Opinions wanted I'm looking to build my box between 6-8 cubes I will be running around 3,000 watts RMS to the sub I want to spend between 400-600 $ I am not going for SPL at all, I want pure loudness and lows With that said, I have talked with quite a few people about this decision I need to make within the coming weeks and so far I have a few I am very interested in. 1.DC Audio Level 4 XL 18" 2.Fi Audio BTL N2 18" 3.DD Audio 9500G 18" 4.SSA ZCON 18" All I want are opinions about which I should go with while keeping all of my needs in check Any help is greatly appreciated and right now I'm leaning towards the DD! Check this out as well, sooo sick! 4 15" DDs

  5. Started by MalibuOn22s,

Here is my dilema. The xcons are asking like 8 cubes each...well 6-10. I can realistically only give them 6 each if that. Should I get 2 18" Xcons with a smaller box for them and only 1500 watts each? Or should I got with 1 18" FI BTL? Full powered around 2500-3000 watts in a 8+ Cubic foot box? I will be running a Audiopipe 30001d which I just ordered. And it will give me 3,000 watts at 2 Ohms Bridged So what would you guys do? One stronger 18" in the perfect box with perfect power. Or 2 xcons with a lesser box a power?

I am so siked first of all! A couple people from REO got me to look into the SSA line and I am very impressed I will be getting 2 of the Xcon 18s and I will be powering them with one Audiopipe AP-3001D. That amp needs a ton of power to put up over 2,000 watts so I plan on getting 2 2400 Kinetiks for the back and maybe a red top under my hood. I drive a 2009 Malibu 4 cylinder soo I'm not quite sure if they even make bigger alternators lol. Hopefully 3 solid batteries will do the trick! Any constructive criticism is welcome Ohh yea and for the build I am walling off my trunk. I still need to have people sick in the back at times so I will probably be putting some type of…

previous set up was a 2way; sls 8 midbass in the doors w/ a kx250.2 powering them, and a Peerless 830986 on a kicker zx100.2 in/on the a pillars. plus the mj18 ib. hu is a clarion dzx785usb (i think thats the model number irrc) problems with previous setup were that it looked bad and my attempt to fg new pods didn't improve it. it was also lacking the upper midbass region, either the 3 wouldn't play low enough or the sls wouldn't play high enough. im looking to move the midrange to the kick's and add a tweeter to the a-pillars or kicks aswell(if i dont use a full range again). (note: since i had a set of polk tweeters laying around i threw them in the a-pillar to fill …

Just looking for opinions on these components. I have searched all over and can't really find any reviews. Just checking on here to see if anyone has heard a pair. I'm sure they have decent mid-bass just by looking by the design.

alright i pretty much decided to go with 6 12's in a wall in the truck. should i roll with the T3 T600's, AQ sdc2.5's or SA 12's? i cant decide, ive already got 2 sa 12's, but the T600's can be had for 116 shipped each! subs will be run with 3 AP 1500s. one per pair. box space is limited to about 10 cu ft max after displacement.

I am in Orlando and there is a shop that my friend owns and runs and it is called Audio Excellence. Anyways when I was there the other week they had a customer's car and it was an old classic sedan. Anyways it had three 10s sealed and there was a port on the rear deck. When I asked them about it they told me that it eliminates the rattle in the trunk and fires the bass into the cabin. Has anyone know what is the true nature of doing this besides tearing up the rear deck. Thank you Ebrahim

I've had an Fi BL 15" powered by a Sundown sae-1200d in my 08' Scion tc for a few months now. Simply getting tired of having the bass drown out everything else. I know absolutely nothing about component sets or midbass speakers really, im finding this to be more difficult to learn about than subs.. I have never even heard any components or good speakers in person actually so I dont know how to tell whats good and what isnt. Bascialy my main goal is to have the vocals be heard clear and not be drowned out at all, especially when i upgrade to a btl 15" soon. Also i dont know much about tweeters I just dont want them to be so loud that it hurts my ears or anything lol. Spe…

I just recently found out about these and I currently have DLS UP6i's in my 06 trailblazer. Would there be any advantage getting the AA Carbon's over the UP's? I would like a mid that does play better in the 50hz range. It might be just me or even the install, but I find the UP's to be a bit muddy when played loud. Would it be OK, to just swap the DLS's with the Carbon's? I have the doors deadened fairly well also Overall, my main goal is to have the mid dig a little deeper, and be a little cleaner when the volume is turned up. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have an old RF punch from sometime in the 90s. I tried googling about a recone but couldn't find anything. The surround is completely gone on the woofer. I don't remember the model number, I'll take some pics of it when I get home. But everything else about the sub is fine. It's a 10 inch and I had two of them in a custom box. The other one has a broken voice coil which I'm not worried about cause it's more work. I'm curious though if anyone knows where i can get a recone for the sub.

  24. Just wondering if ANY Members remember these Sub's. They were manufactured by Still Water Designs back in the Early 90's. Most remember there 15" box because it had a whole row of 2 1/4" ports all way across the bottom of the box. But they also made some Bad A_S 10's that were sold in bass tubes. They were isobaricly stacked. If you didn't know what you were looking at you just thought it was a 10" sub in a tube. But if you looked close you would wonder WTF when you noticed that it's mounted in a 12" hole with what looks to be bolts going through the normal mounting holes. . . . . . . . . . . . They were Very expensive back then not to mention in efficient. $700 a tube an…
