i decided to put this in the right forum section this time. my question is which sub would be better suited for me. ive got a gmc sonoma ext. cab and im wanting 2 15's ported but i want something thats gonna be loud but sound good doing it. any help is appreciated

Well i finally got my gcon 15 put in on saturday and for some reason all the owner of the store wanted to do is play songs as loud as he could. When talking to my friend i over heard him say thats the loudest F350 I have ever heard and probably ever will hear. I was held up at the store for a good 20 minutes after they had the sub installed and i didnt have to pay anything for the install. Thanks Mark and Arron for all the help SSA for life.

Thanks Mark for the response on ca.com about my delimah of sub desicions.I got the maw in a rather large box.4cuftplus port of 64sq in x20 long so roughfly 5.5cuft.total. it sounds great and gets pretty loud and low.I like it a lot but always want more.I love the enclosure and am just looking to upgrade sub for more output and wiring flexibility/get to 1ohm.opinions and experience with the ixl 15 seems very very limited.Its going in an s-10 with blowthru.i had origianally bought 2 maws but only used 1 sold the other.I really like the looks of this ixl 15.whats your take on it.like i said,box may be alittle bigger than you recommend,but the maw loves it.i like the sq just …

my bosses son has a 03 chevy 1500 cab and a half with the 4 speaker non onstar,. from what i know it has 6.5s in the fron doors with a what seems .5 inch tweeter mounted above the 6.5 ..... the 6.5s are trashed, i wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with just replacing the driver... i have a pair of 6.5 mid bass speakers laying around brand new in box, they are 4 ohm. i wanted to just switch out the driver and leave the tweeter, looking for anyone that has been in the doors, thanks

As of right now I have 2 dd1508s on a MB quart discus 1.5k. I'm looking to get rid of my 8s and upgrade to a single 15. Power output of my amp I'd 4ohm=375 2ohm=750 and 1ohm=1500. I have plenty of space to work with (olds bravada(blazer)). 2 agm deep cycles, and a 200a alt. Depending whether I sell them or trade them I was seeing what people would recommend on my power supply that is reasonable. Like I said I might not buy new if I can get a decent trade for them. Any ideas? (I know daily or spl will be asked and it needs to be all around. This is a daily driver but I do meca on weekends.)

I have a 95 s10 which im planning to put some new gear in. first i will be using the new brz3000.1D ( which is cea certified btw) it is 3000w rms at 1 ohm. I have enough room to fit 2 15" btl's, but i was wondering how much of a difference going with 2 btl 12's would be compared to the btl 15's? i have a 150 amp alt and i will be using the biggest batt. xs offers. I am asking this for a co worker of mine wanting to get a single 12 Skar Audio VVW12. It is rated at 600RMS and I know it can take more power easily. Now my question is that he has a all JL setup and has 2 12 W0's in a JL ported box. That box is huge and doesn't sound to good to me. I would like to replace it with a single Skar and run it off his JL J2 500.1 amp. It is rated at 500RMS @2ohms. Will this be enough power to use with the Skar? He is doing this because in his 2006 4DR Civic the other box is taking up all his space, I am thinking being custom built box the single sub will be less space and sound alot better. Just curious if anyone here has any experience with these speakers. Everything I've found on google is in German for the most part. The set I was looking at was the SLX 265.20 X-Plain component speakers. From what I've gathered, these are the entry level speakers from Rainbow. Just wondering how these performed compared to other component sets in this price range. I can get the component set for $175.00 shipped.

I'm really stuck on this guys please help me out. Which amp do you think would make a really good pairing with the magnum 15''? I want to keep it under 1000 watts so there is no need to upgrade electrical. My budget is $450 and under preferably under 400 though. I've been looking at soundstream rubicon series and the tarantula series T700W amp what do you think of these two amps? Also for cheaper maybe a hifonics 1000W? I'm really stuck please just give me some suggestions to look into thank you very much.

Was thinking about switching to a SPL 12" Mach 5 Audio sub or a Fi BTL 12" ... My question is about the SPL 12", can they be modded to Dual 1 ohm's or is Dual 2 the standard? Also, would I be underpowering the Mach 5 with 2 Sundown Audio 1500D's or would it be just right? Ive read quite a few different posts on the net and there seems to be an argument with what the correct port area for one of these subs is. Im trying to come up with a new box and im unsure on what kind of port area i need. Ive seen on the smd forums someone said the minimum should be 52 sqin of port, then ive seen the number 38 sqin on other, and also had someone say they contacted sundown and it should be 20 sqin?? This is the only thing keeping me from starting on a new box. Can someone please help me out with this? If it helps, box will be around 2cubes at 30hz ran with a hifonics brz2100. I have been out of the car audio game for sometime. One thing that has always been hard for me about car audio, is it is really impossible to say that brand x is better than brand y and that everyone has an opinion regarding their equipment or product line. Realizing that I also believe that there are products outside the main stream distrubtion that are equally as good if not better for less cost. This is where I want my journey to begin... alright. i have totalled up tha cost of four RF p3 15's and a SAZ-3000D and it is in the are of $1700-$2000. i want to knwo of course, if this setup gonna be any good? it will be in a honda crv tuned to about 26Hz and running @ .5ohm and i will set it to about 900-1000w a woofer. will this win me anything but a consolation prize? or will i b reigning champ? i only have enuf for the box for the 15's and the components. none for dynamat or stuff. dont want to do anything permanet to the car bcuz it aint mine, my friend is considering lettin me use his. thanks for any feedback.

Hi guys i'm brand new here so take it easy on me. i would like some help. i bought a 15 inch alpine type r dual 4 ohm coils. My ass has been asking this on just about EVERY forum, but because I'm an indecisive idiot, I'm gonna ask here. Okay so I've got a Honda Fit hatch, looking to put the ol' audio in. I'm pretty much set on everything but the subwoofer. Comps: Alpine Type-X Refs, 6.5 Comp amp: Profile AP600 (got it for $55!)
