Ok, I bought a 12" Death Penalty on the last day of the sale and I am in the design process of the enclosure. My car is an 08 Infiniti G35 with factory Bose/Navi with a 10 inch factory sub in the rear deck. I will be taking the factory sub out in order to allow sound to x-fer to the passenger cabin. The majority of what I've read for trunk cars says, for best results fire sub back and port back. Would I be ok firing the sub face up into the vacant 10" hole, and firing the port back? The dimensions I have for my sub back/port back enclosure is 15.5" H x 31.5w x 16.25 d. This comes out to a final 2.22 cuft 33.48hz with 35 sqin of port. Now, I can adjust the box height up …

i was looking at the re amp it "says" it will do 200w x2 at 4 ohm. would 100w to 120w be to much i know they are rated for 85 rms. im pretty sure they are under rated so bad idea or go for it? also is it 85w per side or total dont know if this is a dumb question or not.

I'm planning on starting a slow build over the winter. I have a 2004 Celica, and I'm looking for starting with one 12", and moving onto two in the future. Budget isn't quite set, because most parts will be bought over the majority of winter. Goal is to be loud, but still decent sound. I'm not looking for competition spl, but I do plan on being loud and possibly entering some streetbass, but it's just a daily ground pounder with emphasis on getting loud. My question is, is the death penalty for me? I know it's a cliche question, and I usually hate these threads, but I can't find many reviews. Ok, I have designed a box for both subs which I will be making my purchase today and I'm wondering which is the better route to go. The biggest I can go in my trunk is a box that is 2.50 @ 34hz gross after displacements. it measures 17h x 31w x 17d with the port are being 43.5(17.68 per cuft). I'm running a DB Drive amp, which I found where someone clamped them at 2300 @ 1 ohm. Which sub should I go with? DP 12 or DR 15? The box size is .25 cuft smaller than minimum for the DR 15. and exactly at average for the DP 12. I'd hate to lose the cone area going with the 12, but it would take more power. It's looking like to me that the DR is the way to go, thoughts?

Will there be any smaller subs from IA in the future, talking about 10", 8" & 6,5".

How does this look for a box plan. I am looking at going ahead and buying a 21in DP since I have plenty of airspace to work with. I also wanted as much cone area as possible that would be ok powered by my Saz-1500v.2. This would replace the rear seats in my 07 F250 and would be at window line. Goal is to hammer the lows, get loud as piss and sound good doing it. Will this work or should I change anything. Sub / Port will be facing forward. Around 10cu tuned at 30hz

I aint found, seen, or heard of anyone running IAs in a Tundra, and i was looking to get loud. And I got a buddy in Street Shakers out of Montgomery that runs IA's and i know how good they sound and how loud they get. So....I went and bought me a 12" DP for the backseat. First, I custom made a box. Its about 2.75 cubes give or take, double walled, 33.75 inches of port, and heavy as all hell. Wish I had a picture of it alone but unfortunately i dont. Next, bought a second JVC Arsenal 1000 watt amp(and i already had one from a previous setup). Stacked them, and wired them all together. Alright guyz I'm looking to buy a 21in death penalty before the sale ends, is 2000rms ok for daily and 4000rms for burps? It will be in 8.5 ft3 after displacement with 3 8 inch aeros for 151 inches of port area tuned at 30hz. Will this be ok? Or should I try something diff?

I know ppl tend to get tired of the old this or that threads but a I am really getting ready to step to the plate. I am walling my 92 Honda Civic Sedan and have prob 15 cubes net. Should I run 3 15" Incriminator Audio Leathal Injections, or 2 18" death rows? Power will be between 2500- 3000 watts? Thank you guys for your suggestions

I want to do a 4th order for a single 21" Warden. What I want to know is has anybody had success with any Warden in a fourth and if so, what was the sealed/ported ratio? I plan on tuning relatively low for daily use, but there's no point in spending the time and money on the box if it won't work ya know!

So I was cruising Ebay for fun and came across this... LINK! Looks like the sub has no gasket, and no holes for mounting? I have no experience with IA products. Can someone explain this for me? I understand that the guy probably lost the gasket, but where the heck are the mounting holes? I'm just curious It's also not a bad price for a shipped 21" Death Penalty if its all legitimate. Don't see used 21's for sale too often! Thought I'd throw it out there for that reason too. Thanks! ~Jake

hey yall, well i finally got around to checking the coils on the flatlyne 15 i picked up a few days ago. its a dual 2 running at 4 ohms to my amp. my amp (at 4 ohms) is 500 watts. the rms is 750 so y am i smelling the coils???? im adding a second 15 so them will both be getting 500watts which shouldnt be a problem. especially if i can smell them cookin at 500 on one sub. what do u all think. y is this???

I've read amazing things about the flatlyne but they seemed a little expensive. I realize there is a sale going on this month. I'm looking for an upgrade from my 10" type r in a sealed box. I couldn't find any specific enclosure recommendations for the flatlynes. I heard that they do really well as infinite baffle but i'm looking for something in a ported box. I figure the extra 2" of cone space, 250 more watts rms and professional built ported enclosure would be a nice upgrade.

i sold everything and thought i was gettin out of audio, well almost a year later and I start over. I had fi bl 18's, and then aq hdc's. Considered running 4 aq 18s in a wall, but still would like to try the 21's. Would 3 dp 21's do ok off 1 sundown 3500d? Will be walled in a 98 expedition. I had talked to some guys last summer that told me not to run the 21's unless just burping them, said they wouldnt do good for daily. Well, this is just for daily driver, maybe some local comps. What suggestion do you have?
