hey, posting this up for future reference for people that might need the info i have an old 12" claw basket mag and the surround is torn on it. i am wondering: 1- is it possible to get a recone on it? or do you guys only do the new subs 2- if it is possible, is it possible to keep the same look of the old mag? or would it look like the new ones after the recone? 3 -and how much would a recone cost thanks

So today I was all set to order my crescendo 2000 . I had planned on a single xcon 15..... anyways. My wife needed me to run to the store and right when I was leaving a person accepted an offer on a mmats 3500.1. Now I have no plan. Are there any 15 subs that run on 2750 daily and can play in a 3cf box?

I have a 2010 Dodge Nitro. Right now i am running two 12'' dvc 4 ohm L7s with a 2500.1 kicker amp- so 4ohm load. Now it only puts out 1250 @ 4 ohms and 2500@ 2, but it slams them pretty hard- they are 750 rms. Now i do mostly listen to rap music or techno so i like the thump thump thump thump. I am very curious about the BTLs and was wondering if they are capable of slamming harder than the L7s. I was thinking about going with one 12" considering my amp is 2500 @ 2. I need help deciding and i really want to be a believer in Fi cuz all the videos i saw on you tube amazed me. Which is better for 2 12" 9500s? A hifonic brutus 2000 or 2600? how many watts should i put to em?

Im getting a new vehicle as soon as mine dies which is going to be in a couple of months im upgradeing the system as well with the nw purchase so with that said I need suggestsions on cars that 2x 15" SI D2's will fit in. I also need good gas mileage i seem to drive alot and my current car sucks my money... so any suggest is welcome thanks.

The SI website says that it recommends 3.5ft^3 tuned to 27hz for the 15" and that the RMS is 975w. Would it be ok in a 4.06ft^3 enclosure tuned to 34hz running off of a solid 1200w rms? Oh yeah....wuddup Denim?!

what could have gone wrong? i dont have a subwoofer yet. i made a thread about that. and will be getting a subwoofer later but for now i just got the SPR 60C, alpine type R components the midbass is like gone. my cheapo stock speakers had slightly more midbass than these... they are powered by a pioneer amp, GM-D8604 what could be wrong? or are components supposed to have barely any bass whatsoever.... its pretty bad. the highs are very clear. a bit too harsh highs but when i set the headunit to EQ the bass up, the bass sounds bad, slight increase in bass, but pretty bad quality bass? I have been getting a lot of opinions lately for sq subs, amps and setups. I was wondering, per a suggestion earlier, That if I ran 8's in my door for mid bass and a 3" woofer for mid range in kick panel with tweets in A pillar. Has anyone ever made a custom speaker pod in the A piller for a 3" or a 4 " woofer. And if so how does it sound, what are the trouble you run into with that kind of set up. I am trying to shy away from kick panels just cause I am a big guy and the kicks being so low I am afraid I will lose alot of imaging. So tonight I installed some under-the-dash neons for a friend of mine who will be getting a Mag 12 with two of Sundown Audio's amplifiers and Boston comp's up front. Anyway, sorry for not hosting these but get on IE or shut up. PS: I know I'm a lazy bastage when it comes to hosting pics so everyone can see them but ... I have been flippin back and fourth between subs for a good two weeks just drivin myself crazy. I have finally decided on RE. I can't quite decide if i want to go with 1 15'' SX, or two 12'' Ses. Either way ill go ill probably get an amp just to match the rms, maybe two hundred more, so that being the 15 is 1000, and the 2 twelves are 1200 total, HELP!!

hey guys! so im in a little stuck. im going to be gutting out my old system and throwing a 1cuft ported or maybe bigger (if i can) under the back seat of my truck. i just went to a shop and they had some demo cars with just one Avionixx amp i believe a 2800m series and one 12" Concept sub of some sort and sounded awesome. its not a crazy set up, but that sounded great to me.. SO has anyone heard of these two brands? i sure havent. would the above set up be any better then the audioque 1200 amp and 10" fi bl i plan on doing? thanks in advance for any info!!

