I have most/recieving the items listed. CSS FR125s Adire SMF7's RE XXX 6.5" mids Coustic XM-7 2 AC EQTs need an amp. All will be going in a new vehicle I will be getting.

Hi, can someone tell me which components to get in the $100 range.. I want that clean crisp highs if possible for that price.. thanks..

I'll try to keep this short as possible. The other day I was browsing through the classsifieds over at ca.com. I stumbled upon an MX 12. So I said to myself that id like to try an MX, I heard great things about them, also they look sexy for my inverted install. So I offered to trade my 12" mag(current gen) for it. He said cool. i traded. I have had the mx now for about 3 weeks. I must say Im dissappointed The sound was kinda up there with the mag but it didnt have that certain "crisp" edge of sq that I liked in the mag. I could deal with that fine. But the absolute sh!ttiest part is. The DAM Mechanical Noise the MX puts out. Its ridiculous to hear that much noise coming …

Just curious if anyone has experience wit the new zcon subs yet. Was thinking of running around 4k on an 18 if they can take it daily, or if 3k would me more like it.

I just bought some Kicker 1/0 gauge power wire kit and I'm having a difficult time figuring out how exactly I'm supposed to get the thick 1/0 wire into the ANL Fuse holder(which came included with the Kicker amp kit by the way). Here are some pictures to show you exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance. I'll check back real soon as I would like to continue the install tomorrow if time permits. Ps. I'm sure all of us has heard the emphasized S sound. The high-hat that makes you blink every time you hear it. I have always heard that tweeters tend to be personal taste and vary person to person but man is it hard for me to listen to a blaring titanium or aluminum dome tweeter for a extended period of time. I'm looking for some supplementary highs that are "smooth" so to speak. I have been very impressed with silk dome tweeters but i'm looking for other suggestions. They can't be like 25 watts rms too. Hi guys I helped my buddy make a box for a rockford p3 slim 12 he picked up. I was curious as to how it would sound. And excited because I've seen videos online and never heard one in person. We built a to spec box using the Rockford website and I tuned it to 35. Seeing as how it's a shallow I didn't think there was need to hit low bass. Anyways it sound s pretty good. Im about to be getting my car and my system is going in ASAP. I know I want a D2, but I cant decide which size. I would like to have a 15 since it gets louder and lower and I mostly listen to rap music, but will the 4.5 cu ft box fit in my trunk ok? I am getting a 1990 BMW 325is so it has a decent sized trunk, but how big is it gonna be really? Anyone have any pics of that sized box? Also, do you think I REALLY need the 15? I plan on running 1100 watts to the sub. This will be my first system so I really don't know a whole lot about the actually sound of things, just word of mouth. okay i need helping finding the best sub/ subs for me. heres what i have so far: Sundown Audio SAE 1200D 2.2 cuft max box area 6.5" mounting depth is the max i can get for the subs $350 price range overall my goals are to get something that is loud but also sounds good. im leaning towards 1 10" Fi BL with cooling and flatwind coil. but does anybody else have any recommendations? i have a 08zx750.1 kicker mono amp and i have been looking into the ia lethal injection sub but not sure what type of inclosure to go with. If you are using this sub what spec inclosure do you recommend im looking with going with a porter box but unsure what port tune and size.According to reaserching 32hz sounds good but is it good for my type of music hip-hop/trance your input is appreciated.

I keep reading topics where people say hdc's really perform after u put a 2200 on it. I got two md2ds and was going to put one on each sub. 1500 a piece. But if they won't perform until 2200 should I still consider these? If not what's a better choice? DC lvl 4xl? Xcon?

I have decided to go with 2 sets of Iseries comps and a 10" DCON for drivers. I will be running all off of a SAX 100.4. One set each on channels 1&2 with the sub bridged across 3&4. My question is which of the 3 box designs in the download section will be best at this power level(320wrms)? It will be for daily use with no intentions of competeing. My music tastes are metal/rock with the occasional hip hop/thecno thrown in for showoff purposes. Thanx for any help/info.

if i were to get 2 audioque 2200d amps and 2 audioque HDC3 12" subs(an amp per a sub) wired down to 1 ohms could the copper series handle it or would i have to buy the aluminum? this is for daily use! also on the audioque website it says 1000 watts rms 2000 watts peak for those subs. but also on there it says you can hook 1 2200d with one HDC3 sub. the amp puts out 2200 at 1 ohms so how would this not damage or blow the sub?

A 33w 16h 18.5d space for an enclosure a 1995 accord coupe a sundown 1500 for power i listen to classic rock and rap. i have approximately a $500 budget for two woofers. spl is my goal, but i do not want a fart box. i want loud low music nothing more. couple of woofers i was thinking about: IA DR 12d1 fi Q d1 ssa icon d1 PAP WMD 12d1 (they're so cheap!) im running a RE sx 15d2 that has been reconed by fi with some cooling and suspension upgrades. i'm open to suggestions on woofers and box designs, what port size, length and orientation especially.

After looking through diycable.com, I came across the Exodus Maelstrom line subwoofers. I am getting the Ex-Anarchys and when I saw the 21" monster I did some investigating. I have seen that it is apparently a beast of a home theater sub so I thought I would run an idea by you guys. How about two of these in a 20 ft.^3 box tuned to somewhere in the neighborhood of 24Hz? I was thinking maybe a couple of sundowns, 2500ds or 3500ds, or something like that to run them. I would be looking for absurd low end response, and I know it's not a SPL sub by any means, but what kind of output would that yield?
