i hit 143.8 in a sealed box in my rsx with 2 15's and a jbl 1200.1

It was a local audio shop's competition that I heard about and entered at the last minute (I got metered at their last one with my previous setup: 2 RF HX2 subs on a 1001D Fosgate amp and I got a 146.0) This time around..... 159.9 outlaw on SPL170 mic (I think this is the right mic) Second overall, first in class Running one 15" D2 on a Hifonics 1500D in 3.2ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure I was satisfied with my score and I think I suprised (and scared) some people

just sold my 2 type r's(way too tired if seeing them EVERYWHERE). i need a new setup. I have a pg rsd1200.1 amp which runs a true 1200. i'm looking at a couple different subs in fi's line, but i'm totally open to new stuff. i want a setup that leans more towards spl. I listen to rap, but i dont just want sloppy loud. I drive an SUV so space is not a concern. dual 15's? dual 12's? or should i go with a single really powerful sub? (i would like to fill my trunk a lil bit. I like a nice display so i wouldnt mind even like 3 or 4 cheaper subs) Price range- 300-400 (400 being very most)

i got my 18 XXX today. it has broken tinsel leads that were semi repaired with speaker wire. though still broken. the surround is scuffed bad all the way around but the duscap is still pretty. lol. motor is still in really good condition other than a scrape on the very bottom. i tested the coils with a DMM and they both read 2.4-2.5. if i remember clearly(haven't tested my 15xxx in a while) though not 100% sure but aren't the coils supposed to be like at 1.7-1.8? so what i was thinking was what should i do?? i still have about 2ft of tinsel lead i got from fi. i was contemplating on resoldering all the leads then just sticking it to a wall socket and take a vid, but that…

Well I had a chance to get a sub I have long dreamed of buying at a price I couldn't refuse. It still made my bank account cry for mercy but as some of you know I'll do almost anything for audio Without further ado, her is my brand-shiny-new Aura NS15 Here it is with the IdMax.... kinda makes it look dainty Top view.... note different approaches to the same 24-25mm of xmax. Side showing cooling solution. This thing has a 4" voicecoil... and I guess that means it needs a 3.5" pole vent? Last we have the model sticker and one of the binding posts.... interesting design. Now I need to choose; car or HT?!

well i got my system installed for now all i can say is that the mag rips apart my last system as far as clarity, and is almost as loud in my humbel opinion.

well got my subs today from the new years sale.one of the boxes was beat up pretty bad but the sub seems fine.Build quality and looks of sub seem very nice.BUT wow what a SOFT suspension.i hope these subs can handle 600 watts each,i know they are rated at 500 but i saw mark post that he'd seen people run 700 on'em with no problems. definitly will go with marks box and port size and lenght suggestions.hopefully he'll answer that for me in this thread.anyway,i look forward to installing my whole setup this coming week,temps forecasted for mid 60s.trying to figure out how to post pics of progress.

I know you guys are thinking about how my radio has anything to do with SI...well, not having a radio for 4.5 weeks tends to drive an audiophile crazy. I used my Ipod with my Shure E4c ($299 retail) earbuds, but I was still missing it big time. Today I got my HU back and had it installed...well...the installer halfway did it and I had to finish it. His explanation...LOL..."I have never seen a radio with this many wires" (talking about my Eclipse 8053). I had written down all my setting before I had my deck servised. Sorry i am just so excited like a kid on christmas, they were waiting for me on my door when i got home from the gym, mannnnn these things are soo beefy, i own some DD 1008's and thought nothing else could touch them until i opened these up, they are built like a brick shithouse! my wife couldnt even pick 1 of them up, i cant wait to break them in and then cause some chaos, btw im going with a sundown 1200D, but still need someone to build me a box im horrible with that stuff

So I got my 2 sets of 6.5s for my envoy the other day in the mail. But the weather sucks andi have no garage or expertise in installing then.... so anyone around kokomo with a garage and tools feel like helping me out??? Lol

Hopefully box construction starts tomorrow. I hope to have it in before the weekends over. Too bad I have tests I need to be studying for this week.

I went over to mark's house and got to play with his Term Lab. Magic freq was 42hz and i did a 145.7 off a Tone and 143 off music. the van is nothing but rattles though. Box is tuned to low 30's. wasnt able to run everything at full tilt because of voltage loss.

built the box yesterday, didnt carpet the sides because I ran out of spray adhesive. I did all the work, played with the gain and xover on the amp for a while listening to a bunch of different music, and I think what happened was a combo of me going slightly deaf, the amp getting hot and starting to lose effieciency, maybe voltage dropping, and the sub not being broken in yet, because I thought it was pretty good but when I put the seat back up it didnt seem loud at all. so I basically went inside a little depressed that it wasnt an improvement over the old setup. met my girl when she got off work (its her car) and I told her that I wasnt satisfied and Id buy her another …

well i got home from work 2day and found my 12" Mag thanks alot nick deliverd it quickly and everything ... now 2marro time to go get it installed ^.^ ill be posting picks of the done install... and finally get to hear what this sub can do... also really like that not stating to let the sub break in a bit before pushing it ill let ya'll know how it comes out... costing me 850$ for the damn install custom box dynamat everywere and removing all my side panels and my 2 front seats to place the amps under the seats and also for the wiring... stupid components to install them i have to pull the whole damn panels off :/ bah oh well... ITS GONNA BE WORTH IT... THANKS AGAIN …

how should I wire my (2) 12" Mags, for max power? Running off an IA 20.1 The subs are 2ohm DVCs. TIA Nick

Well don't know if you guys remember or not but I was going to do a comparison between the D2 15" and the xxx 15" so I bought both, the RE 15" is coming and I haven't heard it yet so I don't want to cancel my order cause I want a chance to hear it first, if I like the RE sub I'll keep it, if not I'll buy another D2. My nitrous setup is going to cost a little more than I spected so the wife made me compromise Its in mint condition. Just bought it last week. maybe has 2-3 hours on it. I'm selling it for the same price as nick sells them. If I don't get the money oh well i'll just keep it I guess cause its worth no less. Since they will not be available for a few month…

For those who have bougth DC Sound Lab products. I am a witness to the dedication to keep us happy w/ their excellent service. Due to clipping from my amp my tinsel leads on my lvl4 12's had burned. Emailed Rusty Flowers, he told me to send them back, to be reconed. Shipped them off and they were back in no time, w/ no cost to me. What would be some great sounding compents.I'm way out dated on this.everything in my car is factory minus my hu and my six year old 3 way pioneer 6x9's.pioneer use to b my only choice but things aren't made the same anymore.