I've been set on trying to get a AE AV-12x, but they are so far behind that, I don't think I'll be able to get one anytime soon. Does anyone have any suggestions for a sub that works best in a small, sealed enclosure. i don't have an amp yet, so power isn't of concern, and I'm looking for something with great SQ, but I do like to crank it up once in a while. thanks for any input.

currently i have 2 12" boston acoustic g5 subs with 2 12" gtr passive radiators running off a mtx 1501D in the spare tire well firing up. im not satisfied with the spl and want something louder. im thinking about taking them out of the spare tire well and removing my rear strut bar and then make a box where the subs can fire towards the rear of the car or fire them towards the cabin since there is only a metal cross brass between the trunk and cabin (2003 mitsu evo 8). since i have the gtr radiators, im also considering firing my subs to the rear of the car and have the gtr radiators fire towards the cabin all in a sealed enclosure (shown in an example on boston's websit…

Well went to tare down my zcon 15. Going to be reconing to a 12... and the screws holding the basket to the motor are completely striped(from ssa) any idea how I'm going to get this off? Don't really wanna go spend money on a whole buch of stuff to get his off or have to re thread the motor I don't wanna mess up anything. Going to need to put the 12 basket on when I get it

I had a 08 Fi Bl18 on apprx 1000 watts 7.5 cubes tuned 32hz and I liked the output. I am wondering considering the Bl is a more spl orriented sub and the Fi q is mor sq oriented how much out put am i going to sacrifice if i went with the q. I have now a Fi BL18 09 model fully loaded on ~1500 watts in the same enclosure. I havent heard this one yet as the amp is pending delivery. the next question is would a Incriminator Audio DP 18 in the same box on ~ 1500 watts. would i get the same or more output than the Bl18 and better sq possibly as good as the Q? the reason I ask all this i have no way to audition any of these subs and, Its kinda expensive to just buy 'em to try 'e…

I am going to buy a 1500W amp and thinking of purchasing a U series Sundown Audio 12” subwoofer, I have a Sound Ordnance BassBunker ported for 1.83 cubic foot volume with 34 hertz frequency. This sub says it needs 2.0ft^3 for ported, will my box be just enough to use this sub or not? I don’t want to really build/purchase new box as I just got this one. Any info would be helpful!

So right now i have 2 15" Fi Q's but im starting to get annoyed with them, They are in a 9 cubic feet box tuned to 33 hz (thats probally 7.5 cubes after port and displacement) Anyway they hit the low notes very hard but the high's suck, I heard the can somehow be reconed into a bl or changed into a bl is this true?

I haven't heard much about these subs and are curious about them for a friends vehicle. Was just wondering how these subs are and how they compare to other subs in there power range? Like the RE Audio SR's, DC Sound Lab Level 2's, SS RL-i series and AA Assassins? My friend is looking for a good pair of 12s to power off a 600 watt Kicker amp. He wants it to get loud and sound clean in a ported enclosure. The Dcons look promising but I haven't heard much feedback about them since they were released.

Okay, so I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with installs on a toyota prius. I've researched a little bit and can't find all that much. I'm looking to maybe get two SSA GCON 12s. And I'd like to get around a 1300 watt amp to power them. But I'm not sure how much a Prius can handle. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I was looking to see what some opinions of each of these, or the goods and bads of both, i will be running a audiioque 2200d amp, in a 2 or 2.5 cube box, in a daily setup so which would be a better sub? And does fi have any kind of warranty at all?

So I have pretty much decided that I am going to choose 1 of 2 things.. I have 4 Memphis Mojo 15s right now and I am either going to a) do a third row wall or b) buy two DD9518g's The reason for the third row wall is because I don't have enough space for my batteries and amps with a traditional box right now because my truck isn't that big. What do you guys think? Keep the 4 or sell them off and go with 2 18s?

I have a ia dr on prob 6 or 700 watts. The amp is a brutes 1200 soon to have big 3 and a yellow top under the hood. Space is no problem I have a 07 trailblazer. I like my 12 but I want to be louder.I was thinking about 6 12" or 6 10" skars at one ohm so prob about 200 watts to each. Would this be a good upgrade cuz I really wana try the skars out
