Sooo... I was thinking about getting a Nightshade 12, but I see that they are sold out of the dual 2 models. My next choice after that is a DP 12. First off, would 1500W be enough for this sub on a daily basis? I have a US Amps Merlin MD2.D, and I'm not looking to compete or anything, just enough power to get the most out of the sub as a daily driver. Second, are there T/S params available for the DP? One of the things I like about the Nightshade is that it works well in small (1.5 cuft) boxes. Would this be too small for a DP, or would I need more like 2-3 cubes? I am looking for something with decent low-end extension down to 30 Hz, and not too peaky or boomy. The…

im building a box for 2 15" lethal injections and i need to know the cut id for the subs.

I know the cones aren't ready for the 21's yet, but the baskets are there, so what's the cutout sizes on both of those, so I can decide which one would work best for my situation?

Any chance the Flatlyne 15s will come in Dual 1 or Dual 4 ohm any time in the near future?

anybody have a dust cover blow up on em? went to blast it today and i noticed a bad clicking noise comming from the back and then i looked and the dust was still there just blown apart. any fix to it? super glue?

I was wondering how does the old dp look vs the new dp? Idk which one i have thow. Was the older a copper coil or a aluminum?

Ok, I have designed a box for both subs which I will be making my purchase today and I'm wondering which is the better route to go. The biggest I can go in my trunk is a box that is 2.50 @ 34hz gross after displacements. it measures 17h x 31w x 17d with the port are being 43.5(17.68 per cuft). I'm running a DB Drive amp, which I found where someone clamped them at 2300 @ 1 ohm. Which sub should I go with? DP 12 or DR 15? The box size is .25 cuft smaller than minimum for the DR 15. and exactly at average for the DP 12. I'd hate to lose the cone area going with the 12, but it would take more power. It's looking like to me that the DR is the way to go, thoughts?

Went to a local competition this weekend and have a few issues with the subs. First off they are in a 12 cubic foot wall with 210 sq inches of port for burps. Amps hooked to them were 2 AQ 3500s strapped at .5 ohm rising to 1.9ohm clamped at 6500, I went to burp at the show and did a 54.8 my first burp and a 55 my second burp. Decided to test door open about 10 minutes later burped for 3 seconds and did a 58. Went to try in the passenger kick panel door open and they started making a funny sound. Checked the impedence at the amps and its 1 ohm when it was .5 ohm a little bit earlier. Do you think I unwound a coil? The sub sounds funny so I unhooked the amps, but won't hav…

My original plan of running 2 Crescendo BC3500d amps to my 2 Death Penalty 18s fell through. Now I am in need of an amp. What is everyone pushing to there Death Penaltys? I was wanting a strong amp that can do .5 or 2 ohm for burps and 4 ohm daily. The reason my idea of the 2 fell through is because it was turning into a huge hassle to run 2 for burps and unhook 1 to run the single 1 daily. I seen wiring nightmare written all over it.

Hi- This is for a daily driver, listening to all types of music. Amp will be a Sundown 3500D. I'm trying to decide on my new setup. I'm kind of on the fence between a Death Penalty or an SSA Xcon 15". My main concern is the flatness of the frequency response on the DP. Is it comparable to the Xcon? From what I've read the Xcon has a very flat frequency response, which is why I am considering it. I've been dreaming of getting DP's for a while now, but I may have to get Xcon's if they would sound better for music. Please let me know, Thanks all.

i dont really have any knowledge about the death penalty. I see the warden is the flagship spl woofer, but what would the death penalty be comparable to as far as spl goes? it is an spl woofer right? EDIT: if you guys could, list some subs that this is similar too
