions.

Looks like I desoldered a tinsel lead from my BTL...on accident. It looks like it's too short...I resoldered it already but I can't turn it up loud or I get a scraping from (guessing) the lead being too short causing the cone/coil to rock. Can I just desolder the lead from the landing, resolder a piece of 12ga stranded wire to the landing and crimp the lead to that? Or should I order 5 meters of tinsel from an online vendor and try to desolder the lead from a difficult spot near the cone and try to do it "right"? Thoughts? Thanks.

When I originally heard the IB3 18's Xmech was "shortly after its 30mm Xmax" I assumed maybe it was 31mm-33mm. So when I heard the IB3 22 was going to have a 38mm Xmax and 96% of the Vd of two IB3 18's, I thought the 22" was going to have a lot more Mechanical clearance than the 18's. But the 22's are going to have the same profile surrounds as the 18's, so the same or similar 41mm - 42mm Xmech. I'm not going to be able to replace my 18's with the 22's. At 8 ohms I already have to be careful to avoid over excursion. I planned on running 8 ohms for the 18's for safety, but 4 ohms for the 22's. The 22" isn't going to work. I'm probably going to have to order a 2nd pair of 1…

hey guys on Fi's site I was lookin at their 12 inch IB3's and its not showing any cubic feet spec's for a ported box...... why not? I was thinkin about gettin those instead of the SSD's because they call for a lower rms and the xmax is more..... and they're a lil cheaper too.

  23. I have had my cut out cones sitting outside since last year, out in the rain snow and sun, and the only thing that has happened to them is the cones on a few have turned white. The paper cones are still solid, foam surrounds are all good, glue holding them turned white but not loose one bit. The coils havent rusted, the coil glue hasnt let loose... they are just the same as when I cut them off other than bleeched. I have been impressed every time I look at them, so the other day I was having fun and displayed them on my porch. It stormed hard last night so I went out into the dumping rain and snapped some pics. I think drivers have come a long way over the years, as ever…

  24. I was trying to spec out a large enclosure car audio build. I am working in the range of greater than 13ft^3, but less than 14ft^3(depending on speaker displacement and thickness of mounting. I am unable to respec the box dimensions. I was wondering if this box would be capable of working with two IB315's or if this is too little of a volume for proper operation. I am looking at a QTC of between .735 and .75 depending on just how much space I lose to sub, sound proofing, and wood displacement(not sure if this calculation would stay the same with two subs sharing the same volume?). My desire for an IB setup is low power requirement needs, and using the box as built. Thanks…
