Thought I would post a few pics of my almost finished Accord IB setup. I need to trim this thing out and clean the wiring up a bit but you get the idea. The idea was to be as stealthy as possible without getting crazy. The sound is unlike anything I have ever heard in a car. I have been listening to Pink Floyd The wall C2K 36183, which is a high quality recording often referenced by folks reviewing high end audiophile equipment. The low end power is amazing while still being able to blend in with the mids nicely. Super detail in the bass and huge output. The gunshots at the end of disc one sound incredible. I was running a JL 10W3 in a sealed enclosure and there is noth…

Does anyone know the T/S parameters for the Lethal Injection 12 inch dual 2 ohm subwoofers? Local audio shop is building me a box and said he needed them to run the numbers and figure the best size for my box. The box is going to be sealed, I know alot of people like them ported. But I like them sealed, also I will be running them on a RF BD1500.1!!

Ive decided to go with an IA Lethal Injection sub for my first setup but cant decide whether to go with the 12" or 15" version. Either one will go into a properly built and designed enclosure and be receiving the same amount of power. I drive a small mid-80's hatchback. My question is what are the differences between the 12" and 15" version of the lethal injection subwoofer besides cone area? Does one hit harder or get louder than the other? What would you guys recommend? I listen to rap, techno, dubstep, rock, and some country.

This will be both upfiring in my hatchback (meaning this box will be laying on its back port up), the volume pre-sub is about 3.43cu and tuned at 31.7Hz, so I believe when the sub drops in it'll make it 3.27@32-ish? Do I have all this correct? I'm so incredibly stoked to buy this sub (although I'm just saving up for it now). Going to be pairing it up with a JBL bp1200.1 amp, probably with the dual 1 so I can hit 2ohms and not use the full 1400-ish watts that thing puts out at 1ohm.

Hey guys, looking for some help or recommendations on what i should do. I have 2 15" LI's coming and after some quick measuring and figuring out, I have enough space behind the seats for a 5.5 cubic ft box. So my question is should i do a slightly smaller ported box than recommended and add polyfill or should i go with the right size sealed enclosure. I've only ran 12s in sealed boxes, so any and all help is appreciated

So i have a sub on the way and am needing some box design help. I have a 18" death penalty that will be powered by a ppi bk1800.1d. I listen to mainly rap music with occasional nod to korn rob zombie and such and the wife makes me listen to country on rare occasion. Will be going in a 2008 gmc envoy. I emailed IA and they replied 5 to 7.5 cubes 60 to 120in of port most common 5 to 6 cubes at 70 to 90 inches 32-37hz Would like to use areo ports 1 or multiple which ever seems to get most suggestions.. probably like it between 33 and 34hz Probably like sub up ports back unless box gets to close to gate max dimensions are 45 wide x 19high x 26 deep Thanks for any hel…

Nick/Josh, I had a question about the 187 15" with use of a passive radiator, the radiator in question being the Exodus Audio PR15. What volume enclosure would I want to use with the passive? If it's close to the current box I have (2.2 before displacement), what would I want to tune the radiator to? I'm asking because I would LOVE to have another 187, but without a better electrical, that's not going to happen and with a PR, I can keep my trunk and still gain the output of a similar ported box. Thanks in advance, Kef

I hope this type of thread is not against the rules. I love this sub its loud but not distorted at all imho it has good SQ also, Its in a ported box with 64" of port area and a volume of 4 cubic feet ran off of a kicker 300.1 amplifier. I ordered it from SSA it arrived in a week undamaged and safe. I just wanted to post this for anyone thinking of buying a good sub thats not gonna be super loud but loud enough to make your ears hurt lol. Once again sorry if this is against any rules. Here is a link to a crappy vid i made of it the day after it was installed not yet broken in.

I believe I'm going to get an IA 187 10'' or a 12'' I was wondering if anyone can look over my numbers here to be sure that the box I'm planning on building will work correctly.(for a 12) IA Suggests. Ported 2 cubes - 2.5 cubes, 20 - 30 Inches of Port, 28-35 Hz I have designed a box using this tool. http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html Width 28" Box Height 16" Box Top Depth 12" Box Bottom Depth 18" Wood Thickness 0.75" Square Port Width 1.5" Square Port Length 4" (seems to help tune it in) This gives me. 30.063035251515 Hz I'm asking here, with these variables, Will this box sound good, and work well. I also plan on cutting the port in the opposing side,…

Here's a few pictures of two 187 12's under the back seat of a 2006 Fored F-150 powered by a Rockford 500.1BD. It was one of the loudest installs I have heard under the back seat of a pick up.

Ok, I know IA has been busy so I havent been able to get in contact with them this week. So I was hoping you guys( IA owners) could help out. I am going to rebuild my enclosure this weekend for my two 187 15s. They are running off a AQ 1200d and im getting a comfortable 14.8v to the amp at about half volume. Sense I am running roughly 1200-1400rms I was thinking about making the box 4-5^3ft instead of the recommended 6.0(with only 600rms). and I was going to do anywhere from 60-80" of square port at 36hz so let me know what you think I should do,Thanks.

Here is a little system I hooked up for a friend of mine.. 1965 VW Beetle Kenwood Excelon KDC-X692 2 Kenwood 6.5" 3-way coaxials in custom kick panels (forgot to take pics) 2 tweeters (already installed, sounded ok so I left em) 10" Incriminator Audio 187 in 2 cubes @ 35 hz (custom VW logo in plexi window) Hifonics BX1500d @ 2 ohms Future upgraded battery, and hopefully an alternator conversion I think it turned out very nice. Hits the lows in rap songs very well, and also hits all the bass drum kicks perfectly. I played the live acoustic version of Hotel California in it, and was very impressed with both the midrange and the bass kicks in that song.......so anyway, here …

I am currently sub-shopping for my birthday (early July), and have my eyes set on a pair of 187's. I have a few questions. 1. Is a port tuned to 45hz too high? I have zero experience with box building and found a fairly cheap prefab tuned to such (lol don't bash me too much) 2. Can these take 500rms daily? 3. I was gonna buy mine off of some site called Vertex.com, I was wondering if anybody had any experience with them? 4. I had my heart set on two RF P3's (lol again, don't bash me too much). I noticed they have a larger voice coil than 187's. Should this be a concern? 5. Last one, I promise. How toughly built are these subs? Cuz I live in Texas and it gets HOT, and I do…

Hey what's up guys. Ive been wanting to get some different subs for awhile now, try something new. They're are alot good options so it's a hard decision. I'm still undecided but I'm pretty sure I want to go with incriminator audio subs. My car is a 1999 ford contour, small trunk, and my seats don't fold down. Right now I have a 4.3 cu ft enclosure, 3 after sub and port displacement. It's a really tight fit, I have to take the back seat off and sliding it in that way. So I'd like to stay around 3-3.5 cu ft enclosure, so I can still access the spare if I have to. I'll be using a sundown sae-1200v2 for power. It's just for daily bass. like everyone else I'm wanting low, loud…

Ok, so right now I'm running 2 20.1's strapped at 1.5dcr daily and burping at .375dcr. This is on 2 DD3515's w/ 3 Deka 9a31's. I'm pulling my current box out tomorrow (was doing 53's). Will be rebuilding and going w/ a smaller box. The 20's are doing good, but I can't help but think...would a 40 do better? I have never played w/ a 40.1, so I have no idea what they are really like. So, what do you say?
