To start off with, I have a 2000 Silverado ext.cab with RF 400.4 on mids/highs. Diamond Audio m361 components in the front doors and m341 components in the ream so I have quality mids/highs to hang with the subs I choose. I want to go with 2 12" subs in a 1.15cub ft box per sub(sealed). I will be running a RF BD1500.1 on the subs, at 13.8volts it puts out 1,627watts @ 2ohms. I was dead set on the IA Lethal Injection's, but I wanted to know what was everyone's impression of the FI Q. how do these two subs compare in SQ and SP?

What's up all I have a Fi Q12 that needs to be recone. I read you can use a different brand recone kit as long as specs are right? Or Is it better to use a Fi recone kit made for the Q12 from Fi or does another companies recone kit work just as well? I've never reconed a sub before and as long as the same specs are used to recone the sub everything remainds the same (rms power handling enclosure sizes ect.)? Appreciate any feedback thanks

what is the best enclosure for this sub...? ported or what? and measurements if you got them to please... i drive a 2000 jetta, and i still want trunk space after putting this sub in too.

Hello everyone, new to the forum and looking for a few thoughts or ideas. i have a brand new FI Q12 basic sub that sounds horrible in my opinion. I have had my hand in car audio for 15 years or so and this sub is driving me insane. its installed in a 2004 ram 1500 hemi and powered by a new kicker zx1500.1 in a box around 1.25 i know thats just outside the sub requirments. the speaker sounds as if its bottoming out or not getting the needed power, plenty of movement but no sound at high volume. low volume (scale of 1-20 lets say 10) the bass is clean 18-19 bottom out sound little bass 2-4" flex. i have a rockford p3d12 powered by a kivker 1500.1 in another ram it slam…

I am getting a Fi Q15 dual 2 running at 4ohms. I matched the sub with a Autotek 1900.1D mono block. I was wondering whether to go ported or sealed. I know ported is louder but it is hard for me to track down a enclosure online and I can't locate a local shop to make a custom one for me. Is it worth it to go ported or no? If so can you show me a great site that has good prices to get a box that would fit the q15. Also any comments on my set up would be greatly appreciated. FYI I am on a 650 budget. I am going to be doing a build within a few months or so and I was thinking something like 4 fi bl 18's, or 2 btls in a ported box tunes @ 30 hz. Using hifonics amps. I was just wondering which one would be better, I will be playing mostly rap and am going for loud bass not sq. So 4 bl's or 2 btl's and also was wondering which would be better, to wall it off. Or do a normal box with port facing rear and subs up. This will be in a 08 tahoe. Thanks

Hey eveybody ive been doing a little research and ive narrowed it down to these two subs and cant decide which to go with as if now for electrical i have a yellow top under the hood and the big 3 done and will be adding another battery in the back probably xs d3100 and for the amp im planning on going with cresendo 2250 and its all going in a 1988 suburban not looking for numbers just a good loud daily sub.

I would like to know, is this speaker strictly for SPL only, or does this have a decent sound quality? Please help, thanks.

I've been trying to figure out some theoretical expectations from a few subs using Winisd. I want to use a sealed enclosure, but I can't figure anything out with the SSD (12 inch Dual 2 ohm) until I know the higher qts. Does anyone know what it is? Hopefully I'm not being dumb and just can't find it.

As the title states I am stuck between the 2. I have 1.0 cubic foot sealed per sub. power will come from an alpine mrp m1000 so 1000 watts at 2 ohms. I listen to mainly hard rock ie five finger death punch, metallica etc. I like my bass hard hitting but accurate. All this will go in a 2009 chevy silverado crew cab head unit is a pioneer avh p 4300 and alpine components up front. Both subs are virtually the same price i was hoping some of you may have had a chance to compare them and what your opinions are. Also as far as the ssd's go for those of you who have them what options do you believe are important especially as far as my setup goes.Thanks in advance-Dave

I have a friend with 2 JL 10W3v3 under the back seat of his 2002 dodge ram and wants to know if he should get 2 Fi SSD 10 to replace them. I know that the SSD's handles more power, but would the switch be worth it? Thanks any input welcome.

I have 2 Fi ssd 12's that gave up on me finally. I was wondering what would be the best way to get them reconed? I have a Memphit The Mojo MC200D Amp it is 2000X1 at 2 ohm rms. Would I want to get the dual 2ohm or the dual 1ohm to run to this amp?

so what is the difference between the fi ssd and fi q. i am looking for a good daily driver and heard good things about both subwoofers.

My next setup is going to consist of a single 12" driver in a Khaotik ported enclosure. My question: As far as output goes, not SQ by any means, which is better suited for my situation? A Fi SSD 12" or an SSA ICON 12"? The sub will be seeing around 1500 watts, probably not the full 1500 but that's about RMS on the amp. I'm looking for strictly output. I have all electrical necessary for the setup. It's just that after shipping, these 2 subs are about the exact same price, and same RMS rating. Just needing input, on the output of them lol. How long do you guys recommend breaking in the ssd's b4 going to competition with them and putting a lot of power on them?

I am wondering how these subs would compare as far as sound quality and SPL. , both 15" . Both powered by either sundown SAZ 1000d or a rockford t1000bd. I want to get a good quality sub and I am leaning toward the ICON but I am wondering if the SSD is a close enough match to save some money.

Just looking for a sub that will perform well in a sealed enclosure, and take6-800 rms. willing to spend around 200,shipped. everything is pointing me towards it, but i want to double check before i pull the trigger. Thanks in advance. Dave

using my kenwood excelon x10d - 600rms at 2ohms (1ohm stable but no power rating). which would be the better sub. i listen to metal, rock, alternative rock. basicly nice accurate bass with some decent kick is the goal. i have polk db 5.25 and 1000(1in tweets) up front and 6x9s in the rear. all off the the sony hu (cdx gt310) the aa would be alittle overpowered and the fi could be run at 1ohm or 2ohm depending on vc options budget it under $200 if anyone has another option that sould be considered.

which series of fi subs are closest to the icons i seen a post on here some where and now i cant find it. someone was comparing the icons response with the bl's. i wana know if the icons are like the q's or bl's.

So I have been trying to contact FI by e-mail since I can't find a number and I am getting no response. Are they just really busy?

So why is this forum host of two different brands did the creator of one company buy out the other one or something? The subs look almost the same.

I was wondering if some of you could compare/contrast these subs for me. I'm looking for SQ. I want to go with 12's, and I would probly go w/ 1 Fi Q if I were to take Fi's route. For the TREO's, Im thinking about the 2 12's in the hotbox. Any help? Thanks.
