Well currently i have 2 IA DP D2 12's and a 40.1 i am installing soon. I have an oppertunity to pick up a second 40.1 in a trade. My question is would a 40.1 on each DP be to much running each 40.1 at 1ohm?? I am sure each DP will take a 40.1 for burps but what about daily? Thanks!!

ok well no feedback from my thread in the sub topics so im reposting similar in here, ive got four of the dp 21's and i need help on enclosure type and size, i like bass thats loud and low, i have an astro van so room isnt too big of an issue, 21's are new to me so i need all the help i can get, what would be better for my situation, 8 or 10 cubes per sub and what would be the best port size per cube and what should i tune it to, hopefully the people on this section have had the pleasure of experiencing the joys of hearing the 21's firsthand,also what would be the best box setup for all out loud walled by the b pillars, walled all the way to the back or in the back with t…

I currently have my 7.5@35 box that I used for my RE SX 18", I sold the sub, time for something new. I'm curious as to how a 18" DP will do in 7.5@35 on about 2700rms off an orion xtr pro 2400d @ 2 ohms, using a 18" 1 ohm dvc 18" dp??? I know its not a sq woofer but will it sound anywhere in the realm of ok musically for a everyday street beater??? And will that box work for that sub.. All in a 95 blazer.

Well, I think I have ample time into this sub now, and I've been promising this review, so here it goes. First off, car and other equipment. Car is a Dodge Neon ES, headunit is a Sony GT330, front speakers are Powerbass 2xl-6.5's powered off the h/u, the sub is powered off of a Kicker KX400.1 at 2 ohm in 2.0 net sealed. Crossed at 90 hertz @ 12db per octave (only to help the coax's until I can amp them). Pics are in the other thread, for those interested. First thing I noticed listening to this sub is it's louder than my old Comp, which it should be, I'm giving it over 2x the power. I just ordered 2 15" Lethal Injections for my 2010 Lincoln MKS. I've got the 14 speaker THX sound system in it currently and I just went out today and got quotes for all new full range speakers and amps for it. The stock THX sounds really good but it's just not loud enough for what I'm used to. It was a REALLY tough call between the LIs and the Flatlynes, but after reading some reviews and feedback from other members I'm just not sure that the Flatlynes will have the kind of output I'm looking for. I'll be putting the LIs in a sealed box in the trunk at round 1.5 cubic feet each and 1200 watts to the pair (I will never run any kind of ported setup in any of my vehicles…

Ok, so right now I'm running 2 20.1's strapped at 1.5dcr daily and burping at .375dcr. This is on 2 DD3515's w/ 3 Deka 9a31's. I'm pulling my current box out tomorrow (was doing 53's). Will be rebuilding and going w/ a smaller box. The 20's are doing good, but I can't help but think...would a 40 do better? I have never played w/ a 40.1, so I have no idea what they are really like. So, what do you say?

Mine was chrushed during shipping and wondering if it was possible to get a replacement?

I just mailed my 20.1 amp off to ya today to have it repaired after it was shorted out. Hopefully not to much damage was caused. A few of the prong pieces on the outside edge of the board were fried so I don't know whats involved in replacing them but can't wait to get this baby back in my car. My brother ran the amp wire under my car and the wire rubbed and shorted out on my frame and in turned shorted out the amp. Work you magic please! Looking to build a box this weekend for a Death Row 18", 6.5 cuft, 90 inches of port area. Going to be a slot port, was wondering if it should be a 3" or 4" tall slot? Worried about wind noise (port noise) and tuning freq changing if the port is too narrow. Any advice? Should it really be bigger than 4" tall slot? Thanks!

I saw in the recommended thread it says: closed 28.3 - 39.6 liter This converted to cubic feet is 1-1.4 cubic feet. The displacement of the driver is .13 cubic feet. Does the recommended capacity include the displacement or I need an additional 1-1.4 cubic feet resulting in 1.13-1.53? Also, do you have any recommendations on where to buy said enclosure?

Ok, I have designed a box for both subs which I will be making my purchase today and I'm wondering which is the better route to go. The biggest I can go in my trunk is a box that is 2.50 @ 34hz gross after displacements. it measures 17h x 31w x 17d with the port are being 43.5(17.68 per cuft). I'm running a DB Drive amp, which I found where someone clamped them at 2300 @ 1 ohm. Which sub should I go with? DP 12 or DR 15? The box size is .25 cuft smaller than minimum for the DR 15. and exactly at average for the DP 12. I'd hate to lose the cone area going with the 12, but it would take more power. It's looking like to me that the DR is the way to go, thoughts?

Right now i have just a hair over 3 cubes to work with for 3 187 10's.... i have done them in this amount of volume ported and wasnt real happy with low end. has anyone had experience with these sealed?

I have power limitations, just 400wrms via Soundtream Rubicon 400.1 CEA compliant. I friend of mine told me that with that power, is safer to tune the box 35hz. Thats the lowest he could go with the 187 due to the 2" vc. So I want to know how big the box could be for 1 12" 187 ported and the tuning.

I have 2 new 21" dp's and I have a 88 s10 blazer, I can't fit them behind the back seat. I bought these going to wall my extened cab truck, but have sold the truck since. So do I go with something else or wall the blazer and lose my back seat in it? If I go with anything else it will be IA. And in the $1200 range so I can maybe trade these. I have roughly 10 cubes and want it as loud as I can get it. Unless I just deside to wall it. And I'm trying to keep from doing that if I can just as loud without doing the wall. So waht do you think? Input on subs? Oh I have two 20.1's for power.

Is there any real differance between the two? Pros and cons of the two?
