just sold my 2 type r's(way too tired if seeing them EVERYWHERE). i need a new setup. I have a pg rsd1200.1 amp which runs a true 1200. i'm looking at a couple different subs in fi's line, but i'm totally open to new stuff. i want a setup that leans more towards spl. I listen to rap, but i dont just want sloppy loud. I drive an SUV so space is not a concern. dual 15's? dual 12's? or should i go with a single really powerful sub? (i would like to fill my trunk a lil bit. I like a nice display so i wouldnt mind even like 3 or 4 cheaper subs) Price range- 300-400 (400 being very most)

Hey I am just wondering what would be better for SQ and SPL.. 2 x Maw12 in 3.6 cubic foot tuned to 32-33hz OR 1 x Maw15 in 3.0 cubic foot tuned to 30hz 500 RMS to either the 1 maw15 or 2x maw 12, so power is the same for both. Anyone have a decent answer?

  3. I'm looking for some expert advice from the makers of the drivers. About 2 years ago I purchased 2 18IBs. I built a IB sub in the ceiling and about 2 months later I sold the house and moved. Before moving I pulled my 18s from the ceiling and now they are sitting in my closet. The big problem is my new home is not conducive to the IB design (no basement, flat roof). So, the question is can I use the IB drivers in a sonotube design? If not, why not? If I did, although it may not be ideal, what should I expect? Any light you can shed is much appreciated. Richard

Yep, so I just got done with my box for an Eclipse Ti 12" and wow, I could not be anymore frustrated or upset. Just wow.........It sounds like complete as*. Box is 1.25^3 net, and the sub is getting about 300 watts. It just sounds so, punchie way way way way to punchie not enough deep bass. I don't care that I lost output, I expected that but for the love of god when you go to sealed it's suppose to be SQ dam*it. I dunno, I'm about to go get some polly fill and see if that helps the problem sorry for the childish post but I'm just really upset right now.

i currently have a 12" rlp sealed getting 600 watts, but it just isn't quite loud enough. I found about three other alternatives but I'm not sure what is the best choice, whatever I get, I would get a new amp to properly power it. Choice 1: a 15" rlp Choice 2: TWO 12" Image Dynamics ebay woofers- http://cgi.ebay.com/Image-Dynamics-OEM-12-...1QQcmdZViewItem Choice 3: THREE 10" AA Assassin subs - http://www.ascendantaudio.com/assassin10specs.html Either choice sounds fun, but my overall goal is to be loud while still sounding good (i listen mainly to rock, so i like nice tight accurate punchy bass)

Goal is a stealth setup and enclosure needs to be small. Something capable of good output and above avg sound quality too. I would like to do a low-tuned ported alignment or a sealed in the .75-ish QTC zone. I have 900(+) RMS at 2 ohms or 600(plus) at 4 to work with. Will be built under armrest in a 97 Chevy Silverado. I realize I'm asking a lot, just looking at options.

well, i am having trouble on deciding which maw to go with; 12 or 15. i am looking for LSQ. my setup is as follows: HU: Eclipse 5423 Comps: PG RSd65CS Amp: Kicker KX700.5 (140wx2 @ 4ohms, 400wx1 @ 2 ohms) i am working with the trunk of a mustang so space is limited. if i went with the maw 15, which i was planning on, it would have to go in a sealed enclosure with the sub facing upwards towards the rear deck (no rear fill, deadened) - which i read was not a great idea. if i went with the maw 12 i have room to go ported, but obviously loose cone area. i dont have any experience with either sub, so i figured you guys are the ones to help me out. it just seems that for nearly…

So i blew my morel supremo's.. 440$. Nice. Anyway what other tweeters are out there that sound great but are cheaper. I was on madisound and was looking at other morel drivers. The tweeters are so much cheaper then what i paid for these supremo's. I still want to get them but they are expensive and now i am questioning if they are worth it. Any tweeter recommendations would be appreciated. I am running a pioneer 9800 headunit off a sundown 100.4 amp. My mids are SEA excel's.

Ok a lil background, puttin together a system for my rsx and so far I've got 2 18" Xcons (putting them in separate sealed boxes because both won't fit in the car without folding the seats down) with either a crescendo 3500 our a used saz 3500. For the front I've got polk audio mm 6.5" components and for the back seats mm 5 and a quarter coax. For electrical I've got a mechman 270 alt and two xs batteries. My question is whether I should get a set of morel maximo 6's and a set of morel 5c's. I've seen a lot of people say good things about the morel's I'm just wondering if it would be worth it since I already have the polks. I would try both to see which ones I like and se…

  12. Hey guys, I was originally going to run my Treo Engineering SSX 18", but decided I don't want to go through upgrading the alternator. Where is the most you recommend running off the stock ALT with an upgraded battery? Can I get away with 2KW? I'm looking to run 2x15's now, something around 750RMS. I'm not to familiar with this power range, what do you guys recommend? Something around $150 each preferably Needs to fit in a 2010 Maxima

I have been running a Fi Q 18 tuned at 28Hz off 1500w RMS for a few years now and I love the way it sounds however, I think I want to upgrade to get more output. I will also be upgrading to 2000-2500w RMS. Honestly I really want more of what I have now in terms of sound because I love the way it sounds but I do not want to get a second one because I do not have the room and I do not want to upgrade to 3000-3500w RMS. I do not compete and I never will. I do not care what numbers I hit or what it sounds like outside the vehicle I just want loud good sounding music. I listen to almost strictly electronic music which to be honest is kind of all over the place in terms of freq…

I am trying reach the highest decibels I can with what I have, a 2006 V8 Lincoln LS. I have done the big3 and am ordering an extra battery with isolator to replace my 2fd cap. I have 1-15" ssa icon D2 in 4^ft @32hz sub firing up and port into cabin, Hifonics gladiator 1000.1 @ 1ohm, hifonics zues 80.4, Sony GDX-GT660UP headunit. two pairs of cadence cw6kits comp in the rear, one pair of American bass 6.5 mids and a pair of silk tweeters in the front and on front sails. The only issue i'm struggling with is the bass. I know I can get more out of the sub but cant figure it out. Hey, i've been looking for days on the internet but there are just too many subs to choose from. I asked about what subwoofer would be best for me on another forum but lets say they werent very helpfull. So im looking for a single or 2 subwoofers (dont know what's best yet) for in my car. I got a kind of low budget but i just want to get some nice bass. It is for daily use btw, if it matters. I live in The Netherlands, so im not sure if all subwoofers can be shipped to here. So, what i found yet: http://www.pimtensen.nl/shop_details.php?grp_id=6&sub_id=18&cur_id=7117 (Is it any good because it costs only $66??) Or something like this: http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/pr…
