I need help choosing a spl/ daily. I'm going to be hooking up 2 15"s to a saz3500. I was going to go with btl but I dnt know about their new btls. I want to compete in small events here like texas heatwave but it will be my daily driver. I have looked at some dc level 5 and some re audio. Wat do you guys think I should get? Also thinkin about the aa mayhems or smds but I dnt know how they will do in spl lane

Alright so I just purchased a Sundown Audio SAX 1200d about a month ago and I have it running on an 18" Fi SSD and.. Yep its not enough bass for me obviously. I already planned on upgrading subs eventually but I just purchased the Sax 1200 so I most likely won't be upgrading amps for a while. So... If I buy a 18" Fi BTL and I only have this sax 1200 for a while ( Probably 6 months or more) will I even notice much of a difference in performance as in being louder just from switching to the 18 btl since it is still the same power source (amp) running the new sub. Like will the BTL be louder on the 1200w then another 18 ( ssd )on the same 1200w.. I mean I'm putting basically…

I got myself a Diablo Audio HF8000.1. i cant decide whether to go 4 AQ copper coil 12s in a proper size box (8.5), or 2 Aluminum coil 18s in a little too small box (10.5). im not looking for numbers, just a daily beater. my goal is to get loud but retain some decent sound while listening to music. pretty much just sounding decent while listening to music but loud.

So, a friend of mine who I havent seen in some time recently told me that he is in an urgent need of cash so he is selling all his car stuff. I didnt see anything interesting. Then he told me about his subs. He has 2 12inch MMATS Dreadnauts in a custom made, ported box. Each sub retails for $500 (woofersetc.com) + the enclosure which he says cost him an extra $350. He told me (a week ago) he would give them to me for $600, I said no. Then recently, we talked about again. He ended up lowering the price down to $300. Now, when we reached that price I said to myself "let me ask in the forums to see if its a good idea". To me, Im guessing it would be an upgrade no matter what…

So according to 12volt subwoofer wiring diagram I can wire two 2ohm DVC subwoofers to either 0.5 ohm OR 2ohm I can also wire only ONE of those subwoofers to 1ohm My question is, if I want to stick to 1ohm using those two 2ohm DVC subwoofers Can I just wire EACH sub to 1ohm, then run them to the amp each SEPARATELY from each other so that I keep 1ohm resistance? I have a Sundown 2000D

what does this motor/woofer compare to something out now? something along the lines of a BL, Death Row? just looking to get an idea of what they are similar to im thinking of making some into 18s

I have a 2003 Saab 9-3 and it come with the factory 7 Speakers. These speakers are 3 3.5in on the Dash (left, center, and right). I have 6.75 in the front doors and 4in in the rear deck. I am looking at a few different brands and was wondering if you could help me out. Even more so i am looking at possibly using 2 different brands. I am looking at a Focal Access 3 way component system and i would like to place all these components into the front door. Next i am looking at either MB Quart or Boston Accoustics to place in the front dash (the 3 3.5in speakers) and i will redo the rear deck with fiberglass work and i will replace the 4in speakers with probably some sort …

so, as the title states i am looking to put together my own set of components. i found this silver flute mid that looks like it has a great flat response in the vocal ranges. does anyone think this thing will perform as its specs show? seems to good to be true for somthing of this price.and it will be paired with a sb acoustics tweeter crossed over at 2500 hz.(second order crossover) https://www.madisound.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=846

I am looking at these Treo SSx series components and am wanting to know if anyone has heard them or knows anything about them? I am curious as to how that dual tweeter design sounds and what the price of these things are. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, I need 2 12" subs for a friend of mine. He has an MTX TE 4000 to run them. He doesn't really know what to get. He drive a small car (renault Clio) with a hatchback. He will be able to fit a 3 to 3.5 ft3 ported box in his trunk. He's still undecided ! AA Mayhems are his first choice, but I asked Some info about the DC Level 4 xl, and he saw the Orion HCCA. He seems to like the Orion. But we never listened to any of those subs. What do you think about those 3. I think the Orion is not the best choice, but when he reads the specs, he likes them : low Fs, high sd, big motor !!! What can I tell him to choose? All those 3 are in the same budget , with shipping.

I need help deciding on a pair of subs for my new setup. This setup I'd going in an Isuzu Trooper, and so far I have it sound deadened with sound deadened showdowns, I have the component setup run off of a Sundown 2.250, and I now need help making a decision on a pair of subs based on my box and the amount of power I can run. I already got the box professionally made and it's 8cubes tuned to 33hz. hey everyone...so i just installed my new audiopipe ap15001d about a week ago and am loving it! this icon is a totally different beast now! for a single 12'' it makes things rattle like crazy! i have set the gain with a dmm for about 900 watts or so (my box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz with 37.5 sq inches of port so i dont have it at the full 1000 because the box is the manufactures maximum size) but recently i have noticed some poping and cracking noises coming from the sub during certain songs. now it doesnt do it on every song and there are about 3-4 that are making it do this. I need some opinions on the Death Penalty... I will be running 3k rms to each 15'' DP that im going to order tomorrow and im wondering if anyone here has experience with that sub. I would like to see some opinions on this woofer as nobody around here runs IA... I have only heard 4 21'' wardens before and that was a burp van so yea.... I have a set of Bravox Audio CS60K components and i was wondering if anyone could recommend crossover points? Ive read that the supplied passives low-pass the mid 1000hz@6db and high-pass the tweet at 4200hz@19db. I'm using a 3sixty.2 and the slopes i have are 12 and 24db and powering the components with a T400-4, any recommendations are appreciated.

Looks like I desoldered a tinsel lead from my BTL...on accident. It looks like it's too short...I resoldered it already but I can't turn it up loud or I get a scraping from (guessing) the lead being too short causing the cone/coil to rock. Can I just desolder the lead from the landing, resolder a piece of 12ga stranded wire to the landing and crimp the lead to that? Or should I order 5 meters of tinsel from an online vendor and try to desolder the lead from a difficult spot near the cone and try to do it "right"? Thoughts? Thanks.

So currently I have my six sa-10's wired up to a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and I'm hoping to get more out of this setup. I have a second saz-3500d coming tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll bridge the two amps after upgrading my electrical (acouple d3100's). I'm curious if you guys think this approach is sane or if you think the subs are going to smoke from the extra juice. I realize this is most likely one of those near impossible to answer questions that gets asked here all too often. Also, subs are turned to 32hz with 1.3cf each. Thanks.

Hey guys, I am looking for a design for a 12 inch subwoofer box. The thing is that it has to be with kerfed port and flushed driver, 1.75 cub feet for a SA-12 tuned to 35hz. The closed thing I was able to find were these two but no kerfing and the second one is a bit bigger than needed(double baffle will be just redone as flush mount). Does anyone have any already made ones or can help with redoing these? If it was not a kerfed box I would just put another sheet on top for flush mount but it has to be on the inside and that will mess up the net volume. I am just new to all this...
